I have purchased these slippers numerous times over the years, was by far my favorite slipper. Now they are made in China and just not the same quality.....and do not last nearly as long. Sadly this will probably be the last ones I purchase unless there is an improvement.

I am wearing my second pair of these slippers. While I really thought this was the slipper for me i have been sorely disappointed two times now. This last pair has only lasted 6-7 months and i am having to again re-lace the sole onto the top again. I will not purchase another pair of these as i know it will happen again. After spending this kind of money plus the shipping i would expect a lot more especially from LL Bean.

I wear a size 6 shoe and don't wear shoes out quickly. Shoes I wear daily last years. I bought size 7 slippers a couple of years ago. The fleece has worn out in the heel and they've split along the side seam. I had complained at the time I received them that, despite being a size larger than my shoe size, they were a tight fit. I was told the fleece would tamp down. They are wonderfully warm, but have worn out WAY too soon - and WERE too small for their sizing. These should be sized for their fit to a normal shoe sized foot - i.e. even though the outer size of the slipper might measure to a 7, it should be promoted as the size of the foot that will fit inside.

I was appalled at the decline in the quality of this product. I have worn these slippers for years and have reordered numerous times, but what I received yesterday was of poor quality to the point that I returned them. It's difficult to tell the difference between the left and right slipper and the workmanship is shabby. I won't be wearing these anymore.

I had high hopes for these slippers and while they look pretty, there is very little padding or fur lining. I aguess I am going to keep them simply because I do not want to pay return shipping and they are fine for sitting on the couch. And now that I am reading them they are made in China. Something I did not expect. Ugh.

Yes, I really wanted this pair to work. While they are snug, perhaps in time, my feet will tamp down the lining. But the unavoidable problem is that even after only 3 months of casual (and always indoors) use the thread holding the top to the bottom along the side and at the heal is frail and fraying so much that they are likely soon to fail. Should I stitch with my own twine? Return to LLBean? Ouch: In either case, a disappointing hassle.

I have a pair of these, same size, that are about 10 years old. After a teething puppy and a thieving daughter, I asked my husband for a new pair. I was very disappointed to find that they are significantly shorter in length, and overall look so much smaller than my old pair! I simply cannot fit my foot in the slipper. Add to that, you can see that the quality of the leather is nothing like the old pair. I will be returning them to our local LL Bean store. I seriously doubt I will be ordering another pair.

I loved the look of these slippers, but the opening of them is too small. I cannot get them on my feet unless I use a shoe horn :( They are so cute and the color is so pretty, its a shame they made the opening so small :(

I'm very disappointed in the quality of the slipper. I used to have LL Bean shearling slippers that I loved but they just got filthy so I wanted to replace them. But these are pretty much falling apart and I only got them a few months ago. The worst part is the seams are splitting on the inside and exposing the inside of the leather which is not soft and absorbent. It gets sweaty and sticky and feels constantly like I've stepped in soda pop or something. You can't really wear socks with these slippers because they'll just slip off your foot. So I don't know what to do about this. Probably will just buy a cheapie replacement. I'm very disappointed.

I have been wearing these slippers for over 30 years and while I love them the quality has gone way down. I use to get at least 2-3 years out of every pair-- not now. I now need a new pair every 6 months as the stitching falls apart and the inside fabric wears out. I will not buy them except when there is a significant discount and I may just have to give them up completely due to the poor quality.

I have a high arch, but took a chance with this style because my feet have been so cold this winter. Unfortunately, they are just too hard to put on and get off without sufficient room in the opening so they are going back.

I have had the same slipper in the past, but this pair didn't work out so well. The right foot kept "lisping" to the right, and twisted my sock, which was very annoying. Last pair didn't do that. I now can return them for an exchange, which I'm not sure I want to, or a return them for a refund, but if they don't think they are defective, I have no slippers, no money. They would be great if you didn't wear socks, but I usually do, because my feet are always cold. They were expensive, but my last pair was totally worth it.

if I had not thrown away the packaging I would send these back - I cannon imagine the foot that these would fit - one with a very narrow heel on one foot only - they look lovey and warm but impossible to walk in. I will donate the to the women's shelter - maybe someone there has strange feet that these will fit !!!

