As always I ordered a half size down from normal shoe size. Y husband has raved about how well they feel on his feet. The last pair I bought him I got the medium width and his foot spilled off the sides of the shoe and they just didn’t feel good nor did they look good!

As with all Hokas I ordered a half size down than normal size and because my husbands foot is so wide I went ahead and got the wide because the last pair I bought was medium width and his foot spilled over the side of the shoe! But he has just raced about how well these feel on his feet and how he is glad he listened to me about the sizing!

I had my feet profiled at a local running shoe store and, of the few brands and models presented as best fits, the Hoka Clifton has become my go to running shoe. Ultimately, everyone's feet are different and I'd recommend that if you plan on putting in a good amount of miles then you should seek guidance based upon your own feet and where you apply pressure in stride. Since I've started wearing the Cliftons, at the right width for me which was EE, I have seen significant improvement in comfort and avoidance of things like blisters. It has the right amount of "spring" to it where it is not so much that it artificially helps propel you along but provides comfort when running on hard surfaces. I typically always run on roads/sidewalk, typically for at least 6.5 to 8 miles per run (although it is not uncommon to go into the 10 to 18 mile range or more) and put in over 100 miles per month. I've noticed that the shoes generally hold up well, too, into the 350 to 400 mile range before needing replacement which is pretty good considering the surfaces that I run on. All in all, the Hoka Clifton is an excellent running shoe and I would highly recommend it. But, I would even more highly recommend that if you are going to get serious with running that you do yourself a favor and really research it. The right shoe is crucial to avoid injury. For someone starting running, an injury becomes a deterrent to wanting to do more of it and the shame of it is that it often (not always) is just poor footwear that is the cause.

The Clifton 9 (C9) shoe is noticeably better than the prior Clifton 8 which also was a good shoe. The C9 shoe feels lighter, fits better, and feels less clunky than the C8 shoe. I wear a wide (2E) shoe so I'm glad the C9 shoe was available in both regular and wide widths. It can be frustrating when a new Hoka shoe is released that I like, but the style/color I like is not made available in a wide width.

I made a mistake. I thought a D would work on my wide feet, but it did not. I will re-order wider widths if possible. The shoe is lightweight and would have worked for my walking, had I known that a D was way too narrow.

Better in my opinion than the Bondi as the Bondi has too much padding- fits true to size

Finally a true wide shoe from Hoka. I have wanted to try these since they were introduced. The uppers, quality of material etc are all excellent. There's a tad too much stack height for me. They did not disappoint EXCEPT for durability, the sole wears out too fast for a $150 dollar. If you buy multiple pairs and rotate I'm certain you'll be happy!

Purchased these as a gift for my husband, and he loved the sneakers. Makes his runs a bit more supported. He loved the color as well.

Probably the most comfortable athletic shoe I have ever owned. I really didn't intend to spend as much as I did but was led to believe they'd be worth it and I feel like they are.

Exceptional mid-foot cushion with enough responsiveness to take it a variety of paces. Holds up well to long distances (20+miles). True marathon training workhorse. Favorite shoe in my rotation.

Bought these for my husband to wear to work because he was complaining his feet hurt. He said they are so comfortable and he wishes he would have gotten them sooner.

Bought these for my 19 yr old grandson. He plays college baseball, works out every day. He likes white for everyday wear for classes. I told him I would exchange them if he decided he wanted another brand. He really liked them and said they are soooo comfortable.

First time I’ve order Hoka brand shoes and feels like I’m walking on pillows. I’ve had these almost a month and I really like them and very good support and the fit is perfect

Bought my first pair of Hoka's. Was so impressed, I took my wife down to local store and got her a pair. Now in the process of getting a pair for my 95 year old mother.

This past year I have seen my fair share of doctors and nurses. What I noticed that a lot of them had in common was they were wearing Hokas. Curiosity finally got the best of me. I wear a size 15 and found most retailers don't carry my size. No such thing at Hoka. They carry my size in lots of designs. My surprise was how great they make my feet feel. It's like walking on pillows. Words cannot adequately explain how great they wear and feel. This is now my go to brand.

I studied the many well-described selections and chose the Clifton 9. It was a perfect and very comfortable choice for my senior activities. It is lightweight but still sturdy and nice looking. I also have the Bondi shoe but it is a bit heavy in leather for summer, so glad to now experience the Clifton 9.

My running days are long behind me, but until recently I had been walking 8-10 miles a day. I discovered Hokas about 6 years ago and could count on getting 600 comfortable miles per pair. Now down to 2 miles of walking a day and looking at a third ankle surgery that will end my walking, my Ortho doc said,"Wear Hokas all the time; their rocker design will take the pressure off your ankle and defer surgery." It didn't take much convincing. I had owned several generations of Cliftons, but was persuaded to try Biondis for general wear comfort and stability. Unfortunately, their arches were not compatible for me and I returned them and bought the newest version of Cliftons available, which I just love. The point is this: buying directly from Hoka with a 60 day no questions asked, free shipping, and no penalty return policy and free shipping made the swap seamless. Thank you. And my feet thank you too!
