Shoe was fine but wrong color sent.

Fit truly too big I’m constantly 7-71/2 This had at least 3/4 of an inch extra behind my heel

I have had multiple pairs of Birkenstock Mayari and loved them; however, the pair I received was not comfortable. The toe strap on the right foot was too tight or at an angle that caused pain to my toe. I had ordered a pair last year and experienced the same thing but I decided to keep it thinking it would stretch and conform to my foot. It did but still not comfortable. I don't know if it is my foot or the sandal but sadly, I had to return.

I bought these to replace a pair that were beyond even Birkenstock's repair abilities, so I was very confused when I put them on and the strap nearest the ankle was way too loose. Finally, comparing them to my old ones, it was clear that the strap had been attached too far forward, so was being forced up by the arch support, and wasn't sitting correctly to secure my foot. I read the other reviews about weirdness in the Birkenstocks people were getting from Zappos, but gave it a shot anyway. Mine came in a proper box, and were clearly new, but my guess is they were seconds. Won't try that again.....

I tried these because I had similar in another brand that were old and falling apart. These shoes are actually really nice, right foot was great. But have had multiple surgeries on left foot and it's very difficult to find shoes that fit good and are comfortable. Unfortunately these are not a good fit for me

Love this shoe, but in this color the dye bled and I had pink feet for months before it stopped happening. I put up with them because I love the color. I wore them last summer and put them away in the fall. Just got them out two weeks ago for the summer and the toe strap broke. In total, I probably got 5 months of (not daily) wear out of them. I contacted Zappos, but the shoes were just under a month out of warantee. So disappointed. I'm used to having Birks last for years.

The material is so stiff that within an hour of wear (inside the house), I was in pain. The size was as usual and I have the exact same pair in a different color and, obviously, material so I thought they would be perfect. Ouch!!

For me, these shoes were very uncomfortable and I returned them. They are very good looking sandals and I am very sad they didn't work out, but they didn't match the shape of my foot and caused me some pain.

The edges of the straps were not comfortable on my skin. The holes in the straps needed to be about halfway in between the existing holes to fit correctly.

The leather was very stiff and since it is a show that goes between the toes, it was very uncomfortable.

The straps (not even buckled) fit too tight across my big toe where the straps criss-cross.

I ordered oiled leather thinking it would be soft. The material Was hard and rough. Very disappointed.

I really wanted to love these, but Birkenstock needs to do something about their quality control. One of these shoes was significantly larger than the other. So, one shoe fit perfectly, and the other was ridiculously large. The arch is also in a weird place, so that made them uncomfortable. I’ve made several attempts to buy Birkenstocks now, and there have been weird issues with the fit on all of them. I love the color of these, and I’m so disappointed to have to return them.

the strap between my toes hurt and would not loosen up

The pair I received had discolored leather and the quality doesn't appear to be the same as when I bought this exact pair 2 years ago.

Want to love them, but I need to try the soft bed. Firm contoured bed didn't curve in all the right places for me.

I did not like these Birks, I have two other pairs of this style and these did not compare, leather was stiff and cuts into my foot. They are supposed to be blue but more blue black color.

Size was smaller than the last time I purchased a size 38. Odd. Leather was so stiff, I'd have been in blisters before they were broken in - no way I'm paying for that experience. I'm a little worried the Birk quality has gone bad since my last Birk purchase several years ago. My last pair was ready to go outta the box. Very disappointed.

The fit of these is strange. I can adjust the straps on the left one to fit perfectly. The right one flaps on my foot, no matter how I adjust the straps. I understand that Birkenstocks require a break-in period, but these seem to be cut differently from the left to the right shoe. I don’t foresee breaking them in improving this situation, so I must return them. I understand that even with the best quality shoes, factory issues can happen, and since these have such a good reputation, I’m going to try ordering another pair.

The Mayara has changed since the last pair I owned and lived in. The toe strap, though adjustable, just hit me in all the wrong places and the leather is too hard to attempt to break them in. Will have to try another style or perhaps something in the softer suede.
