This is my 2rd pair of Clifton 9's and for me, they are my favorites. I walk mostly and have started running the occasional 5k and these are by far my favorite shoe. Also great for long days at the theme parks or wherever you plan to do a lot of walking.

My husband says great shoe he feels even more cushion than in previous pair. Great color options for men. He's been wearing Clifton 9's and is very happy with them. He has sensitive feet and uses special inserts in all of his footwear and these shoes work great with the inserts. He needs new walking shoes when cushions start to wear down but these hold up much better than other brands he buys. He gets wide width which are a great fit for him

Hoka are great for people who is on their feet all day long, standing up for long periods of times.
I'd also recommend:

This is the single greatest shoe to ever grace the earth. Upon entry of the smooth and seemless parameters of the Clifton 9 I hear my feet say, "We're home".

I'm on my feet about 10 hours a day at work and these shoes have made my back, knees, and feet feel like clouds. I love them and will buy them again and again!!!

Snug on my foot. Very supportive. Laces up. Beautifully goes on easily. I can walk all day. I was in Rome and Greece this summer and walked over 20,000 steps a day and my feet never bothered me at all, which for me is unusual. This is a great shoe

3rd time buying these shoes for my husband. He wears a 14-15 and has knee and back issues, so sometimes it’s difficult to find a shoe in his size that is comfortable. Not with these! We will repurchase again and again.

I've gone through 3 or 4 pairs now over the years and nothing comes close to HOKA. Most comfortable shoe on the market. Best shoe for the gym on a walk or a hike.

Omg, these are even more comfortable than the Clifton 7s, which were my favorite shoes of all time. Lightweight, and have more energy return than the 7s also. They're literally the best of both. I never had an Clifton 8s to compare these to, as I'd bought multiple pairs of those that lasted me through the next three years. These are amazing. They seem a little fuller in the upper material, but my high instep only appreciates that more. I can actually snug up these shoes.
I'd also recommend:
Used to be a big Saucony fan but they just don't fit me right anymore, but still like their build
