narrow toe box . pinky toe rubs

I’ve had these set aside for some time. I just started wearing g them for the last week and they hurt my feet in several places!

I’m sure the shoes are fine, but they are a gift and the box arrived with a big hole in it. I asked for a new box but was told that I would have to return the whole thing for an exchange. Very ecologically unfriendly. I declined.

I did not know how significant the redesign of the clifton was from 8 to 9. Sadly I have worn and cannot return but these felt like my heel was falling off the inside of sole.

I had a previous pair of Hokas, so I had high hopes for these. This was a different line than I had before, so maybe that made a difference. I wore these shoes for one month, but they started to hurt the ball of my foot so bad that it hurt when I walked. I took out the insoles and they were about as thin and flat as a piece of paper. I bought new insoles, but the damage had already been done and they didn’t help. I stopped wearing these Hokas and now two weeks later I still have residual pain in my right foot. Wearing different shoes with more support has made a difference. I do not recommend these shoes.

Horrible shoes hurt your back

Unfortunately I need a pair of gray hoka’s but this color is more purple than gray!

Uncomfortable

Not impressed with shoe. Less than 3 months of little use as pictures shows the sole is coming apart....

Shoes had clearly been worn already. Soles were dirty and worn out

It was so tight and my feet hurt immediately. I have RA so I need a wide toe box and comfortable shoes.

I loved the color. They were so uncomfortable. Hurt the bottom of my feet also the tongue was too high. Not for me.

Shoe tread is coming loose after only having shoes 2 months.

I was really disappointed in these, especially for the price point. The rubber pieces of the soles just started falling off about 3 months of use. I have shoes that are a fraction of this price that lasted 5 times as long. The quality is just not there. Won’t buy again.

I have another pair in the same size and brand and they fit great while the pair I just got feels too narrow.

The shoes I received are not the same as the photos. The vanilla color is also not cream, they are peach pink. Very disappointed. They also did not come in the original box, and didn't have any branded packaging or anything. I'm suspicious of these.

The redesign of the Clifton is unfortunate. It has a longer tongue and more padding around the collar that causes the shoe to rub when I am walking, which is really weird, because the shoe itself fits well. they have changed the overall balance of neutral to make it more stacked and plush, in my opinion a really bad choice. The rocker has also changed and it is irritating for me to wear. I'm really disappointed in Hoka, I have a bad back and the Cliftons have been the only shoe I've found that are comfortable to walk long distances in. They seem to breakdown more quickly, but the latest redesign means I am back to looking for shoes.

I would not know how the shoes fit because Zappos did not send me these shoes. They sent me a completely different shoe in a different size. Disgusted.

Awful. Have worn Ons for years, decided to try Hokas - blisters after my first run. Unable to return so, buyer beware.

This was my third pair of Hokas. I loved the first 2 pairs, and this pair nearly destroyed me. I noticed right away that my feet were tipped forward and inward in this shoe, but I thought - "I just need to break them in." The pain came on gradually which meant I ascribed it to other causes. But everything hurt - ankle, knee, back, hips, shin. I was limping noticably, and I went to a muscle restoration therapist for help. I finally decided to go with the Brooks Ghost that I'd loved in the past, hoping that a different shoe would help, and the change was dramatic. The pain was gone in 24 hours. I probably won't ever buy another pair of Hokas.

Have worn Ons for years for running. Tried my first pair of Hokas - instantly got blisters. Sadly Zappos doesn’t except returns and I’m stuck with an expensive pair of shoes. Beware.

I purchased these for my mother. She related that when she slipped her feet into the shoes it felt that her toes were lifted upward and it was very uncomfortable. She felt off balance

Hard as a rock - no cushioning whatsoever eve though it was recommended for the treadmill.
