The size and fit feel very nice. I really like the aesthetics of the shoe. Even though they have a lot of arch support, the shoes don't look clunky.

They were soooo comfortable but I had to send them back because they made a flip flopping sound when you walked. The material at the top of the toes flexes and then pops back into shape as you walk. I couldn't get past the noise.

The Transport with Vibram sole is an excellent everyday trainer. I personally enjoyed breaking in the shoe, which initially felt narrow, but after a couple of easy runs the shoe relaxed. The comfort is excellent and the rocker style keeps me going effortlessly.

Here's the deal: I like to travel light, but finding the right pair of shoes that can handle everything I need has always been a challenge. My focus was on finding a pair of shoes that could handle intensive all-day walking, with the added capability for hiking and light running. After a lot of research, I decided to give the Hoka Transports a try for a two-month trip to Australiamy first ever pair of Hokas! Safe to say, I was impressed!
I'll be honestinitially, I wasn't thrilled. These shoes had a long break-in period that made me question my choice. But once that period passed, OMG, the comfort was unreal. They were perfect for all-day walking, with fantastic traction that handled both city sidewalks and day hikes with ease. Plus, they look pretty great. I mostly wore shorts on my trip, but the all-gray color worked well with joggers or black jeans, offering a subtle look for still being activewear. These days, I am more for comfort anyway.
A few things to note, both good and bad: These aren't marketed as water-resistant (though there is a GTX version), and I found that even in light rain, my feet got a bit damp. They also take a while to dry, so keep that in mind if you're traveling with just one pair. That said, the performance of these shoes completely sold me on the Hoka brand. I ran a spontaneous half-marathon in them on my trip! Remember, they're not designed for running, but they far outperformed my actual running shoes I use when not traveling.

If you are looking for a wide shoe, keep looking! Very narrow, I have the Gaviota's in wide, they are great. Was excited to see a new wide shoe with a little tamer color, but, disappointed.

I typically don't write reviews, but my recent experience with Hoka compels me to share. In October 2024, I purchased the Hoka Transports. Within a week, they began to emit a squeaking noise reminiscent of children's squeaky shoes. After researching and consulting Hoka Support, I learned that moisture between the insole and the shoe's interior was the likely culprita design flaw others have also reported.
As someone active outdoors, it's natural for my feet to sweat, leading to this moisture buildup. I attempted recommended remedies, such as applying baby powder and thoroughly drying the shoes. While these solutions provided temporary relief, the squeaking inevitably returned, sometimes even louder.
Believing this to be a defect rather than normal wear and tear, I initiated a warranty claim after three months. However, Hoka returned the shoes, stating the issue was due to wear and tear and thus not covered under warranty. When I sought further clarification, a representative mentioned that their assessment might have been purely visual and that presenting video evidence wouldn't alter their decision.
Hoka's warranty covers footwear for one year against defective materials and workmanship, excluding normal wear and tear. Given that my issue arose within this period and was due to a design flaw, I expected better support.
In conclusion, I'm disappointed with how Hoka handled this warranty process. This experience has led me to consider exploring other premium footwear brands that stand firmly behind their products.

The shoes are tight and narrow in the toe box. I hope they break in but they are tight and uncomfortable right now. Hard to get on and off.

Really surprised by this shoe so far. Out of the box it's stiff. But once you wear it for a few days, these things come alive. I wear these for work as a service tech, so I walk a lot and I am even up and down ladders and so far no fatigue. This is the shoe I was hoping it would be. Also, fit is great, true to size and I personally love the color way I got. Zero complaints. Well done Hoka. I will 100% purchase this shoe again.

I was excited that these finally came in wide sizes given that the Clifton 9 wides are the only sneakers I am really comfortable wearing. Right off the bat they did not look wide enough. I decided to give them a go but after 30 minutes heel pain and the tightness of the toe box was noticeable. Needless to say I am returning these.

Had to send back two pair with black soles because D width was only "wide" width available with black soles and is not as wide as my son needed. Ended up with another transport model which did have the right width but had white soles which fit well but--given my son's line of work -- which will soil.

Both my husband and I have work Hoka running shoes and when my husband saw these shoes, asked for them for Christmas as his everyday shoes. He loved the look and really wanted to like them, but they were way too narrow. They fit nothing like the running shoes and unfortunately are not available in sides so we will have to return them.

Absolutely love my Bondi and Clifton's. However, these transports have issues. Squeaking right shoe and something broke in the sole. Most annoying pair of shoes I've ever bought by far. I see other reviews saying the same thing so I'm assuming this is a known issue and why it was $50 off.

I am in love with these all black Transports. They are snug and deliver stable footing for walks, easy hikes and I am excited to continue wearing them for most of my outdoor activity.

The material is a little different kind. They are actually warmer than regular Hoka. I personally don't wear socks. I learned playing in hockey in Canada, socks make your feet sweat and that makes your feet cold. My Hokas look slick and reflect light . They are also real cushiony . My new favorites.

Good shoe except the seam between the tongue and upper toe box is uncomfortable against foot and toes - likely due to the stiffness of the Cordura fabric. This interface could be better padded.

Wanted to like these, but the edge of the footbed dug into my inside instep on the right shoe. Weird. Left shoe was good. Arch support is minimal, but inserts are removable. Tried several inserts with more arch support that I wear in other shoes and just could get a good fit on the right shoe with that bad footbed thing.

As with all of my other 4 pair of Hokas, these Transports fit beautifully. Very comfortable. Perfect for walking/hiking or even just casual wear. I had to order a half size larger.
