Shoes are allegedly designed to last in an acceptable state for under 4-months. Do not buy.
Shoes looked and felt great. Purchased February 2024. Worn probably every other day, nothing too hard or wild. Had to be warrantied in October 2024 due to the fabric on the inside of the heels being destroyed. The replacement shoes' heels are now equally destroyed after less than 3 months of light winter wear. Warranty declined due to "NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR." Awful decision on the warranty and an outward statement from the company that they are designed to last less than 4 months.
Find a brand that is built to last.

I tried this on and was very disappointed. I have had trouble with last few Hoka Gore-tex shoes. Last year I tried the Speedgoat GTX and had to return them because they hurt my feet. So far the comfort on a pair of the newly designed Bondi 9 Wide in size 10.5 have been very comfortable. So maybe I need a wider shoe now. The toe box in these Challenger 7 GTX shoes were way too tight and felt constricting and uncomfortable immediately.

I wonder if I got a defective pair. No cushion, which is shocking for a Hoka. I thought that was the core brand ethos. Thinking of throwing them away.

I purchased this shoe for a trip to Glacier National Park. I usually trail run with the non GTX Challenger 7s, and I've been happy with them. However, the GTX version fell apart on me on the first day of the trip. The treads around the toe area started to peel away from the sole. The right foot treads started falling off the first day and the left foot treads started falling off the second day.

First time Hoka buyer of this model in Men's and one for Woman's for my girlfriend. I've worn New Balance for 20+ years and my GF has worn Brooks for 10+ years. We decided to try this model on to see what the hype was all about. Initially, we loved them instantly! I occasionally wear them to work in a medical setting and my GF wore it daily while bartending. We both liked the fit, color we chose, being Goretex and being comfortable. After 10 months, my Challenger 7 GTX started to tear on top of the shoe, in the crease where I flex my toes. Her's started to do the same in 5 months plus her treaded soles started to come apart!! We haven't even worn them in a rugged trail. It's upsetting because we hoped it would last longer. I reached out to Customer support and we are returning them for a refund and and exchange for my GF. Crossing our fingers that her exchange of the same shoe will be a better experience. The did not have mine in stock anymore. This review would not allow me to post any photos I took to show you how they aren't holding up as they should. I really liked the pair I had too.

These developed creases on top after a few days. After 6 months holes started to develop at the edge of the crease. They are no longer waterproof.

Cost too much better off getting a couple of cheaper pairs of Saucony.

I was sent a used pair of Hoka Bondi 8s. Dirt on them and the treads were worn. Unbelievable.

I'm sure it's a great product, but I had to return it because it's not available in wide sizes. Too bad.

I was told by the app that the size I got would fit me according to my past purchases. I need wide and they weren't offered.

This might not be the ideal shoe for someone that's not fit. I'm 250 lbs took them for a couple of jogs and my legs feel horrible. Got cramps during my jog and had to stop and walk the whole way.
