I bought these shoes for a trip to Tennessee. We walked around Nashville, Pigeon Forge, the Great Smokey Mountains, and Knoxville. I used them for walking and light hiking. They were really tight on the top of my feet. After a while they would be too painful to wear. I am nervous about wear them again but I may need to break them in. I tried to adjust the laces but they were always too tight. I wore running socks with them and still had issues.

The seam that sits directly on top of the bend of your toes is way too tight - the shoes felt great at first but after walking 30k+ steps a day during my trip, by day 3 my foot were a bit more swollen than usual and no matter how hard I tried to loosen that seam, it was so tight on my toes. The shoes were even size up half a size just in case my feet got swelled up.
My toes started to feel super tingly and numb towards the end of the day so I had to buy a random pair of shoes in an area that didn't have clothing/shoes stores present just to feel some relief. Ever since that trip (12 months) I've had nerve pains all throughout my toes and legs.

I was really excited to try these Hoka shoes because they felt great at first lightweight, cushioned, and very comfortable. Unfortunately, after just about a month, the left shoe started pulling my sock down every time I walked or ran, which caused a painful blister on my heel. I later noticed a big hole forming in the back of the left shoe where the fabric had worn out.
For the price, I expected them to last much longer. It's disappointing because the comfort was great initially, but the quality didn't hold up.

I needed comfortable walking shoes for a trip and several people recommended Hoka shoes. They felt great from the start and didn't need to be broken in. I purchased a size larger than normal and they fit great.

The fit is good and I had high hopes for the shoes. But the the material on the inside of the heels has rubbed off and irritates my heel. This seems to be a problem with Hokas.

The sneaker has excellent support and a cushiony feel. During my first wear, I experienced bunion pain. I would not recommend it if you have bunions.

I purchased these shoes for a trip to Italy. Wanted a white pair of good walking shoes to wear with dresses. These were absolutely perfect, supportive, stylish and not one foot issue for my entire trip.

Really cute style. I wanted a traveling shoe and was certain this would be great for comfort and sport. After wearing them around the house for a few days I realized they didn’t meet either expectations. Very pricey without delivering.
I'd also recommend:
Oncloud, Saucony and Salomon

First pair of Hoka shoes I've owned and they fit well and are comfortable. They did require a two to three day "break in period". Only gave them 4 stars because the color was described as Granite, but are really purple. Also I do love the stretch laces closure.

I can't express how much I love this shoe! It's everything I wanted and more! My first toggle closure! With an extra pair of regular laces!
The ride is cushioned and sure. The color yells Autumn! I may sleep in them!!!

I bought two pairs of Transports July 2025. They were black and beautiful. They are true to size and easy to put on. However, these shoes comfort doesn't last. I stopped wearing them because they hurt my feet walking and standing as of September 2025, I no longer wear them due discomfort and pain on my feet. In our experience, these shoes aren't made to be worn daily and for walking or long standing. Long periods of time I wouldn't buy them again and their cost is high.

I am currently in my second trimester and was told I needed more supportive footwear as my feet are flattening. That all being said, I still fit into all of my other shoes so I didn't stray to a larger size or wider width. With these shoes, I wish I had. My toes feel very compressed, however the look of these shoes is versatile and neutral. I would definitely purchase a wider size and half size up if I were to get these again.

I bought these shoes in February and have been wearing them to work everyday since. I walk at least 20,000 steps a day and most of the time near 30,000. These shoes gave me back pain, knee pain and hip pain that I found unexplainable around month 6. A friend suggested it might be my shoes so swapped back to a different pair of hokas that were gifted to me and the pain went completely away after the first wear

They are cute, clean up well, but don't have as much cushions as the other Hokas I have bought. Not the shoes fault but just be aware

I'm new to HOKA, the Transports are exactly what I wanted. Love the fit, comfort, support, upper and sole materials, toe guard, toggle lace and style. Another brand I'd worn for years has plummeted in quality and I'm ecstatic to have found these as I walk everywhere, don't own a car.

Great shoe with excellent traction. I love the vibrant soles. Not as high and squishy as some other Hokas, plus lots more rubber on the sole. Perfect for being on deck for hours at swim meets!

Bought a pair of regular width white transports a year ago from a brick and mortar sporting goods store. They wore out and I wanted to order replacements. I ordered a replacement for my original white pair and an additional black pair, since I wore my original white pair quite a bit. I ordered both in wide width because I decided I wanted more room for my toes.
What showed up were shoes that were narrower than my original regular width pair I bought year ago. The black ones were not just narrower, but were tighter all over. Held up side by side, my original old pair regular width shoes are visibly wider. Held up sole to sole my original regular width pair sticks out more to the sides than these new "wide" width pairs I received.
Had to return both right away unfortunately, which also sucked since I lost out on the 10% online new member discount. If I had known the manufacturing on these changed to make the shoes more narrow I wouldn't have repurchased them.

I have wide feet, and I wear Clifton10s in wide very comfortably. By comparison, the Transport in wide felt very narrow, and the low heel hit in an uncomfortable spot on my heel. Back to the Cliftons for me.

Three stars because I have to return these. Should have paid more attention to the reviews. 168 poeple said the shoe runs narrow. I ordered an 8 regular -- my normal size in other Hoka modelsm although my feet are slightly wide. This style was too tight for me and pressed painfully on a bunion. I've never had that problem in a Hoka, I own two pairs (in regular width) that were comfy right out of the box. This shoe rubbed against the back of my heel, too, even though the length was perfect, so it's not a function of being too short. I'm going to exchange for wides, and hope for the best. They are much lighter than my other Hokas (less padded? we'll see). I wanted them for everyday use and they seem designed for a college teacher like me who has to walk some distance across the campus every day. I'll review again once I get the wides. A note on this color -- I ordered "smoky quartz". It's lighter than pictured. I was expecting a deeper shade verging toward burgundy but it's more mushroom, with a silky finish. Very pretty, actually -- a useful neutral.

I was hoping these would work as a good daily walking around shoe since they aren't quite as chunky as the Clifton 9's I use in the gym. After putting them on the first time I immediately felt a lot of pain in my ankle and an old injury in my hip that rarely bothers me anymore. I was hoping it would go away after a bit and that it might just be retraining my joints with shoes that had better support, but after a little over a week I had to admit defeat. I stopped wearing them and the pain disappeared. The shoes were a bit stiffer than I often wear, so if you struggle with stiffer shoes, I'd try a different pair with more cushioning. If you do fine with stiff shoes, this one may be fine for you.
