I started running at age 50 and couldn't have done it without my new Hoka's!! They are super comfortable, love the colors, and running feels great!!

Men’s size 13 wide is a good fit! Shoes are
light weight with a soft plush cushion, excellent for walking, running, the gym and everyday wear!! The Clifton 9 Hoka is
nice looking athletic shoe, I receive lots of compliments! I have purchased several products from Zappos because they offer quality products at reasonable prices, have a liberal return policy, free shipping, a point reward system and fantastic customer service!

They're more stiff than Clifton 8's top to bottom but still a solid shoe with the 9's one I could definitely do everything from a slow pace to a faster pace but they're not as plush but on the 8's they're almost to soft to run fast in but definitely my go to for when I'm just doing long distance easy runs.

Love the feel and comfort of the Clifton. Just purchased my third pair over the past year and a half my only disappointment with them is that the inside of the heels on both shoes wear abnormal really fast. It may just be my stride or walk. I average 2-4 miles per day on them and the same heal wear location has occurred on 2 previous pair. That being said, I still love the feel of the Hoka Clifton.

Cushioning very different than Brooks. Not bad, just different. Having to get used to.

The shoe is very comfortable as always. It actually feels a little firmer than when I first broke in my Clifton 8's, which actually gives me better support. The outer netting of the shoe is completely see-through and appears rather cheap considering the quality and price of these shoes. Comfort = 5 stars, Outer Design = 3 stars for a total of 4 stars. I'll keep buying Hoka's, but I'd like to see more attention paid to the outer design.

The shoes fit well but are too cushioned for my needs. The shoes felt bouncy. I am not a runner but did not find the shoes suitable for casual wear.

VERY lightweight shoe (which I like) but the heel drop surprised me when compared to the outside appearance. My 2 year old SAS shoes have more heel lift than these new Hoka's. I also wonder if the reduced shoe weight comes at the expense of reduced sole foam density which will reduce the life of the shoe? I decided to return mine for the above reasons.

Overall a decent shoe but not very durable and after about a month, I began to get knee pain from the shoe adjusting my step. When I stopped wearing them the pain resolved. Thought it was a fluke so I went back to them and the knee pain returned. I don't recommend this shoe based on this finding and also can't justify a $150 price tag for a causal sneaker that lasts only a few months with normal use. Hoka, you can do better!

This shoe is so overrated! Clunky and hard to fit. Also very hot. The heel is too soft which renders the shoe too soft in the heel for me!!!

Have had 3 pairs of Clifton 8's which were great and found that the 9's seem a bit narrower in the toe box (even though they actually look wider). Rubs against my little toe. Walk ~4 miles a day x 7 so it became an issue pretty fast after the first month. Will probably try a different brand. A shame as I really like Hoka shoes.

Probably won't bother most runners, but I am used to a wider toe box. On my second run of six miles I could feel my toes rubbing the sides of the toe box. Definitely would cause problems on a 10 miler. I have a narrow foot and always run in wide toe box shoes (mainly Altra). Good for walking and casual and I won't be running in them again.

The Clifton has always been a well-cushioned training shoe. Very comfortable but runs hot! Not a very breathable upper. The knit outer has got to go. Another small point is the outside of my big toe has always rubbed against the shoe. I think Hoka could make the shoe just a tiny bit wider. Going to a wide size or going up a half size does not work for me. The fit just doesn't feel good.

Bought these for walking about the neighborhood and had put about 10-12 miles on them before noticing the unusual heavy wear on both heels. They are super comfortable so I'll most likely keep them for other purposes, but am still on the search for a good pair of walking shoes that will hold up.

My first pair of Hoka running shoes were super comfortable and great for running but a hold appeared at the back where my heel slides in and out. This hole got bigger and the piece of plastic pinched my heel while I ran. I like the comfort at the bottom so I bought a new pair to try it again. But if it happens again this will be my last pair

The Clifton run narrow. Even when you go wider, they're still too narrow.

Have always used Brooks products, gave Hoka a shot. In the end, if I am running/walking over 5 miles i will go with Brooks. Less than 5, Hoka.

WHY? WHY? WHY? WHY CHANGE CLIFTON PERFECTION?
Been a Clifton serious walker for years - loved the cushioning, fit and trim lines. The Clifton 9 is more like the Bondi - Stiff, hard, bulky, clodhopper! Not at all like the previous Cliftons? Bring back the real Clifton of yore!
I'd also recommend:
Until now, never bought anything but HOKA Cliftons. Bought the Bondi but NO!

I bought a pair of the Clifton 9s back in May to use for work in the restaurant industry because of the comfort.last month I had to replace them because the bottoms have worn down so quickly. I guess they were ment for teenagers to wear for style not active wear. I bought the first pair from Hawley Lane in Shelton CT because they were highly recommended for the restaurant by the sales associate. I'll see what happens in a few months. As far as I'm far as I'm concerned, for four months of wear ,I can certainly find a cheaper brand. Again great comfort and I love the comments I get on them they are certainly a well recognized brand. Thanks

This was my 6th or maybe 7th pair of Hoka's. I'm a big fan of the Clifton trail shoe (I've owned 3 pair) so I tried the street shoe. At first I loved these but with in 3 months not only had the tread worn away but the the sides of the shoes were blown out to the point of not even being able to wear them anymore. Super bummed. Haven't had this happen with any other Hoka shoes.

The Grey part of the bottom of the shoes have already peeled off after only a week. Must have been bad glue or something . Will be contacting customer service. So for now I can only rate the shoe 1 star.
