We have been purchasing these slippers for more than 25 years. They used to be made of supreme materials and would last for at least 4 years of indoor use. Sadly, that is not true of the last 2 pairs, they only lasted less than 2 years, I purchased replacements, but, for the price, this will be the last time. The quality continues to decline. So sad, LL Bean has lost our longtime support. Hate it, but, that crazy expensive brand with the patch on the heal might be the way to go.

This is my 5th pair of these slippers and they are sewn MUCH tighter than previous pairs, making it not nearly as easy to get on. Am hoping they will stretch with time.

They're a bit more snug than they used to be, but still comfy.

I purchased these slippers a few years ago and have worn them almost continuously (not during the hot weather) ever since. I just threw them out even though they had some life left in them. The reason is that the soles have become so smooth and slippery that I have nearly tripped on my hardwood floors a number of times. I truly cannot remember the degree of traction (if any) when I bought them but there is absolutely none there now.
BE CAREFUL!!!!

Had to return first pair as they were small even using the sizing guide. Second pair small too. Final straw was the irritating tag sewn inside the slipper! Why put something like that inside when it can be put outside or stamped on the sole? Was a very disappointing experience.

I've been buying these slippers every few (3-4) years for the past 25 years, in size 9. They're well made, sturdy, comfortable and warm, and even though I wear a 10 in everything else, I've always worn a 9 in these slippers, because they're suede, so they stretch. So I ordered these again in a size 9 and couldn't even get my foot into them (I'm still the same size in other shoe brands.) So I brought them to the store to exchange for a size 10. When I got them home, I noticed: Despite both slippers saying size 10 on the bottom, the right slipper (which I tried on in the store) is significantly longer and slightly wider than the left slipper, which feels very snug. When I compare the sole length of the new ones to my old slippers, the left one (10) is the same length as the old nines and the right 10 is longer than the old nines. The left one feels the way I remember my older pairs feeling when new, or perhaps slightly snugger (except the old ones were 9s.) The right one feels comfortable-to-slightly-loose. If they were both snug or both looser that would be okay but they're different sizes and that just feels weird. To top it all off, the stitching/cutting of the triangle over the instep is sloppy and the right slipper has a weird pucker in the toe.
Now I'm going to have to return these, too, which is really a pain because I live way out in a rural area. And I'm very unhappy because I wanted a new pair like the ones I've had for 25 years and it seems I'm going to have to get something else.
I had this same issue of two different sized slippers with the Camp Mocs I bought a few years ago, and another reviewer had the same problem. The quality control has gone way downhill.

I liked them so much I bough a second pair after a few years. My old ones still felt okay but got a little sticky so I chucked them. The news ones came and looked great, but one shoe had way more feeling than the other. I tried to ignore it but it was too uncomfortable. I returned them.

Not what they used to be, but I keep buying them hoping they will recover. This might be my last time as i just can't justify the price anymore.
These slippers used to last me several years. My last pair only lasted a year. Mind you, I was wearing them a lot more due to more time at home during the height of the pandemic. That said, the sheepskin is not at all what it used to be. Very inconsistent in thickness of hide and plushness of fur from one section of the slipper to the next. Also, the stitching came loose. I've never had that happen before.
I've had my current pair for only a couple weeks and I can see I'm going to have to buy sheepskin inserts already as the fur is thinning in some places.
I expect more for the price of these slippers so will probably be moving on to something new. Sad, I have enjoyed them for over 20 years.

I have a wide foot. Have ordered these a couple of times, but no more. Inevitably, the side of the slipper comes apart because of my foot width. I guess LL Bean is unable to accommodate wide widths because of costs.

I've had two pairs of these slippers. The first pair were truly "Wicked Good!" and lasted me for 20 years or more. So, naturally, when they finally had to be retired, I ordered a second pair (for Christmas). Imagine my horror when, after less than 2 years, the stitching of the sole gave way on the inside of the left slipper next to the big toe. I made an unsightly repair with a black shoelace and soldiered on for another couple of years. Recently, the right slipper has begun to fail in exactly the same way. I think I remember that the first pair were sewn together with rawhide (or a reasonable facsimile thereof). These, like the ones in the current catalog, are sewn with, well, what appear to be cotton bootlaces. Your once "Wicked Good" slippers are no better than okay.

