The shoes makes you look like a clown. They have something at the end that makes you look 2 sizes bigger. Also the gray on them makes them look old and worn out. The only positive is that they are comfortable.

I have always loved Hokas but they do not last a year. The tread on mine are completely gone and it hasn't been a year. I have had to replace my last 2 pair after 6-8 months. It's a lot of money to spend on shoes that don't last. I contacted Hoka about the tread being gone and they wouldn't replace them since I bought from a different store.

This is my 7th pair of Hokas and I was looking forward to them. By the second week of wearing them my right foot became painful by mile 2 but as soon as I removed the shoe my foot was fine. I've gone back to my older Cliftons and will exchange the new ones for Bondi's. All the hokas are redesigned often so I'm guessing this redesign may be the issue.

Have purchased many, many pairs of Hoka shoes. By far, my favorite shoe; buy them for employees too. We work on our feet all day installing furniture, artwork, etc. and Hokas were recommended by a podiatrist. Been wearing only them for past 2 - 3 years. Purchased this pair for my daughter's Birthday present on 10/29... it's now 11/13 and they still haven't shown up yet!! VERY Disappointed. Her Birthday was 11/10!

Unfortunately this Hoka does not serve me well. They're attractive, comfortable and cushy. However I bought them to provide a good shoe for city walking which this is not for me. I have pronation and require a sturdy walking shoe. I'm disappointed given the description of this shoe led me to think it would be a good choice for my needs.

I can’t exactly describe it but when I wear these they make me feel like I’m leaning back and it makes me walk awkward. I love the look but for my long miles it makes my feet sore.

Ordered my normal size 9 in Hokas - never had an issue. These arrived, I threw away the box and put them on for work as an RN. Realized quickly they were about a 1/2 - whole size to big

Ugh. I LOVE the Clifton 8. I bought these with high hopes. The toe box feels MUCH narrower--- to the point of where it was painful.

Bought first pair which were a little too tight. Called to exchange for a wide. Received the wide pair and they were too wide. Then the problems began. Have been trying to return this pair but the web site will not let me. I have been trying for 3 weeks and have talked to customer support 3 times. Each time I am told that the web site is not working properly, so "I need to just keep trying". Really! Hoka has been around for how long and this is the process? If you have to exchange, I would recommend you go for some other brand. I am beyond disgusted. Will not buy from this company no matter how good the shoe feels!

I have worn the Clifton for several years. Last year I bought the Clifton eight in white and black. I could wear them all day and my feet did not hurt at all. This year I updated my white ones to the Clifton n 9. Needless to say, I'm very disappointed in them after several hours I need to take them off. The soles are not as soft and the fabric used is very uncomfortable. I hope that Hoka will take all this into consideration, and maybe not change a good thing when they have it. Hopefully the next Clifton will be better. Otherwise, I may have to look elsewhere, which I hate to do.

Unfortunately, there is too much “play” in this shoe (side to side). There is very little structural support- if you pronate or have loose ankles, this is NOT the shoe for you.

I've been buying the Clifton for a long time and raved about it. This shoe is not the same. Something's just different. It's got less arch support and feels wider in the toes. I'm on my feet all day, and now have ankle and foot pain after just a couple hours. This may be a great shoe for someone else, but it no longer meets my needs.

I tried several sizes and styles and they all are too narrow at the ball of the foot area for women with large feet. I wear a 10.5 and the wide still was narrow at this area. the shoes are comfortable except for this area as it puts pressure on the outer side of the foot and toes.

I have about 8 pair of HOKA's and while they are very comfortable on my feet they don't last long. I got a pair of hikers that the first time I put them on they fell apart. Went to pull the laces tight and the eyelet broke and I needed them because it was going away and got back and never sent them back. I also have a pair of Gaviota 4 that I loved. They were out of warrenty I didnt wear them often and I wasn't hard on them and the eyelet crapped out on those too. I emailed Customer Service but they ghosted me so I'm done I'll go back to ASICS

I used the warranty process because my less than 1 year old shoes that are worn only for walking had the entire tread rip up one day and they were destroyed. I got a new pair a few weeks ago and I can see one of the treads is already ripping up. I use these very lightly as I have different shoes I'll run or lift in, so there's no reason for them to be destroyed so quickly. They're comfortable, but don't seem to be made well.

I'm so disappointed that Hoka changed these so much. I have cerebral palsy and the Clifton 8's were game changer for me. I had less foot pain when I wore them. The 8's were cushy, supportive, wide and breathable. The 9's do have great support, but they are more narrow, stiffer and hot.

I ordered the wide due to a bunion on my right foot and a sore little toe from too narrow shoes. Unfortunately, they were not wide enough and put too much pressure on the little toe and became very painful after a short time of trying the shoes out in the house. I had to return the shoes. These shoes helped my daughter with her foot issues so much and I was very hopeful. Just needed a bit wider toe box. The shoe was fine for my left foot.

I loved my Hoka Clifton 8. Fast forward to now. Just received Hoka Clifton 9. Stiff, hard and uncomfortable. The best shoe I ever exercised in had been changed. My favorite line is "If it ain't broke, don't fix it". Will return these and switch to On Cloud. Done with Hoka.

Went for a walk and my left leg started hurting and my right outside of my foot started burning real bad. Never had that issue before with any other shoe. I had to stop to make sure there wasn't anything in the shoe making it burn.
