OK ... After repeatedly complaining to Zappo's reps about the lack of mfg quality control and inability to make the exact same shoe , the exact same physical dimension , twice in a row , I am now praying that this mfg can get it right ... This Spira CloudWalker , size 13-6E , fits me perfectly and with with welcomed comfort out of the box ... I have yet to try my personal support insoles , they feel that good .. I am ordering another pair asap , in a different color , hoping that this mfg gets my previous complaint corrected ...

Great fit. Total comfort and support with long walks or treadmill. There's something going on with their WaveSpring technology that really seems to work. Puts me in a very balanced neutral stance. Tried 12 other brands/model and nothing else is as comfortable. Wish they made an easy strap closure model.

These were the most expensive shoes I have ever bought from Zappos but I liked the style and was very pleased when I tried them on. Size and width were perfect for my 14 / 4E feet. Very comfortable to walk in them.

Pretty darn impressive. They use a technology for the footbed that seems quite different than everyone else. The results confirm that. Very comfortable. Puts my body in a very neutral position for walking.

I’m now several months into my first pair of these shoes. They have become the primary walking shoes for my 4E high instep, narrow heel, orthotic assisted feet. They are a bit heavier than my Asics athletic shoes, but are very comfortable for all day wear. Note that I have removed the insoles and replaced with plain Dr Scholls pillow soles. I’ll buy these again.

I like these shoes, but they definitely have pros and cons. My favorite sports shoes for 4E feet are ASICS cross trainers. They are, unfortunately, no longer in production. I was fortunate enough to buy several pair before they disappeared. I now save them for sports so they last. So my hunt here was for a good every day walking shoe. This shoe is not perfect but, as of this week, it’s the best so far. Pros - Color- They are good looking. I bought the blue/white/silver shoe. When I first put it on it looked way to dark in the center, like saddle or golf shoes. The fault was the dark blue laces. I substituted light gray and they now look very stylish. Fit - still fooling with it. The insoles are flat, so they were wearable with my orthotics. But the feel while walking was a bit strange and the memory foam was pushed unevenly by my foot and orthotic. Now, they are gone, replaced by my always dependable Dr. Scholls pillow insoles. No rubbing, good width, I can wear them all day and my feet are not hurting. My back is OK too. Cons They are a bit heavy. However, since I am not wearing them for sports, this doesn’t bother me. They seem a bit warm. However, it’s summer now and my feet don’t sweat in them any more than normal. Nice mesh uppers probably help. They were initially a bit stiff, and could be more flexible. I feel like I am working them in and gradually we will get to a good spot together. Not quite there yet. I don’t get the spring thing. I don’t feel that at all. They are not as springy as my ASICs, but better than a pair of Orthofeet I tried which had no bounce at all. In both cases I did not use their insoles. Pricey- They are relatively expensive but look and feel like they are made very well. We fat footers can’t be too choosy. So, overall, I’m happy. Since I bought from Zappos and have worn them outside, I can’t return them. However, I don’t think they will join the many pairs of shoes I have thrown out because I just couldn’t make them work. These appear to be keepers and, if my luck holds out, I might even try a second pair. However, I would not recommend them for active sports.

This shoe has a nice design, and was comfortable on my feet in terms of support, but found it to be quite warm to wear.

Honestly, I was nervous about spending this amount of money on a shoe. But you DO get what you pay for. The high quality of the shoe's construction is apparent immediately. I wear custom inserts. The first thing I did was to test the shoe by walking around the house. The shoe felt comfortable and supportive without inserts. That was a first. My plan is wear them in a little more at work, then hit the area paved trail system. Am curious to see how they do in cold and wet conditions.

Wonderful sneakers, they are about the most comfortable I've ever had. Why only 4 stars overall? For the most minor of reasons. Those steel springs make it great. it also sets off the metal detectors in the airport!!! Still, I'm buying more of them.

I bought these to compare them to a pair of Gravity Defyers that I had also recently purchased. The G-Defy is a quality shoe but uses coil-type springs in the heel and, consequently, the heel portion of the sole protrudes about a quarter of an inch. This tends to raise the heel and put more body weight forward. I didn't find this to be a deal-breaker but it does take some getting used to. The Spira shoe, on the other hand, was quite comfortable from the very first wearing and took no adjusting to or breaking in. My only complaint is that a removable insole would be nice for those of us who require the addition of an orthotic. I would highly recommend these shoes.

I was very disappointed with these shoes considering how well they have been reviewed. I bought a pair of 11 4E, and the fit was pretty close to other 4E shoes I've owned. I thought they felt a tad bit wider than my Asics or Nikes but just by a little bit. Honestly, these felt like walking with wood or bricks tied to my feet. They were super heavy, hot, and uncomfortable. The insoles that come in these are an absolute joke for a +$100 pair of shoes. I'd left them in just during my initial try-on and when I took them out my foot indentations were in them for an hour. Yes, I tried them on, walked around my carpeted apartment for a minute or so, and immediately took those out to put in my custom orthotics. I tried to take these to work where I'd be able to test them on a concrete floor. I went for a 20 minute walk and could barely making it back up the stairs. Upon arriving at my desk, I took them off and my feet hurt for quite a while afterwards. Cloudwalkers? Must be clouds full of hail because these shoes were terrible 100% of the time. Currently returning. Maybe a got a lemon of a pair because I did not have anything close to the experience that other reviewers here had left for these shoes.

Received in unacceptable condition. I have purchased these shoes before and loved them. Upon opening the box, I could immediately tell this was a returned item. One shoe with no paper packing on the inside was a little smushed in and also had grains of sand on the bottom. The paper packing that was inside the box was worn and torn. I'm returning this item and will be ordering directly from Spira.

Returning this order. Never tried it on. This item was received in unacceptable condition. It was obvious to this was a returned item. No tissue paper in one shoe. the tissue paper in the box was worn and torn. The top form of the shoe with no tissue paper inside was a little mashed in. One shoe had some grains of sand on bottom. Slight smudge on the white part of one shoe. I've previously purchased these shoes and they were in perfect condition so I know what to expect. These shoes didn't look fresh.
