I purchased Womens Clifton 9. First thing that I like is that the tongue stays in place! I think it's the first time and I've had many different brands of shoes. Second they are roomy and have good support and cushion. I would like to have a little more in the heel. I suffer from knee and heel pain that's why I purchased this shoe. I hope they last because most other brands do not. I stand a lot and I'm 47 years old so I'll pay the price if the shoe is worth it. So far I haven't had as much knee and heel pain. I also like the looks of the Clifton, they have a lot of support in the middle of the shoe. There is enough room to add an extra insole if you need it.

Love how comfortable these are, especially with my planters fasciitis. Fit is perfect, true to size. It's Like I'm walking on clouds. Will definitely buy a couple more pairs. Highly recommend!

Our daughter's wish as birthday gift and we didn't know how happy we made her; she absolutely loves them. So much that now my husband also wants to buy himself a pair. Our daughter says it's like being on a cloud.

I bought my first pair with high expectations. The shoe's cushion is a total upgrade from what I have been using and really can tell a difference. I have lower back and knee issues so was looking for more support. However, I wish they had a narrow version, the shoes are definitely more wide than a typical size 7. My feet are narrower to begin with but I had to double check it I accidentally ordered extra wide. I had not. Still trying them out but worried they are too wide.

Wear everyday while giving tours to new students and parents at my university. Do a lot of walking all day and feel no pressure points on shoes. Have been asked how they feel by other students and tell them very light weight and comfortable

I LOVED the Clifton 8s. I'd bought three pairs. They were perfect and comfortable. The 9s are SO bad. The tongue digs into the top of my foot when laced and it is so painful. I thought they just needed some breaking in, but it's been a week and nope. Guess I'm stuck with these terrible expensive shoes because I already wore them and threw away the box (shouldn't have had so much faith in Hoka!).

I plan to use for daily walks and hope to eliminate my low back and sciatica pain. The information provided recommended to order the next size up from what you would generally wear which is a 7.5W. I feel that I am getting adjusted to the shoe which does not feel like my regular sneakers.

I am a review reader so wanted to give my honest opinion of these shoes. I bought some because my coworkers said how comfortable they are, which they are but just did not work well with my feet. They made my feet and back hurt after wearing them the first day. Brooks work better for mine. If it wasn't for that I would have loved them, they are very comfortable!

I've spent decades and by this time spent thousands of $$ trying to find an athletic shoe that doesn't hurt my feet but after purchasing my 1st pair of HOKA my search has ended!
I'm a very active 67 y/o female and walk daily, between 4-7 miles. The trouble I was having that made finding an athletic shoe so difficult is that I have peripheral neuropathy in both feet. Recently I couldn't help but notice my neighbor taking off for a walk sporting the most colorful shoe and asked her about them. She told me she'd read somewhere that HOKA shoes were the best for someone with plantar fasciitis and she loved them, so I thought I'd try a pair.
Ordering was very easy and it wasn't long before my shoes arrived and tbh when I took them out of the box I couldn't believe a shoe this light could offer any substantial support or comfort but, wow, was I wrong. These are so comfortable, offering stability plus the cushion I so desperately needed. My first walk wearing them I went 5 miles easily and afterwards I didn't hurt anymore than my controlled pain.
I have definitely found my forever athletic shoe, they are amazing. And it's nice to see the flair of color other than the basic black and white; the color options offered are like none other.
I highly recommend these shoes, I promise you, you cannot go wrong!

I am a walker, 3-4 miles per day. I am prone to plantar fasciitis & was looking for a supportive shoe that would cushion my heels. I've only been on a few walks but it feels like I'm walking on a cloud. Time will tell on the support issue but so far so good!

Wanted to love, very cushy and nice rocker. Tried 7w and 6.5w, size difference between them was huge. 7w felt/looked like big boats on feet, 6.5w was better, but the oval shape of the toe box put pressure on pinky toes. Had to return. I wish Hoka would get onboard with the more footshaped toe box thing, but keep their rocker sole and shorter heel-toe drop. That would literally be the perfect shoe for so many people. I love the shape of a certain other footshaped toe box brand, but can't wear for longer periods because they're all zero drop and aggregate my Achilles since I walk/hike and don't run. Someone really needs to make footshaped toe box walking /hiking shoes that are not zero drop and use a rocker sole. The Clifton, Speedgoat, and Anacapas would all be perfect shoes for me if the toe box was just shaped more like my actual foot! I barely make do with my Speedgoats and Anacapa breeze, but only because they're so stretchy that they don't kill my pinky toes, but they're still not perfect just close enough since there are no better options at the moment. I only recommend Hokas to people with skinnier oval shaped feet. Anyone with feet shaped like mine I steer toward a certain footshaped toe box brand as long as they can tolerate zero drop

I'm coming off of a lower back strain, pushing 40, and frustrated with every shoe that doesn't help me run my normal 11 min mile. I've ran my whole life it's what keeps me happy, focused, and healthy. I was a long time asics kyano fan but every few years the shoe is changed and it's not enough padding for me and brooks too wide for my narrow foot. I've tried all the shoes! After a two month break from running to heal my back I tried the hoka bondi 8. I'm great full that they allowed me to run again without back pain but..I could not get used to being a 13 min mile or how sluggish I feltwhat I loved, running, became so laborious-like running in a bounce house or on a beach. So I tried old school pegs from Nike.knees were horrible after and my back was stiff. I went back to hoka and tried the Clifton 9. They felt so fun, springy, easy, and did not add time to my miles. Ran 2 today (working back up to my daily 30 min/ 3 mi) and my back, knees, hips, ankles feel great! These fit perfectly (the bondi ran a size big and while a great on your feet all day shoe I could not get used to running in them) hoka clifton is my unicorn I
Found it and am so excited!
