I loved this shoe. It was very comfortable, except the toe box was to narrow and short. I ordered a size 10 medium. I am
considering ordering a 10 1/2 wide, hope this might correct the above problems. The shoe was very soft to walk in, without being overly soft and causing me to feel off balance. I sent the shoes back.
The color, sorry cannot remember the color name, it was a very soft, pale teal. Correct the above features and it would be absolutely perfect.

The shoe was ok but nothing special for the money. Reason returning is the tongue on the shoe goes up my leg about 1.5” and is very uncomfortable and bothersome. Caused rubbing on my leg.

The other reviews were correct, the longer tongue makes these much less comfortable than the 8’s. The tongue rubs my ankle bone. That’s my only complaint, though. They still feel much better than the Bondi’s. I wear a 7-7.5 in shoes and an 8 in HOKAs.

These were nothing like the Clifton 8 which were like walking in marshmallows. The Clifton 9 has almost no cushion. I decided to keep them, but I'm disappointed that the super comfort of the Clifton 8 is missing.

I bought these shoes because the Clifton 8’s were hands down the best supportive shoe for my feet. Im up and down a lot as a nurse and this shoe helped with my back and knee pain. I’m not sure what all was changed with the Clifton 9’s but they aren’t as plush, more firm, but don’t feel as supportive for some reason. So I am wearing my 8’s for the 3rd year until I find another shoe that works for me.

My first pair of shoes were Hoka and I went with regular width and they felt tight. This second pair I tried a wide and my foot moved around too much in the shoe.

Why the re-design? The longer tongue on the 9 isn't helpful.
And PLEASE designers...stop with all the pink! Its bad enough the wider widths have limited choices, but then to slap a large pink logo on an otherwise nice blue/orange shoe just because its for women??? Argh! For this amount of money I don't want to look like a 1950s granny.

Second pair of Clifton's. I love them. However, the bottom pieces on the sole of the shoe have begun to peel. So I'll be walking and feel a piece of the sole flapping in the wind. Which I should add is a tripping hazard lol. I super glued the pieces down. So far I've had to glue 4 separate pieces down. I've had them for 5 months. For the price it's frustrating and I'll hesitate to buy Hoka again.

I've been wearing Cliftons and Bondis pretty much daily for about 5-6 years now. I absolutely LOVE them. I have turned SO many friends and family onto Hokas, and they all love them too. I ordered the same size I've always worn, but they feel too snug. I wore them a few days to see if they would loosen up a bit or if I could get used to it, but it didn't work. I was beyond excited to get a new pair bc I wore mine well beyond their worth. I'm disappointed that the fit is different than my old ones. I also very strongly dislike the little wings that are in the back of the shoe. I don't understand the purpose of them. They look odd. I'm going to return these and try the new version of the Bondis and hope I have better luck.

I love the padding in Hoka, but there is NO arch support. Why have shoe makers stopped building arch support into their product?

Hoo, waaaaay too narrow for me, crushed my toes. The pink color is fine, not wild about the pattern though.

Initially felt comfortable but after wearing for half the day the toe box felt narrow and hurt the toes. I do not have a wide foot but maybe I should have purchased the wide I'm hoping that I'll break them in as I continue to wear them

Size, fit and style were fine but I usually wear Hoka Bondi's and I realized why: more cushioning. The Clifton just wasn't as comfy. I hadn't ever tried one on.

The shoes are very comfortable, but the decorative lime green piping on the left shoe is already pealing off. I've only had the shoes 15 days and only worn them for about an hour a day. Not sure how they are going to hold up.

I had heard how wonderful the Hoka shoes are. I bought them the end of January, and they are not comfortable. I expected more for the price. I kept thinking they would get better and let the return time pass.

I bought these because I wanted a cushy shoe for my plantar fasciitis, and I don't like the style of the Bond 8 (which I think look and feel like clown shoes!) I like the style and color of these Clifton 9's, but realized after a couple of longer walks that my feet were pronating too much, and that these shoes didn't have the support I needed. So, I put on my Bondi 8 clown shoes and felt better, and put on my Bondi 7's and felt even better! If you don't pronate, these shoes will probably be great for you.

I never even tried them on. I already have a pair of Bondi 8 and one glance at these told me that the toe box was smaller and so I knew I didn't want to keep them.

I have worn HOKA Clifton for years. This one fit differently - seemed a bit large as my heel kept sliding up, even if I laced them tighter. So tried a half size smaller and my toes hit the front. Luckily, I ordered a few of the Clifton 8 before they moved to the Clifton 9, so at this point will just wait for the Clifton 10 to get a new pair. Also, as a side note the tongue is much longer and rubbed the front of my ankle which was uncomfortable. Lastly, there is an inside piece of fabric that isn't stitched down and every time I tried to insert my orthotics it would catch on it. Hopefully those 2 items will be fixed with Clifton 10!