The padding and warmth is amazing, like no other, but the width of the boot is not acceptable . My feet and toes were over the sole when I walked. I thought i could twist my ankle in it. Very unhappy I couldn't purchase. Very. If only they made them wider. Now i did go for the new Mocccasin in Wide but those were much too long for a size nine. I suppose I could have ordered an eight and tried that, but I had done so much ordering and returning already with Ll Bean lately. They just do not understand shoes for Ameican Women IMHO.

Very disappointed in these slippers. I have returned 3 pairs because the stitching along the sole wears through, one pair lasted 4 months! Before this recent problem I had a pair that I wore for YEARS! Will not buy this slipper ever again.

Soft and comfortable, but the sole is flimsy with no support. Should have picked something else since I have tile floors.

I purchased these slippers two years ago for wear during Pennsylvania fall/winter months. With less than ten months wear during appropriate seasons, the slippers came apart at the seams. The quality does not match the investment. If you page through reviews, you will note others have had similar experience. Myself, I expected years of wear rather than just months. With the change of warranty, not my best investment. I have attached a photo.

I have owned and worn this style slipper for decades..This is my 4th pair, all have been a 9M. Yes, they last a very long time. This new pair, seems to have a narrower toe area less rounded than my old pair. This gives you less toe comfort. I will be returning to local store or giving them to my daughter. :(

I see why they changed their lifetime guarantees. I've had these slippers for only one full, maybe one and a half winters, and the stitching has completely broken. As well, the fleece pills and comes out, so the heel is down to no fleece at all.

These slippers are such a disappointment. I know we aren't suppose to compare to something we bought 25 years ago, but I can't help but be shocked by the change in quality. I don't mind that the lining is synthetic. But the lack of any support in the slipper at all is making it a sloppy shoe to walk in. The sides near the arches are completely rolling over and making my walking uncomfortable. I've only had them for a little over a month, but I can tell they aren't working for me. My husband says I look like my feet aren't sitting in them good when walking. I want my old ones back, but the deal was that I had to get rid of them when I got these!

I got my pair of Wicked Good Ladies Slippers in 2015. They are only worn in the house - never outdoors. After about 18 months the stitching has let go on the right slipper - LL Bean won't repair or replace or send replacement thread. My last pair lasted over seven years, and they replaced them when the upper leather ripped. Now with the changes in policy, even defective goods aren't replaced.

I've been planning to replace my wicked good slippers for at least a year, as they have served me well over many years. I think this was my second pair. I saw the recent unfavorable reviews and was puzzled, but ordered a pair. They feel like you are on an ice skate blade, narrow middle part, and you might twist an ankle sliding sidewise off the center. They definitely do not feel solid flat. The measurement of outside leather is the same, so something has to be different inside, out of sight. I gave them a two as the dark ones are attractive and the sheep wool feels thick. This is extremely disappointing.

I got a size 10 because that's what I wear, and it was huge, and my right foot kept slipping off of the sole. No big deal, I exchanged for a size 9. Still incredibly wide, and again, my foot kept slipping off of the right sole. I was beginning to think it was me until I logged on and read reviews about the right sole in particular. It's like it skews more towards the inner foot, which is not ideal if you actually want to walk while wearing them. The shoe itself is very wide and hangs over the soles (there is no "snug" fit, even though it's a size smaller than my normal shoe size, and I already have wide feet to begin with), and the soles are very narrow, forcing you to have to walk in such a way that your foot doesn't "roll". Also, the wool on the footbed was very clumpy....piled in some areas, bare in others. It was just subpar. The instructions did say that it would form to your natural footbed eventually, and it did get more comfortable, but I have gotten more plushness from slippers at Target than these shoes unfortunately. The shearing on the sides were heavenly and suede is butter soft and beautiful, hence the 2 stars instead of one. I will need to return these also. I would like to try other shoes from LL Bean, as this was my first purchase of anything from LL Bean, but after having to return twice (and I NEVER return stuff bc it's a hassle, but they were just too expensive), I'm a little shy. So I think I will try another company and maybe later down the line I'll give it another go.

I purchased a pair of Wicked Good Slippers when I lived in Maine in 2012. I loved them and lived in them! They were so soft, warm and comfortable and putting them on was sort of like visiting an old friend. After 6 years they began to wear down so I bought another pair. Wow! As soon as I saw them in the box, I knew they were not at all the same. They are smaller, narrower, have less fleece in them and generally feel awkward to walk in, as if they are not even. My feet actually roll when I walk and I feel like I am losing my balance. I was sadly disappointed, as I just love the "old" ones. I will be sending these back, but will remain a faithful LLBEAN customer!
