But I had the opportunity to try on the Clifton 8 the other day. The toe box room IS GONE in this model. They are comfortable, but require a break in for not-quite-wide feet that really enjoyed the previous model.
Love the cushion and structure.

I LOVE these shoes. I work in healthcare so I work 12 hour shifts with breaks that are few and far between and these shoes have helped so much with my lower back and knee pain I experience from work. Highly recommend!

I am in my feet 10 to 12 hours a day...I have bunions, plantar fascitis, corns, and calluses.... this is my first pair.... and I love them... my feet are finally starting to feel better

I am looking for a replacement for my beloved Bondi 7s for all day casual wear and walking. I don't like the Bondi 8it's not the same and seems wider in the toe box and my foot moves around too much.
Sadly the Clifton 9 is not the shoe I'm looking for. It looks similar to the Bondi 7 but is not comfortablefelt like I was walking on rocks. Also, there is an extended part at the heel that is odd looking

I have battled plantar fasciitis off and on for years. After a recent flare up, I made google my friend and began researching podiatrist sites and decided to try a shoe with a set heel drop. After looking at different brands I decided to try the Clifton 9's. They came in on Friday, I wore them for a few hours on Saturday and Sunday, then to work (I'm an elementary teacher). By Thursday morning I noticed that I had very little arch pain. By the weekend I had zero pain! Everyone asks where I found solid white Hoka's, I direct them online. I love the neutral color!

After reading several reviews on best shoes for Disneyland I went ahead and picked these up. I am so glad I did my feet couldn't have been happier. I went with wide width though (all my other shoes are regular width) the regular ones felt a little snug not uncomfortable I probably could have pulled em off but with all the walking I knew was coming at Disney didn't want to chance it. Great purchase highly recommended.

I ordered black HOKA and I receive grayish. I can't wear that color at work. I am dissatisfied for the price that I paid and to get the wrong color.

I've been wearing Cliftons for years - have had probably 15+ pairs of 5s, 6s, 7s, and 8s. The 9s run really large and wide. Normal size was massively too big, and so wide I don't know that sizing down would work. Padding/fit is also quite different, and IMO much overdone. They feel less stable and more bouncy than past Cliftons.
Please bring back older style Cliftons!! I'm on my last pair of 8s I had stashed!

I use this shoes for every day running about 5miles
Feel like my feet are so light and running is easier than before .
I haven't experienced such a easy run so I would buy this model next time!

How strange that my Zappos order was delivered in an Amazon box from an Amazon driver. If my purchase was actually from Amazon, it should be clearly stated before the purchase.
As for the shoes, they are great!! My high-arched feet have changed over the years due to pregnancy, arthritis, diabetes, and very painful plantar fasciitis. I once could throw on any pair of shoes, but now my feet are fussy. My feet were instantly loving the Clifton 9s!
These shoes feel very supportive overall while still providing a comfortable cushion. The outer width is pretty standard looking compared to the Hoka Bondi 8, which has a super wide footprint. This shoe is also incredibly lightweight - I initially thought the box was empty! Hokas also come in beautiful colors.
Hokas are expensive, but if you have foot pain it may be worth giving them a try.

Great fit. My heel didn't raise up like my other shoes did. This sneaker has a higher piece of material to support that at the heel. The first day I wore them I was delighted. My feet, knees and back didn't feel pain or stressed. I had more energy to keep moving. I broke the top of my foot a while back so I still have to be careful. These sneakers have great impact support and are soft enough for my fragile foot.
I'd also recommend:
New Balance and would like to try Kuru

I work at a pharmacy and I'm always on my feet and walking everywhere. These are so comfortable and perfect for being on my feet all day. It doesn't hurt after my shifts.

Since I started wearing these sneakers, I wear nothing else. I have plantars fasciitis and the cushion & support help tremendously. I am a fast walker not a runner, so the Clifton 9 is perfect.

I have arthritis in my feet and ankles so I need a special shoe. I have been wearing Z-Coils for years because my feet are so bad. I love them - BUT - I have finally found another shoe that works for my feet! I can go on walks and hikes and do all my daily stuff with these. They are very comfortable. These shoes are great; I never want to take them off! I will definitely be buying more!
By the way, I have already recommended these to people and I've only had them a couple of weeks.
