My foot is a normal width but should've bought a wide. My toes kill me after an hour of wearing them.

Bought these for travel. Unfortunately, it made my trip a nightmare :( These shoes hurt me so bad, even though I had the correct size. Too small and they are so uncomfortable, I wish I had tried them before I left. I trusted Hoka.

What a gorgeous and unique color! A cross of a deep misty grape, a dark mauve, a touch of brown, a touch of grey just gorgeous! This is also a great shoe. For my foot, not ideal for long distance walks over one half mi, as I do need more cushion (hello Bondi 9!), but excellent for general walking and most errands. Could even turn this into my new house shoebut I think it deserves more exposure. A great buy with the sale. I also appreciate the natural materials incorporated, the good toe box room (I was a little concerned, but it passes), and the great style! Very good looking quality shoe! Love it. If it had just a little more plush to it, for those of us who need it, it would have easily deserved 5 stars.

I wear an 9.5 in UA and Nike and these fit the same. The had more arch support than I was expecting, but were not quite as cushioned as I hoped. The bungee lace makes for easy on and off, plus they have a great everyday style.

TLDR: This is a weird shoe. It has the sole for hiking, the lacing for a quick trip to the grocery store, and enough ceiling room in the toe box to hang a chandelier. I bought this shoe to replace my Torrent 2s that I loved. I did not however love the latest iterations of Torrent so I had to try something else. I tried several other styles before I landed on Transport (really as a last resort).
Pros: I like the upper fabric. I love the Vibram sole. I like the simple design (no silly graphics and crappy colors like the new Torrents).
Cons: The shoe is the correct length but it is so bulky around the toe box area. Just so much vertical space above my toes. The heel is so difficult to lock down. Forget hiking in these with the quick laces - my foot would never stay in the shoe. Using the 2nd set of laces they provided, I was barely able to get my heel locked down using the loops because the laces are so short. And round laces don't stay tied well. The tongue doesn't stay in place - perhaps because I have a high arch so it scrunches down a bit as I walk.

I was very surprised these shoes were as comfy as the hype. Already shopping for second pair.

These shoes were super difficult to get on my foot. Once I finally squeezed into them, I realized I shouldn't have. They were very narrow and short. I did order the wide version.

I had a huge crush on these and ordered 2 pairs- even sized up and ordered wide but unfortunately it fits rather uncomfortably snug/tight compared to my other "wide" hoka shoes due to the garter-like material holding the tongue. I've thought about snipping them off but hey for the price ...I'd rather just get another Bondi.

My first pair. Got them in the mail today & as soon as I put them on - in love!!! I love the lace part. I think my favorite part. Don't have to worry about your shoes coming untied! True to size & very comfortable.

After 5 surgeries on my right foot, it is very difficult to find a comfortable shoe and one that fits the ever changing daily swelling and neuropathy of my foot. Buying online is not easy either, not being able to tactilely touch the shoe or physically put it on and check the fit, it's a hit or miss process. I received the shoes today. They fit perfectly and feel great. I'll just add to my collection of Hokas as they are the only shoe that fits and feels good.

I was really excited to grab my second pair of Hokas during Black Friday. My first pair has taken me through anything and everything for the past 5 years and the soles are still holding up really well, they just look a bit ratty now for the nicer casual occasions. For this pair, I wish I would've been able to compare the 9 to the 9.5 as I'm right around there depending on the shoe. I decided to go with the 9.5 / regular width, basic Transport.
First off the quality of the shoes feels excellent. The Oak/Alabaster color is true to pictures and looks great (reg laces included are the shoes' body color). I like that the outside is solid (vs breathable mesh)- something I didn't really catch beforehand. I think my toe hits at the appropriate length, any more and I'd worry about it being too tight.
The main question I have is in the heel area. Comparing my Hokas, the old pair's heel area has more of a curve - to cup your heel and keep it in place. That's what I was expecting. However, if you notice in the pictures, the heel area on these Hokas have more of a straight up and down build so there is some movement in my heel when moving. It's slight, but I am lowkey concerned it could shimmy socks down when walking. Could it be that it's due to buying 9.5 vs 9? Unfortunately i dont know.
The last thing im unsure about is the quick adjust stretchy "laces". It's difficult to get targeted support since it will basically end up equalizing pressure everywhere when tightened. The toe box remains unaffected and roomy, and tightening only partially affects the heel security. I'm debating whether to remove the stretchy lace and do the regular laces, instead, but it appears there's no way to remove the stretchy band without actually cutting it since it's one continuous piece. Ultimately I will be keeping the shoes as I think I can get past these minor issues and make it work, after all, I won't be using them for any extreme activities.

I was wearing crap shoes for so long it took my feet a few days to get used to these shoes. After that, my feet felt amazing while wearing these. I have back/ foot pain and this helps with both. Have been wearing these to my job as a dental assistant and have changed my work life. You can tell they will be good while hiking as well. amazing traction.

I also have the Hoka Bondi 9's and the Transports are so much more comfortable hands down. I am post surgical x2 for a fractured foot and ankle so good shoes are a must as I transition back to floor nursing. I just wish the black/black came in a wide!

I like the shoes, was disappointed that the color was not this deep in real life. It is a much lighter purple color than shown.

Felt a bit short when I first put it on but after some time it felt roomier and ready for the outdoors. After a few walks I am very pleased with this shoe - no foot pain!

I was able to walk 10,000 steps with the shoes right out of the box...no break in period required! All of my knee and hip pain is gone after wearing these amazing shoes for less than a week....coincidence? I think NOT! These are simply the best athletic shoes that I have ever worn. AMAZING!!!!

I've been a fan of various Hoka styles for a while. I have Bondi 7, Clifton 8, and Speed Goats 5 and 6, with the 5 being my very favorite (wish they would bring it back!). I wear a Wide width in all of them since the regular is slightly snug. I thought the Transport looked right up my alley, on paper anyway, since I'm a walker/hiker, not a runner. But these have such an odd fit. I have jokingly said that I have Barney Rubble feet. Basically just little blocks. First of all, my heel just slips in and out of these so easily while I walk, which would absolutely be a huge issue while on vacation somewhere. And I don't have narrow heels, so how does anyone wear these? And then the rest of the foot fits like the regular width and not the wide I ordered. So overall a very weird and unpleasant tightness everywhere but the heels. I wore them for a few hours while out running errands and I really disliked them before I even left the house, but I wanted to give them a fair shot! Thankfully Hoka has a nice return policy and I was able to send them back.
And while I'm here...Hey Hoka, why so little love for the wide width people? IF you offer a shoe in wide at all, the color choices are usually awful. And it gets even worse if I want waterproof! Come on now, it's 2025 and we need more options!

I purchased both the 7.5 wide and the 8 wide. My true size is 7.5 wide in other brands. I really liked the style of the Transport; however Hoka does not seem to make their shoes wide enough. I am thinking of trying the Bondi or Clifton that comes in Extra Wide but I am not a fan of the style”shoe rock”. The Transport had minimal “rock” which I also liked. I had to return both pairs.

These arrived quickly and were a good fit, but they are not slip ons or hands free, as the tongue slides back when I put them on. I'm having knee surgery soon so I need a truly hands free shoe.

I recently purchased a size 7W in black to try a different style and also because of the sale. They were long enough but very narrow for a wide. I normally wear Gavoita 7W which fit comfortably. This wide is not wide unless this pair was labeled wrong.

Love these with the exception of low arch support. Hoping some super feet inserts will fix that.
