Info for my wide calf ladies. My calf is about 16-16.5 in and these fit really well in the calf. Not much extra room, but I plan to wear these with skirts and dresses. I imagine there's enough room to comfortably fit some skinny jeans if wanted. I'm a solid size 8.5 for boots and sneakers, and I'd say it's true to size. They're a bit more narrow than expected around the forefoot, but they've loosened up well. The shaft of the boots are pretty tall. I'm 5'5" with a 29in inseam and they hit a few inches below the back of my knee. It's not a problem when I sit, but someone with shorter legs may find it uncomfortable.

Love the square toe--more comfortable than an almond. Only concern is that the zippers seem to catch in different places, e.g., where strap details attach. I really had to work getting the zippers up and down.

I've been avoiding heels, but these feel so comfortable. The feel like great quality leather. I know the lining is man made, but I'm counting on them breaking in since the upper is leather.

These are gorgeous boots. I just wish my calves weren't quite so big. The standard shaft is too narrow while the wide calf is usually too big.

These boots are beautiful and I love them. I almost did not order due to reviewers having issues with the zipper. I have had boots with that problem and it is upsetting. I kept going back to look at them and finally decided to try them. I know if I found the zipper to be a problem Zappos return policy is awesome. For what it’s worth my pair is perfect. If you love them try them is my advice.

Classy, stylish, comfortable boots, good for winter wear. I have only worn them once so far. At first I felt like the boot was uncomfortable / stiff at the ball of my foot despite the wide box toe. But after wearing them for an hour or so, this dissipated. I love that my toes don’t get squished in the front. While they are not ultra comfortable, they are not uncomfortable, so that’s why I gave four stars on comfort. The heel is thick and stylish and has treads so it is sturdy enough to walk through snow. I would consider my calf to be of regular with, and they zipped up just fine without being overly tight or have an extra room in the back. The only thing I wish they had was some sort of warm lining against the cold.

These boots are made so well - leather uppers instead of man made material that crack. Comfortable too.
