The toe band was so painful I couldn't even wear them around the house to try them out. I was so disappointed because they are cute for Birks and I wanted them to work out.

This style of Birkenstocks in the main shoe I wear as it is best for my plantar fasciitis. I've been wearing my 3rd pair in this style for only about 5-6 months, and one of the side straps just pulled free from the show, still attached to a chunk of cork. My first pair in this style with Birkibuc straps had the strap wear out and break free at the attachment between the toes. I swapped to the sturdier oiled leather straps, but now experienced them tearing away from the side of the sandal. I have other styles of Birkenstocks that have lasted years and are still in good shape. This style and strap placement does not seem to be a good design, or a good quality product, as I've now had 2 out of three that have quickly broken and become unwearable. This is frustrating, as this is my favorite style to wear and at $125/pair, is not a cheap shoe.

I purchased these a few months ago and wore them throughout summer, and they're now completely unusable. These sandals are true to size and are very comfortable. They mold to the shape of your foot to support your arch, and this helped with my back support. They are also very trendy and stylish. However, only the fabric kept the shoe together after a few months. The soles have been worn through, the sandal straps have been torn off the base, as well as the cork on the edges is visibly deteriorating. I would not recommend purchasing this product since these shoes cost over a hundred dollars and last for merely a few months. Yes, they are comfy and attractive at first, but they inevitably break apart. Don't waste your money!

They were too big and the leather was very stiff. I sent them back and got a size 36 Salina which fit perfectly. A 37 is too big for a size 6. They were a pretty color though, just didn't work out.

These were immediately very comfortable. Unfortunately, the toe loop on the right sandal came out of the sole today. I got two months of wear making these a little pricey.

The shoe is really cute and fit well. I wear an 8.5 and the 39 was perfect. However, the shoe had already been worn enough that it had someone else's toe imprints and had also obviously begun to form to that person's foot-yuck. It also didn't come in the original box. I'm sending back to exchange for the exact same shoe and am hoping that Zappos actually sends me a pair of "New" ones.

I have wide feet and high insteps and could barely get these on, so they were unfortunately very uncomfortable.

The adjustable toe straps were defective in that they are too short. This style is just not comfortable for my foot.

The strap by the toe is glued weird and pushed in on big toe of both shoes. Really uncomfortable. I think it is because they are made from the faux material, as the leather ones are not like that.

I've owned 4 size 38 Mayari in the past few years, but when I received this pair it was almost as if two different shoes were put into the same box. One sandal was the proper fit, the toe loop on the other was stretched out, almost as if it had been worn (but the sole wasn't even dirty so I know that wasn't the case). The leather on one sandal was really distressed while the other was almost shiny. I'll be returning and hopefully getting another pair. Love the color!

These were an exchange item after my first pair was too big I my usual size. They fit great, like a glove. The thing is: they sent me used shoes! There were dark brown gummy specs worn into the foot beds and toe prints worn in as well. Whoever tried these on and returned them before me wore them extensively. To top it off there was animal hair on them as well. Ew. I usually have great experiences with Zappos but this was lackluster for sure. I love their return policy but I guess some people abuse it (or don’t wash their feet).

The iced poppy color is so summery, and the style of the Mayari is so cute, and I really wanted to love these sandals, but they just weren't comfortable and made a strange suction sound when I walked coming from the area around the arch. So sad!

First of all, this review DOES NOT reflect a problem with Zappos, however it does reflect a problem with this particular style of Birkenstock (quality control). This is the forth pair of Birks I've purchased (all from Zappos), 1 pair of Arizona's, 2 pair of Gizeh's, and now this pair of Mayari's. I wanted to expand my collection of style's and colors of Birkenstock sandals, as I have numerous medical issues with my feet, and require a shoe that would cause no discomfort. I always read reviews prior to purchasing, and although I noticed some poor reviews of the Mayari, specifically the toe ripping and some quality control issues, I purchased the item (in oiled leather) since the positive reviews really were complimentary regarding the style and comfort. This particular shoe was received and when once I attached all the buckles for my comfort level, I noticed the right toe strap was much loser than the left (which was perfect). I immediately went on to the Zappos site to return for a replacement of the same shoe, which unfortunately was out of stock in my size. I then figured I would return this style for another Birk style in the Blue Oiled Leather, again, no luck, out of stock in my size. Although the shoe is defective, I'm going to make it work because I really want this style and color of sandal. Luckily, the strap that is lose does not hinder the overall comfort, however, it aesthetically alters the physical appearance of the shoe. Clearly, Birkenstock needs to "up their game" in quality control......when you're paying $125 for a pair of sandals, the quality should be nothing less than exceptional (which my other three pair of Birks are). Again, this review reflects nothing against this vendor......every pair of shoes I've purchased from Zappos has been delivered in a timely manner, and other than this particular purchase, the shoes have always been received in excellent condition.

The fit and color were perfect. Sadly they were returned because the strap around the big toe was way too long on one shoe.

Color name and pics are confusing. I wanted red shoes and this mayari kept appearing. But the color leans toward pink…maybe watermelon. I love the mayari style and fit but am sending this shoe back because of the color. it’s definitely not red.

I so wanted to be like the over 4 thousand five star reviewers but alas, my feet thought these were very uncomfortable. The buckle on the right and left sides of my feet rubbed, so were unwearable for that alone, but the the leather was stiff and not supple as I expected. The sandal base was stiff and unforgiving. Nope, not made for my feet. They are so iconic, I wanted to try a pair. Guess I'll keep looking...

I couldn’t even get the shoe onto my right foot because my bunion wouldn’t fit through the toe ring, and it was completely unadjustable. I returned them.

I wanted to love these! I love the look, and I measured my feet according to the guide on the Birkenstock website to ensure I got the right size. The shoes were a little uncomfortable at first, but everything I read said that that was normal until you get them broken in. I’ve tried to get them broken in but they just don’t seem to work for my feet and I now get shooting pains through my foot when I put them on. Overall, they’re a beautiful color and style, just not for my foot. I wouldn’t discourage anyone from buying them, just really check the fit when you first get them in.

You sent the wrong sandals. I received a $99 pair of Birkies, not these, so I returned them. Fit was fine though.

These are definitely not as cute as the picture. The color is more a dull honey mustard than apricot, the buckles and white footbed look cheap, Also, I have this sandal in a smaller size, but the straps over the toe on this one feel tighter than the smaller size. Overall, disappointment and I will be returning them.