I wanted to love these slippers, but I just couldn't get past the fact that one's shearling was thicker than the other. Of the 3 styles I tried, this is the one I would have kept if it weren't for that. Disappointing quality control for this price.

I have purchased these slippers several times, and until the current pair they lasted for years. I bought my current pair a little less than two years ago, and within the last month I became aware that the stitching holding the sole to the body of the slipper, on the back side of one of the slippers, had disintegrated. (The other slipper is fine.). I am aware that the "returns" period is now only one year, but I contacted customer service anyway, and was told I could send in the slippers for "evaluation" to see if there was defective materials or workmanship. I decided to take them to my local LL Bean store instead. There, a manager told me it was normal wear and tear, and (essentially) I could pound sand. Now mind you, I wear these at home, indoors, and mostly am sitting while wearing them. And I don't wear them during warm weather. If I had paid $25 for the slippers, I guess I wouldn't complain but I would expect $89 slippers to last more than 23 months. My previous slippers of this style lasted for many years. SoI'm very unhappy with the diminished quality of these slippers, and I will have to shop elsewhere to replace these.

This is my 3rd pair of LLs wicked good slipper. The last pair fit like a glove & were made very well. This new pair doesn't compare. They're longer, don't fit around the ankle evenly, & the left one isn't centered properly. Made differently, poorly, & not worth their hi price. I'm very disappointed in the quality & when I need new ones I'll not order an LL product.

Gorgeous, well-made slipper, but runs way too big. I am a standard women's size 9 in most everything and these felt like a 10. Had to return and look elsewhere due to no free returns with LL Beans.

These are not made the same as my current pair, which are about 2 years old. The seam around the sole is hard and not comfortable. I returned them

Bought my wife a replacement pair for Xmas. The lining isn't as soft or as thick as on the originals purchased two years ago. (I also have a 2 year old pair for comparison). General inflation, supply chain issues, or bad luck with a sheep? They're well made but somehow less value for the same price vs the last purchase. That's the way things will go at least for the near future, I suppose.

When I first got the slippers and tried them on and wore them around the house for about a week they were fine and comfortable.
Then the right foot of the slipper started leaning sideways, when I am walking! I don't know if it's the slipper or my foot. I have never had an issues like that before with any other slippers!

The shearling is gorgeous. Unfortunately the label is sewn in the instep, which scratches if you wear these slippers without socks. Otherwise they are warm and wonderful.

Nicely made and warm but liner on bottom bunches up near toes. This happened on another pair I had a while ago too.
Too bad because otherwise they are nice slippers

These are great except that the stitching is coming out after having just under a year. I wear often but expected these to last a lot longer after reading reviews before purchasing.

This is my fourth pair. The first pair I bought did not have the triangular piece at the opening for the foot which made it much easier to get off and on. The last 3 models have included this leather piece. I am assuming it is there to create a snug fit to keep cold out; however, it is not
needed because these slippers are quite warm. The design flaw is annoying, because it really takes a lot of effort to put the slippers on instead of being able to slip them on.

Just received my slippers today. When I tried them on I didn't get the feeling that the slippers were too tight due to being stuffed with shearling, which I used to love, (after a few days' wear they would begin to conform to my foot). Also when walking around they no longer feel like I'm walking on a cloud. I'm bummed. It's so hard to find really good, comfy slippers and I'm tired of paying return shipping.

They are too tight to slip into and too short to keep my ankles warm. Too bad that the wide is unavailable or I probably would have swapped them out. I like that I can return them even after wearing them. How else would I know whether they will wear in?

The slippers don't have as much shearling in them as the used to. My feet are freezing inside and it's only in the 40's outside. Can't imagine what they'll feel like when it's really cold out. My previous two pair were toasty. Hate the quality has slipped. The stitching is still of good quality.
