The actual shoe itself gives you a tad more height hence the name Boost (I presume). I'm a size 11 but the shoe needed more width and a higher instep...So I exchanged for the 11.5 which answered my problems with the 11. There feels to be a little space at the rear of the shoe behind the where the achilles tendon rests but with the laces tied firm no problem. Will be wearing these everyday.
