Purchased these for running after my knees began to bother me, following 30 plus years running.

I've been jogging with Cliftons since the Clifton 4, and always been happy with them. This time, when I needed new shoes, I read all the reviews that said the Bondi 8 was even more cushioned than the Clifton, so I decided to try the Bondi. But it wasn't even close to the cushioning of my worn out Clifton 8, so I returned it and bought the Clifton 9, which I'm very happy with.

I love the Clifton 9 so much that I have bought 3 pair. The fit and comfort are perfect for me. I have to add an insert to add the extra arch support that I need, however, I have to do that with all shoes. I even have custom arch supports that I use for "cute shoes" that have no arch support. I have many pairs of Hoka shoes, they are my favorite, and the Clifton 9 is by far my favorite!! They arrive in 24 to 48 hrs, depending on what time of day I order.

I had heel replacement surgery 7 years ago, all rods and pins in them and the ankles on both feet, and these shoes are exactly what I've been looking for over the years. Plenty of cushion in the heel and goo buoyancy in the soles. 10 of 10 would recommend

I am on my feet all day for my job. I was having lower back pains when I stood and walked. The Clifton 9 took the pain from my lower back. I use the Clifton 9's for long walking and running. They are the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn.

This is my first pair of Hoka's and so far, I'm super impressed by their Clifton 9 product line. The sizing recommendations on the website were spot on. The fit is perfect. I've ran a 4.2 mile race in them two days after receiving the pair and had zero issues. They support my foot and foot fall perfectly. The responsiveness is so much nicer than the Nike's I have worn. And over all comfort is excellent. I highly recommend.

The shoes are great for the hills near my house. I am a light day hiker and found that the unique design is great for hills. The size was right for overall length (12) but the width felt off. I got extra wide but it really didn't feel like it fully. Just slightly compressing.
The shoe laces are okay but not wonderful like the rest of the shoe.
