I just received these...planned on giving them to my daughter for Christmas. I will probably send them back. She wears a 7.5 and ordered up as stated in the description. Then I open them up and they say they should be snug at first, then they stretch out. As I refer back to the reviews I see that supposedly they run big and wide. One person said she usually wears 8.5 and 8 fit her perfect. What? And was surprised that the "fluffy" inside wasn't as soft as I expected. Of course this is all my opinion. But I have one question for llbean...why no slippers with half sizes???

I bought these slippers as a gift for my 89 yr old Mom. She had a pair in the past and loved them. Unfortunately because her ankles are so swollen she could not even get the slipper on.This style is not made for any one with large ankles. I will be returning them .

I received a pair of these Wicked Good Slippers for Christmas (2015). They're warm and comfy and I've worn them around the house (on hardwood floors, carpet and linoleum) for maybe an hour in the morning and an hour at night. After less than eight weeks the stitching is worn through on one slipper and the seam is coming apart. I am very disappointed in the poor quality of the slippers, especially considering the price. I'm going to contact LL Bean but, in the meantime, I cannot recommend these.

This was the #1 item on my Christmas list this past year- and Ive worn them (indoors only) every day since receiving. They continue to be very warm and comfortable--however have stretched out considerably! I read reviews before passing along my size and decided on a 1/2 size smaller than normal, however it should have been a FULL size. Pretty bummed with how they continue to 'grow' only after a month of receiving them and will try another style next time.

Kept walking over on the sides of the slipper. Same thing happened last time. Should have returned them. Wore them twice and will not wear again

My husband sews up the soles on my 20+ year old LL Bean Moose hide slippers (have two pair) about every seven or eight years. The newer suede slippers are OK but don't wear or hold a candle to the quality of the old ones. Am willing to pay more for Moose hide that wears forever.

I looked and looked for women's slippers WITHOUT the rubberized sole. This is the only pair that I found, even after searching the web. They are not really the style I wanted, and are rather tight now, until I get them "used to my feet." I will keep them, and hopefully they will become a little wider and more comfy with wear.

I wear a size 6.5 or 7 in all shoes, so I ordered a size 7. These slippers were huge!! They must have been mislabeled. At any rate, I called LLBean and was able to send them back without paying return postage, so I was happy about that. However, I am afraid to order another size and I am disappointed because the slippers themselves looked so comfy.

These were exactly what I wanted but unfortunately I am returning them. They were warm, fit right and soft. I have a balance problem and my heel kept slipping off of the round laced heel part. I would recommend them to every one who doesn't have this problem.

I ordered these to replace some sheepskin slippers I have had for years. My others had a sole you could wear outside and were very sturdy. These were very soft & warm but just not well fitting or supportive, and already looking sloppy with the leather sagging in places. I just didn't feel they would wear well or the quality was up to the price I paid. I am returning them.

The quality is very good. The leather soles look like they will last longer than the plastic soles from another manufacturer. However, the fit leave something to be desired. A small slip of paper that came with the slippers stated that the toe area would be a bit tight at first, but that my toes would make enough room in the furry lining. But why wasn't sufficient toe room designed into the slipper in the first place? As it is, each slipper is designed with long narrow pointed toes, while feet are not, making it difficult to distinguish the right foot from the left, and squeezing the toes in the process. Wear only improved the situation a little.

Good: So warm and the footbed is sturdier than the pictures made it seem. Love these slippers except for this one major bummer...
Bad: The seam in the back where the pull-up tab is located is so weak. I've only had these slippers for a few weeks and in 2 different pulls the seam has come undone about 1.5 inches.
Will be returning, sadly.

I ordered these for myself after reading the mostly glowing reviews. When I pulled them out of the box, I thought they didn't seem very substantial for $80 slippers. But when I put them on, they were indeed very soft, warm and comfy. I just hate how they look, IMO they are really ugly. I was about to box them up and send them back when my 11 year old son tried them on and fell in love, so now he's enjoying them. So this pair got a happy ending. One person's ugly is another person's cozy ( ;

I used to wear these kinds of slippers years ago, and thought I'd get another pair. I have narrow feet. These slippers are not only too wide, but also quite long. I have bought some insoles to put into them, hoping that will make them more comfortable for me. I'm sure that people with wide feet would love them.

