Was looking for cushion, and a solid feel. Really like these shoes.

I normally wear a size 8, but recommend ordering a size up so I went with the 8.5. The 8.5 is much better fitting and feels comfortable especially since I switched out the insole. I look forward to the GoreTex feature since I do hike in the rain.

Might be the best challenger radiation yet! Been wearing the challenger for years, working, road/trail running, and at the gym and this one meets or exceeds all the ready in performance and comfort. 100% would recommend.

These shoes have been very comfortable and are holding up well. I use them for work as an ER nurse and for exercise. Would definitely buy them again.

I purchased the Challenger 7 GTX after seeing many Hoka's around the school. I put long hours on my feet and most of the shoes I own left my feet sore and tired. I went to a local store to try some on but I didnt care for the style or color. After checking on line I decided on the GTX and pulled the trigger. I received the shoe promptly and slid in my insoles and couldnt be happer. I can be on my feet all day long and they don't get as fatiged as they use too. Love the GTX with the Gortex fabric and have been looking at getting another pair of Hoka's to replace my hiking shoes.

The Challenger GTX is a very highly cushioned and attractive trail shoe. They are as cushioned as my Bondis! "Plush" in Hokaspeak. They do run short and narrow. I have worn a 12 wide in Bondis for many years. I sized up to 13 in the Challenger and they fit well width and length wise. They are my new travel shoe because they cover walking, running, light hiking and are waterproof. Saves packing space!!

Great walking show, as well as extremely good looking and on trend! I'm always attracted to new styles and color ways and this shoe checked all the boxes! Clearly HOKA's message is being well received by athletes as well as style conscious consumers. Keep up your good work! Mission accomplished!

I wanted to get some better golf shoes (comfort) but needed a good bottom with grip and traction along with being waterproof. The Challenger GTX were just what I needed. I play and walk about 3-4 rounds per week, often in the morning when there is dew on the grass. These shoes are jcomfortable and keep my feet dry. Problem solved.

Bought my second pair of Hoka's due to liking my first pair so well. Love these shoes. Comfortable and help with my lower back pain. Highly recommend this shoe company! Absolutely great shoes!

Hiking and trail running.

Love it .

Im a field guy and as such I find myself walking through and working a lot in the rain. The Winter of '22/23 had historical rain and snow fall for much of California. These shoes were the best purchase I could have made. The water resistant Gortex is a game changer versus wearing regular sneakers during rain events. It's not 100% water proof but it provides enough protection to keep my feet and socks dry walking through puddles and standing out in the rain for a bit. The best part about these shoes, which I haven't seen others mention, is that the Tongue (top part of shoe flush against the laces), is stationary, so I can slide into and out of the shoes without having to bend over and hold the tongue each time! Im constantly taking my shoes off and on and being able to just slide my feet in and still maintain a tight seal is such a huge flex. I've taken them to Mammoth and these shoes have good grip on snow, ice not so much, but again which sneaker does. The waterproofing though is clutch for using them around Ski Towns. The Heel Drop took me a few days to get used to as I've mostly worn flat shoes. The shoe, at least for me, runs slightly narrow, but nothing I couldn't get used to. A wide version would be nice. Here's to Hoka not discontinuing this line because they found themselves a lifetime customer!

Absolutely love these shoes, most comfortable ever ! So light they're like walking on air. Just make sure to order 1/2 size larger than what their fit chart calculates as they fit snug. They stretch slightly after wearing a bit.

These shoes are incredibly comfortable while being waterproof. These are the first pair of HOKA shoes I have owned and I am extremely impressed. I have been searching for a while for a quality waterproof running/walking shoe. The HOKA Challenger 7 GTX is far and away the cream of the crop. I found that they fit true to size. I used the extra eyelets to ensure a snug fit in the heel.

Ar very comfortable and durable shoe!

I use this shoe for mountain running. Sometimes running without a trail, mostly 4 wheeler trails and single tracks. I love the cushion of this and the Stinson though my gait is neutral so they fit my style. I had a pair of Clifton's that I liked though they weren't catered to my gait pattern and it prolonged my recovery time every now and again.

After wearing MBT for the past 20 years. No one could change my mind. My fist pair of changed my mind with a awesome felling of comfort all day wile on my feet. I can't wait to order my next pair HOKA'S.
