I love the lavender and blue colors of my Clifton 9s. I also find them super lightweight and very bouncy/cushiony. I have knee and hip problems, and wearing these to walk is a real pleasure; I believe they reduce the shock on my joints and allow me to walk farther and faster, without pain. The sizing is a bit of an issue. The B width is fine, but the length is barely adequate. I will have to trade in my trusty wool socks for something much thinner, to ensure a non-crowded fit.

I was looking for comfortable walking shoes for warmer weather and I tried different top brands with no success. I had issues with size and fit. I tried the Clifton 9 at a local store yesterday and to my surprise I couldn't take them off. It felt like they were made for me. My feet a long and narrow with a bunion. I wore them today at work for 9 hours and they are super comfortable and bouncy. Can't wait to go on long walks on my vacation. The design is very good- I purchased the light blue which I like very much and although the shoe looks large, it's very compact. My usual size is 9,5 and some shoes are snug, but in this model I purchased 9B for women. I will recommend it to family and friends.

Conceptually and aesthetically, I loved the shoes. But the for for the new version wasn't right and caused a weird strain in my front tendon. I thought it might go away, but instead it got worse and now bothers me with other shoes, as well. Very bummed. I loved the last version of these shoes.

They are the BEST sneakers evr ,,like walking on a cloud !! Don't have knee n back issues near as bad when I wear Hoka's LOVE THEM & THE COLOR CHOICES ARE GREAT !! Chose the Clifton 9. This time n oh my HAPPY FEET !!!! THANK YOU FOR MAKING THE BEST SHOES EVER !!

I walk everyday and needed a shoe to absorb some of the impact of walking on streets and sidewalks. After reading so many glowing reports and talking to other walkers who are fans, I had high hopes for perfection. I was less than blown away. Sure, there is a lot of cushion but the toe box is overly roomy and the shoe tongue comes up too high on the front of my ankles. Of course, I will wear them but for this price point, I was disappointed.

My Clifton 9's are my first pair by Hoka and I am OBSESSED! Best shoe I have every owned!

I love this shoe. I feel like I am walking on air. No back pain or hip pain. Love it and would recommend it to everyone. I usually wear a nine. Went to an 8.5 and it was perfect.

I am on my feet all day. I have knee and ankle pain but with these shoes it is much less noticeable. I will definitely buy Hoka again!

Because I have bunions and knee issues, cushion and comfort are important and the Clifton 9s are both. When I tried them on they felt tight around by bunions and I thought I should have gotten a wide. But after a week, the tightness eased and my feet and bunions are happy.

The most comfortable shoe for walking daily. Definitely recommend.

Fits big. I should have ordered a half size smaller

I'm on my feet all day whether it's at work or at home keeping up with my very active German Shepherd, so these shoes keep my feet comfortable all day long. They're lightweight and in my honest opinion, Clifton is probably my favorite style of all Hoka shoes. I have quite a few, but these are definitely keepers!

The best hug is when your shoe hugs your feet like a hand in glove. My feet have never felt so cradled in a shoe like these Hokas. I actually meant to get the Bondi because I could use the extra plush cushioning, but these Cliftons are excellent for me to transition from non-walker to walker to eventually light jog with the Bondis. I can't wait! Glad I've found a new shoe fwamily! Okay group hugs< < < < \0/>>>> A very happy camper!

I had been advised by two Hoka customer service reps that the 9 was just like the. 8 - only a bit higher and somewhat lighter. Simply not the case for me. The nine felt wider and longer.

I've only worn these once, out for a short run. I've been wearing Cliftons for a few years but this is my first try with the new model. Cushioning was good, everything felt good, except that the tongue is much bigger than on the 8 and it rubs my ankle bone. I know we're all shaped differently and it's impossible to account for everyone's foot but the last model (with the controversial attached tongue) worked better for me. Still--I can't run in any other shoe now because the cushioning is awesome so I am actually going to buy quarter length running socks to accommodate the shoes. Inconvenient but probably worth it in the end. I do wish shoe companies in general would stop with the insane, constant "redesigns" that end up pleasing no one.

Could be wider in toe

These sneakers can go from biking to CrossFit to hiking. I feel sure and supported in them.

I purchased these for a vacation where I knew I was going to have to do a lot of working. My shoes were perfect. They did not rub or hurt anywhere. In the past, I've had problems with a callous on the ball of my left foot. These shoes were so cushiony that I felt like I was walking on clouds.

I went into a store to try on a pair of Hoka shoes to see what the fuss was all about. I wasn't planning on buying them, I just had to know. I laced them up, stood up, bounced around, and fell in love. I went up 1/2 a size just like I do with my other sneakers and they were comfortable right out of the box. I wore them for my morning walk, and they felt...different for the first block or so, after which they just felt awesome. The shoes did scare my cats a bit because they are bigger and more brightly colored than the walking shoes I normally wear, so I'll give the cats extra treats until they adjust.
