I have been using the "wicked good" boot type slipper for over 30 years. For some reason, the style has changed. Instead of a dip in the side of the boot, it is high across - not as comfortable. I found that the sole was not as thick as in the past and the quality of the shearling not as dense. I was very disappointed with the drop in quality and returned the slippers. This is the first time I have ever been disappointed in any product I have purchased from L.L. Bean.

I was disappointed with these slippers. I was replacing a pair of the same slipper that I had for years. It looked like they used the absolute minimum material to make the new ones. The sole has very little fleece and they are no way as comfortable as the old ones were. I never thought LLBean would skimp on one of their most popular items. Long time customer. Over 50 years.

I like the outward design of these slippers, but I am disappointed in how narrow the sole is. My foot literally falls off the bottom inside sole and sprawls into and up the side of the slippers. That makes them awkward to walk in and a little uncomfortable. It's unfortunate as I really like how they wrap around my foot keeping my heel and ankles warm.

I don't usually write reviews, but felt compelled to express my disappointment with a usually solid and well built product. I've been buying these slippers for many, many year; in fact, my entire family of 5 wear them. I wear them so much during the winter that I'm used to blasting thru the laces around the toes by the end of the season. They're so very snuggly and comfortable and keep my feet warm. This year, however, there was a hole after just 4 hours!!! I've returned them and requested another pair in the hopes this was a small production "oops", but having to go another couple of weeks with cold toes is not only disappointing, but not what I've come to expect from LLBean over the 25 years I've been a customer.

I have been wearing these slippers for years. My old ones (my 3rd pair) are worn out and it was time to replace them. Was disappointed to find the style changed but ordered them anyway. When they arrived, the size does not run the same as the original, the slipper falls lower on the anke and the cutout in the front makes it seem even lower. They run smaller so the size 9 I have always worn did not fit in length or width. Much prefered the old ones. Returned these the day after they arrived. If you are a lover of the old originals...pass on these. Nothing like them with the exception of the fuzzy inside. Very disappointed.

I am disappointed about the thin fleece and there are visible bald spots. I was hoping it was as good as described by other reviewer. I am disappointed at the quality of the material.

I usually like LL Bean products and had so much confidence in these slippers that I had been waiting since December (it is now April) for them to arrive. Once they did, I was very disappointed. First, there was a spot of a hard-tacky substance on the shearling inside of the slipper that was hard and very scratchy. Second, the fit of the slippers forced my foot to walk on the outside seam of the sole, which was awkward and uncomfortable. Finally the slippers were much thinner than comparable slippers I had had in the past. Overall, these slippers were not comfortable and did not appear to meet a standard of quality that you would expect for $50 or from LL Bean. I returned them this morning.

I have a pair of WG slippers I purchased about 3 or 4 years ago. I completely wore them out, and ordered these as a replacement. Unfortunately, the quality is not the same! When comparing the 2 slippers, my older ones were softer, more "real" shearling, the new ones were synthetic and cheesy. I just could not keep them, I sent them back. I am on the hunt for the "original" wicked good slippers. Hopefully LL Bean can find them, and bring them back for me!! I gave them 2 stars, because I guess they would beat a blank, but that's about it!

I have been buying Bean's Wicked Good Slippers for over 18 years. I have an old pair that will make through the end of this winter and wanted to replace them for next winter. Very dissappointed in the quality, slight changes in style and small fit. These high slippers did not cover my ankle, felt smaller despite same size and just not as plush as my old ones. I will wait until next winter to purchase a new pair. Hoefully, the old styling and quality of shearling will return!

These slippers look great and are nice and warm but I had to return them since my ankles were sore after wearing them around the house for only a few minutes. I have bad ankles but was surprised by this. I guess the soles are not as solid as my feet want them to be.

I love LL Bean, but I didn't find these slippers very warm or comfortable. The fur inside is on the scratchy side. I had to wear socks with the slippers until I got used to it. I have cold feet and was really looking for a pair of slippers to keep my feet warm. These don't do the job.

I do have wide feet but usually slippers will work in medium width. After wearing these for over a week they are still not very comfortable. They are warm and cozy but I doubt I will be able to wear them much.

These are not as wicked good as advertised. The right slipper lining bunches up under my toes and is very uncomfortable. The left slipper is fine. They are very warm, but I can't wear them because the right one makes my foot hurt, it is very annoying. I have problems with my feet as it is, I don't need footwear that enhances the problem.

I'm returning this - disappointed that you are no longer carrying the slipper I've been ordering every few years for MANY MANY years. This one is too open at the top of the ankle, letting cold air in (the other slipper is closed and like a little boot), and too pointy at the toe. I think you used to carry both of these styles, please bring back the other one.

stitching split on back seam within 2 weeks of infrequent wear. product is very nice, comfortable and warm, but stitching is too tight and cuts through the material increasing probability of early deterioration. Of course LLBean immediatly provided a replacement, which has (less than 1 week) not started to split.

I've worn these sheepskin slippers for decades, and expected the same great sturdy quality. The soles are OK, but the entire upper is so flimsy that my foot slides off the footbed of the slipper because the upper offers no resistance or sturdiness. It's way too soft and flimsy. I returned them.

I actually sent these back. They didn't slip on very easily and once I got them on, the sole felt too thick down the middle of the slipper. To their credit, they were very cozy and the construction looked like it would last a lifetime.

Last fall, my beloved Wicked Good slippers gave up the ghost after a decade of regular use, so I was looking forward to receiving a new pair for Christmas. These new ones just aren't the same. The upper is thin and cheap-feeling. Worse yet is the sole -- the padding is so narrow it feels like a plank, and my feet keep rolling off. I'll be surprised if these last a year.

I love my Bean shearling boots - they are so warm and comfortable. I bought these slippers fully expecting the shearling would be thick and plush like the boots. It is not. It is feathery and sparce. The slippers are rather ugly with a pointy toe and my two do not match. I hope the quality of the boots does not change with a new batch because I guess I'll have to buy another pair to wear around the house. It's so cold in Northern California! To LL Bean - please don't cheapen the quality of your items to save money - charge more, if needs be.

The slippers are wicked good looking and comfortable, but one slipper developed a slit in the upper after three days of wearing in the house. I have returned the slippers and have requested a replacement pair, hoping that this was one that slipped through quality control testing.

Nice quality however I ordered a size 8 slipper with a shoe size 7 1/2 and it was quite small.

This is the second time I have had these slippers but the quality has really changed. My last pair had much more interior fur and padding. I had them for quite some time and loved them so order another pair. I have had my second pair for less than one month and already feel worn out. Please go back to the older style where there was leather support up the center seam and more interior padding. Don't think I will order them again.

Slippers were nice and soft, but the inner sole was very narrow and the fleece sides were wide, causing my foot to slip around inside. I returned them.

there is a piece of paper on the inner sole of the slippers that is glued to the fluffy coating and cannot be removed. Is there a purpose for this? Also, the label sewn in the side CAN be felt by the bare foot, and should be cut off by the customer, or should be placed differently in manfacturer. Typically, LLBean products are perfect, so these flaws were a surprise.

I typically love the items bought at L.L.Bean and wanted to replace some comfy slippers I had for many years from Bean. These, however, were not comfy. The fleece inside clumped and it was uncomfortable to walk on hard floors. Bean still exchanged! Thank you. And I think I found the correct slippers and have already ordered them.
