I've had these shoes for over a year now and I run 3 to 4 days per week, on the pavement and dirt trails. They provide extreme cushion and comfort. My only issue would be that they are not very water resistant, but I don't believe they're supposed to be. Don't run in puddles and you will love these shoes. Ordering my second pair right now: men's Hoka Challenger ATR 7 GTX size 10.5D US.

Bought these for a half marathon and that worked out great. Shoe is Gortex so I brought it with me to the Philippines where it is great for hiking and everyday use in the rainy season. Comfortable and durable. Very satisfied.

Love everything about these Challenger Atr GTX. I feel very comfortable from the day one. I like the nice light green color. Very impressive. This is my 3rd pair Hoka shoes that I am using and always feel comfortable with running walking and trail running. Thanks to HOKA. I love it

All the Hoka comfort and support without the Hoka splash. Love the clean look while still getting the footbed structure that Hoka is famous for. True to the Challenger design this is a great shoe that flys right under the radar.

So to start I'm not a runner and don't use HOKAs for running. I am a golfer and have a crazy large heel spur and the HOKA bondi 8 saved my life as I can now walk, golf and play pickleball. Now on to Challenger 7 GTX. I've played 4 rounds of golf with them one walking for 18 holes. 1. They are comfortable, Grippy, waterproof as advertised and look cool. M 2. Not as cushioned or comfortable as Bondi 8 (little narrower, little stiffer) and not as wide a base as Bondi 8. The base part is not an issue really for me. 3. They are quite a bit lighter than pictured (I bought the green). I find HOKA photography on their site definitely skews colors. I like the actual color and probably would've liked the darker as pictured.

I had foot surgeries when I was eleven so a good stable shoe has been a must for me. I found Hoka shoes two years ago and love them. I have six pair of sneakers and a pair of hikers and love the comfort and stability. I never have foot pain and the stability feels wonderful. Thanks Hoka..!!!

I purchased this shoe for a trip that will involve a lot of walking. A coworker turned me on to the Hoka Brand and I love em. I actually color coordinate your shoes with all my sport teams polos and golf polo shirts. I also play golf in the shoe. The styles, compfort, and support has me replacing a lot of my footwear from other brands. BTW: Allow multiple choices on your "Best for" selection.... This shoe is great for so many categories!

I love my new Challenger 7s. They are my 2nd pair of Hoka and they fit perfectly right out of the box. Fitment of these shoes is extremely consistent. Hoka are REALLY durable! I bought a pair of Stinson over a year ago to use while I give cave tours at The Caverns in Pelham, TN. I was wearing light hiking boots and some nights after a full day of giving tours, the bottom of my feet hurt so bad that I couldn't get to sleep. I decided to try the Hoka Stinson, and I swear to God my feet never hurt again. Back to durability. I wear the Hoka Stinson in a cave with rock and gravel paths, often off camber and sometimes slippery. Not only that, I am a teacher and have been wearing the SAME pair of Hoka for over a year, EVERY DAY. I'll andhis.....I'm also 280 pounds. These darn shoes don't have a THING wrong with them besides the treads looking beat-up. I'm totally sold on Hoka, and know my Challenger 7s will hold up too, but they are dedicated to running (plodding)

Got these for my trip to Ireland and they were awesome. They're snugger in the toe area than my Bondis (more like my Clifton's) and I feared discomfort but it wasn't there. Solid on loose rocky terrain. Repelled what little water I encountered. Comfortable all day long. A traveler from the States wearing Bondis asked me about them on the streets of Dingle and I gave him the thumbs up.

Great fit right out of the box. A few outings in wet weather and no wet feet!

I use these for both hiking and running. They give good damping and feel very comfortable.

The shoe is so light and very comfy.

This is my first HOKA and no regret for this. A perfect shoes for trail walking!

My feet feel good at the end if the day. I seem faster stride by stride. I unintentionally sprayed them with waterholes at work, they're waterproof for sure! No such thing as break'um in (perfect from jump).

Have had many Hoka trail walking/running shoes. These by far are the most comfortable. Feet stay dry when walking in heavy morning dew. Going to order another pair while I can!

I usually wear a women's size 10, but the women's Challenger GTX were a bit too short and narrow for me. So I ordered the men's size 9 and the fit is perfect. I have worn them for a few weeks now and in a lot of rain and deep wet grass. They have kept my feet dry and the cushion is great.

These were a bit tight when I first got them. Then I realized my socks were too thick. I tried them with less thick socks and they ate really nice. They fit really well around the ankle and just like a glove.

I needed a show to umpire slow pitch softball. Shoes have to be all black. I'm a huge fan of Hoka so figured I would give it a try. I'm so glad I did, I'm extremely happy.

Love the weight of the shoe. The support is awesome. Last night during a rain storm my feet stayed dry!
