I hike in the mountains daily. These shoes are great. Comfortable and good traction on scree and good protection on rocks. These are the best barefoot shoes I've owned.

Honestly a lot of ppl had negative things to say and maybe that's true compared to the previous models but these are awesome. I have several pairs of Merrells and these are my favorite. Minimal, breathable, just enough padding. I wear them daily because they allow my feet to breathe. They also feel great. I bought a black pair for work. I haven't ran in them but they could definitely do that on some trails. I use the MTL Skyfire 2s for trail running. Great for gym. I give them 5/5.

These shoes are great! I wear them almost all the time. I purchased a pair of all black to give me the most versatility for night and day for informal informal. For the last 30 years I have had Merrill and I always keep going back to them.

I've had 6 of the 7 generations of TGs, as well as a few of the Vapor Gloves. If you've never had a minimalist shoe, they are fantastic, but definitely go with Trail before Vapor. This is also good advice to anyone running on harsh trails or loose rocks. These TGs have a lot of absorption, considering the sole thickness. Also, they tell you that the shoes run large, but I would only size up if you have wide feet! If you have normal to narrow feet, I'd recommend sticking to size and knowing that they should feel a bit "sock-like" without generating any significant toe friction. I just started using them so I cannot comment on the quality. I can say that I've used many categories of Merrell shoes and boots, and with the exception of one single pair of TGs (gen3, I believe), the build quality has been solid.

Fabulous shoes. I get a 15 in Vapor Glove 6 and ordered a 15 in these (Trail Glove 7) - but are a full size longer. I am returning and ordering a 14.

The Trail Glove 7 is the perfect hiking shoe for warm weather outings on any terrain. Just hiked Diamond Head Summit Trail in Honolulu, Hi. Path was a mix of pavement, dirt and stone steps. Really pleased with the cushion feel and the traction even on the damp surface of a pop up shower. Love the lighter weight.

Spent a lot of time in these shoes. Seriously different and take getting used to. They feel completely different than any of my other shoes. These shoes work different muscles and you don't want to spend too much time in them without breaking in your feet and legs. I walked over 5 miles once I got used to them with no issues. You can really "feel" the terrain under your feet and I can't wait to go scaling some rocks on a hike!

These are the first pair of shoes that allow me to feel my natural foot and be able to walk on pavement without pain. Makes my feet and back happy. Just like my moccasins I wear indoors.

Very comfortable shoes! I have owned several pairs of vapor and trail glove shoes and these are my favorites so far. I've only put 13 miles in them and nothing is falling apart. I use these more for road/pavement running and they grip pretty well on dry surfaces. They appear to be well made and the lacing is really good and supportive. I wish I could get these in a 12.5, but the 13 fits well. I'm very impressed with them!

Trail Glove 7 is my first pair of Merrell's and I will be purchasing again. I use them primarily as disc golf shoes for traversing off-trail through the terrain when I shank a throw/putt. I've only taken them out a handful of times so far but am already impressed with their durability, breathability, and responsiveness. This is my first pair of shoes within the "barefoot" family and with the little experience I have now would say that are a great introduction. Of note, I'm a size 9 in men's and initially ordered a 9 & 9.5 just in case, as I read that they run smallbut had to exchange for a size 8.5 - definitely seemed to run big on me (and even this size is SLIGHTLY too big - but happy enough to make them work!).

Excellent shoe. Instant feelgood fit. Well named as glove. Time will tell as far as wear is concerned. No problems after 7.5 mile hike with 2,000 climbing.

Occasionally you put on brand new shoes and they fit great from that very first try on. That was the case with Trail Glove 7. Love the right amount of support while maintaining the barefoot feel and ground connectivity. I wear other barefoot brands and Merrill's Trail Glove 7s are awesome. Flexible, secure, grippy, love them.

Great shoe! Merrell and Vibrant collaboration that is sure to please your feet. Runs a little big so get at least a half size below your normal size.

Comfortable minimalist sneaker that's fits true to size. Although, a minimalist sneaker I feel it gives more support than other minimalist sneakers. Great for every day wear.

I love these shoes and the you all have moved it more towards a true eco-friendly product, keep on going. I think they are comfortable just like the other previous generations with a bit more cushion.

Great shoe. I went with the trail gloves instead of the vapor gloves because my friends said the vapor has a lot of ground feel in terms of acorns, rocks, stuff like that. They fit great and I wear them running, and in the office.

These are great running shoes for someone transitioning out of 10+ years running in Vibram FiveFingers. Due to continual achilles pain/issues in the FiveFingers, these are a nice change of pace, offering similar barefoot feel/freedom as the FiveFingers, while adding substantial arch support to alleviate the achilles issues.
