A very cute shoe. Like the way it looks and fits. It is lightweight, flexible and is comfortable. However, they look like they'd be more cushy than they really are. No arch support and very little cushioning. Cute none the less. The olive/tan combo is really good looking.

Not quite as comfortable as I expected - I've received lots of compliments on the look of these shoes. I'm surprised that they don't offer the level of comfort that I expected. Seem not to have enough support to prevent my feet and legs from getting tired after moderate walking.

Allrounder by Mephisto's Niro - When I first ordered a pair of the Allrounder’s I had a problem with the right shoe rubbing on the top of my foot. I called Zappos and they immediately sent me a replacement pair (great and very friendly customer service). The second pair I received fit properly. The only problem I've experienced is that my feet feel extremely hot when I wear them without socks… As far as looks go I think they are great...I guess that's why I initially purchased them.

Its nice but could be better - Too big. Too wide. Straps hang off the sides when fitted. Cute look. Great heel support. Firm sole. I thought it would be more comfortable for a Mephisto...my first try. I like it enough to try a half size smaller though and see if it can work.

Great except sizing is inconsistent- I bought two pair; and loved them so much for comfort and style, that I bought a third. The third felt smaller, so much so that I thought the wrong size pair had been put in the box. I thought maybe I was going crazy until I happened upon these other reviews. I would definitely buy these again in new colors, but feel I would need to try on in store.

Great, cute shoe. The Niro is a very cute shoe and very comfortable for everyday walking and shopping. There is not enough stability for exercise walking, but I think that is not the intent. It is comfortable out of the box. The Velcro allows some customization of the fit. The hook side of the Velcro is on the shoe vs. the strap so if you sit cross legged on the floor the Velcro snags in the carpet or snags your socks or stockings if you cross your legs at the ankle. This is the only real drawback.

Wide feet sisters beware! I have "Fred Flintstone" feet so I don't mind spending the cash for the comfort, but I got the raw end of the deal on this one. They look great, they are handmade, plus they make velcro look cool, but on my Egyptian excursion, I should not have had to pull out spare flip-flops. If you have wide feet, just be cautious is all.

I had to send them back. -- Too small - Zappos gets 6 stars for service -- They've been great. But I have a couple of pairs of these shoes (OK! I have 4 pairs) and the size is unreliable. The orange and the brown both were smaller than the marked size, while the black and the gray were true to size. I love these shoes and I have real foot problems.

Looks great! I decided to buy this pair of shoes because I read so many reviews stating that these have "excellent arch support". I stand and walk a lot in my job and I need shoes have great arch support and is comfortable. The truth is: this pair only has moderate arch support. I have to use orthotic inserts to improve the arch support. Nevertheless, this shoe looks great. In my opinion, shoes have the best arch support are Dansko. I have 7 or 8 pairs and I probably will buy even more of them.

Functional with charming whimsy- I walk to work and walk home again- a five-mile round trip- and am a longstanding Mephisto fan. I am always interested in shoes that can cover the miles, are comfortable and supportive to wear, and that don't look any more unfashionable than they have to look. The Niros are comfortable and very functional "light hiking" shoes- they take five miles a day easily. Their appearance is delightfully whimsical- "they rock," as one of my young women acquaintances said. Just two drawbacks: I don't think they will wear for a long time, and the support could be a little firmer. But that won't keep me from acquiring my third pair soon! The new fall colors are much more attractive to a woman in her prime than were the neon summer versions.

Truly the best - The Niro is one of the most comfortable shoes I own. I generally wear New Balance sneakers but wanted something a little more stylish. These fit the bill and then some. My foot is wide with a high inseam and the fit is great.

Extraordinary customer service! I bought these shoes a while back. Love them but the strap broke last weekend. I just called Zappos and they are sending me out a new pair today, not even requesting I get them the broken shoes (and worn to boot) before they ship the new ones. Who else would do this? Noone I know.

Purple Allrounder - Love the color and the look. I have several pairs of Mephisto's and think they are great shoes, well worth the price. The Allrounder offers a great alternative to boring old tennis shoes.

Great Shoe for Walking - I get so many complements on this shoe. Very cute and very comfortable. True to size. I did find that the inside label crumbled after one wear. This didn't affect the comfort, however, it is a small shortcoming for the shoe. Would like a pair in each color, but I will be happy with the red.

Adjustable heel a boon for narrow feet! I bought this shoe because it A. came in orange (!) and B. has an adjustable strap at the back, which is terrific for my narrow, narrow, narrow heels. The shoe is well cushioned and very comfy, although I will caution that it is high around the ankle bone and take break-in time (and socks) to avoid chafing & blisters in that area. Also, orange suede it cute but scuffs very easily (I am guessing it's not pre-treated at all). Be sure to use suede protectant!

Mephisto disappearing! I was shocked to find that this super comfortable shoe's label inside the shoe that extends through the toe space is rubbing off! The L shoe bed is almost completely rubbed off after only 2 days wear and the right is partially gone. I discovered it simply because I felt something rubbing my toes. It was the "rubber" labeling that beading up under my toes. The heel "Mephisto" label is gone. I hate to say it, but if I pay this much for a shoe, at least they could provide a more permanent label. At first I thought maybe they were "knock offs", but, I purchased them at a reputable store. Otherwise, they are very comfortable, plenty of toe room, etc. Great for traveling so far. Now, I have to contend with the beading up until it is all gone. Shame on Mephisto!

Good but not great comfort - Overall they are very good looking shoes and they never smell even though I always wear them without socks!!! I have problems with my feet so I have to say that after wearing them for a while, my toes do start hurting even though they do not with Rockports. The inside lining started coming off just with one wear. I don't know at this point if I would spend that much money on them again.

I usually wear an 8M or 81/2N, but this was the size available, and they were too big and too wide. I figured with my orthotics they would be fine. Sadly, they just weren't comfortable, and I really need a shoe I can wear all day, and can travel in (when that becomes a thing).

Was excited about these shoes. They looked like just what I wanted but weren't. They are very nice looking, but seem to run a bit large. The heel is not as high as it suggests in the photos. I need some heel height. So they're going back.

I tried this shoe in both an 8.5 and a 9. The shoe just seemed very long. Strap hit too close to ankle for me and left a rather large front area. I did like the look of the shoe, sporty, good sole. But, just too long for me.

I ordered a 9, which I usually wear. Nice alternative to tennis shoes, sporty. Just was long in the toe area. The strap is set a bit too close to ankle for me and left a rather large hole in front of the strap.

The pictured color (dark red) for ocean/fume is incorrect. This color is very dark navy, almost black.

I wear a 7M with no foot problems, but these cute, well-made shoes were both too wide and too high--there was a gap between the top of my feet, the sides of my feet, and the shoes. The length and heel width seemed true to size. The removable insole seemed cheap and shoddy--like it was made out of a piece of cardboard. So despite needing a good walking shoe for New York City next month, and liking the "looks" of the shoe itself, due to the odd sizing and the cheap insole, these are going back.