These are comfortable, but the size 10 did not fit me.They fit in the heel only. It's a common problem these days for manufacturer's that do not allow enough room in the ball area of the foot and toes. Too narrow in the front of the slipper. No room for a full spread of straight toes.
Maybe would fit someone whose toes are very small indeed.

I have worn these slippers for decades and just ordered a new pair (my third) because my current pair is literally falling apart. Unfortunately, the new pair was defective. The seam on the top was S shaped on one and C shaped on the other instead of straight, and the triangle of leather on the front of one slipper was crooked by about 45 degrees. When you pay $79 for a pair of slippers, you expect first quality, not seconds. LL Bean needs to improve their quality control.
There is one other thing worth mentioning: when I bought these slippers in the past, they were always snug at first. However, this pair was not. I'm not sure what to think of that, but it is certainly a change.

The slippers were attractive, but I could not get my foot into them. It would have been better to have a zipper in the front.

I was disappointed. It was as though they were constructed by two different people. The left slipper had less fuffy wool inside and there was a small cut on the sole by the logo and a little bigger than the right. Not the quality you'd expect for the price. I am grateful for LL Bean's wonderful customer service. They are always willing to try to make things right.

I had a pair of these for about five years, and loved them so much. But they really wore out, down to the sheepskin in the heels and elsewhere. I was delighted when, after sending them back, L.L.Bean replaced them with a brand new pair in the same size (7). I normally wear a 6-1/2 narrow in shoes, but for slippers, a 7 medium worked because I always wore socks with them in the cold Iowa winters. But I can hardly get this pair on, with or without socks, even though they are the same size. I can't decide if the fluffy lining is too thick, or if the sizing has changed. I can't imagine going up to an 8 -- it would surely end up being too big in the heels. But I also can't imagine spending the next winter(s) without a pair! Now I'm wondering what to do.

I received a pair of these for Christmas. I moved from down South to Up North and spent the first 2 winters with 2 pairs of cheap slippers I wore out.
So I thought I'd buy a pair I'd have for years because that's what LL Bean is all about. I got a pair of these for Christmas.
I liked them, although I wish the front part went up higher on the ankle, but I wear socks with my slippers most of the time so it wasn't too bad.
However it's March and I was looking at them and realized the stitching had worn through and broken at the heel of both slippers. The seaming on the leather at the back of the shoe (on the body of the shoe) is starting to split on one of them and the stitching on the toes is going and the leather is splitting at the toes as well.
Now, I do push my slippers off with my toes but I would think that LL Bean could anticipate that people would do that and build slippers that last. I don't know why the stitches on the heels are going, except maybe the way I'm taking the shoes off. Which again, I would think LL Bean would anticipate. Also I wear my slippers inside the house all the time - I come home, take off my work shoes, and put on my slippers and wear them until I go to bed, but again, I would think that level of use would be anticipated.
But I did the same things with my cheap fake material slippers that lasted almost twice as long as these have (the wicked good slippers haven't lasted 3 months yet).
I called customer service and they were very nice. I'm getting a new pair and hopefully changes were made and the slippers will last. I picked LL Bean because, in my mind, it means quality but if the next pair of slippers doesn't last maybe I'll have to rethink htat.

These slippers are not as comfortable as the ones made many years ago. The old ones just seemed to wrap and cuddle your foot. These seem like your are just walking on a piece of cardboard with some fleece. They are warm, but sure don't compare to the old ones I wore until they were ragged and full of holes.

Quality and overall workmanship is very good. But beware of sizing.
I normally wear a woman's size 9. These slippers in that size are too short and too tight a fit in the width. I have returned them and re-ordered a men's slipper in men's size 8.

My last pair of Wicked Good Slippers lasted a good 8 yrs, so when the seams finally frayed, I rushed on-line to buy a new pair. I'm a little disappointed that they're a tad small. Not a huge problem, I'll just exchange them, but would've preferred the size be true on the first try. Otherwise, they're great: soft & warm!
