I have two pair of the previous year Pro/SL golf shoes which prompted me to step up to the Pro/SL Carbon. I have tried other golf shoes and in my opinion no other golf shoe provides the quality, support, and comfort the FootJoy brand does. My previous shoe brands left my feet hurting & sore after the end of a golf round, which lead me originally to the DryJoys. I purchased DryJoys annually up until two years ago. Once I saw the new Pro/SL version i knew i had to purchase a pair to try. I shortly purchased a second pair because of the performance, comfort, and support they provided right out of the box. I like the feel of the soft leather uppers and the support from the insoles/soles. To be fair, I have only worn the new Pro/SL Carbon golf shoes once but was not disappointed with the comfort and support they provided.

Very nice fitting golf shoes. I have a very wide foot and needed golf shoes that would be good for walking. They are excellent and just as good as having the soft spikes, works great.

Have a pair of Footjoy Flex that I really like, and thought I would try the Pro SL Carbon for more stability. I have a really wide foot and wear the Footjoy extra-wide size. Fits perfect on the Flex, but the width of the shoe on the Pro SL Carbon is not the same footprint and slightly narrower. Took me walking 18 holes about three different times to finally break in the shoe, and it fits fine now.
Otherwise, the most comfortable and cushy golf shoe I have ever worn! Performance is excellent, and again are very comfortable. Too early to tell on durability, but I suspect that would be fine.
This shoe is the bomb. Highly recommend.

I've worn these shoes through the summer and they are very comfortable and a joy to wear.
The one drawback is, I wore them last week, early one morning in very dewy damp conditions, but not raining. By the end of the round, my feet were soaking. Definitely not waterproof!

The shoes look and feel great. I only have 1 round in so far and by the end of the round they felt more comfortable then when I started. I thought I noticed a bit of separation between shoe and sole in one spot but am not sure if that is the way they are built or not. I'm hoping to get a few more rounds in this season and I'm sure any issues with the shoes will become evident. If there are none, I will revise to 5 stars then!

This is a great shoe, very well made. Very good looking shoe with nice comfort features. I did have to return it because of sizing. I have a hard time finding a Footjoy shoe that fits. They usually are too long and too narrow.#sweepstakes

First of all this is an awesome shoe, but the carbon in the sole made it very stiff. I walked around the house thinking they would get more flexible and they did some but I did not want to take a chance and try to work them in while playing golf. That game is hard enough!!

Lack of eyelets means constant retightening.

Not enough eyelets for the lacing. Leaves a loose fit and requires constant retightening.

I was very surprised the first time I wore these shoes on the course. I got a big blister on my right heel (left heel was fine). First time having any fit problems right out of the box with any of over a dozen prior Footjoy shoes, including an older pair of the regular Pro S/L (not Carbon model). When inspecting the inside of the heel liner, I can see a wear mark already developing, which corresponds to where my heel rubs. When comparing this Carbon model shoe to other Footjoys I have, including other year non-Carbon Pro S/L, the heel liner on all those others is cushioned and goes all the way up to the inside of the shoe to the top of the heel. This model shoe has a hard liner that goes part way up the heel and then transitions to a cushioned cuff at the top of the heel. There is stitching at the interface of hard bottom liner to cushioned cuff. I don't know if it's the hard liner, the transition to a different cuff material or the stitching at the interface which is causing the problem. Or maybe it's the carbon liner in the sole (which makes the shoe stiffer) which causes more friction at the heel. I should mention I've been able to heavily bandage the blister and still wear these shoes without further discomfort. I'll wait to see how they feel once the blister heals. Still, I'm disappointed that I've had a problem with this specific model of shoe after good experiences with so many previous pairs of Footjoys. It seems for future year models of Pro S/L's, it would be best to go back to a cushioned liner that goes all the way up to the top of the heel without interruption.

Shoes are generally comfortable but would be even more comfortable with the soft rubber diamond designs on some of your other shoes rather than the plastic feeling Golf spikes. These make the bottom stuffed and less comfortable wearing the shoes.

I previously reviewed these but FJ keeps sending me emails to review. This is only my second pair of spikeless golf shoes and these have way more traction than my previous Nike ones. I ordered the wide size and these shoes run quite wide. I could have probably got away with the standard ones. The shoes are super nice quality, but as others have mentioned, will destroy your heels. I have played about 8 rounds with them and they still rub my heels, although caluses are starting to form. One of my playing partners who recommended them, also said it took a long time to break in and stop causing blisters. Other than that, the shoes are comfortable and the all black colour profile is great. They should make more shoes in all black to avoid the grass stains.

The shoe quality is great. Very comfortable, stable, and has decent traction. This is only my second spikeless shoes, but it offers significantly more traction than my previous spikeless nike shoes. The issue with the shoes is the same as many have mentioned, the thing really wears on your heel. I have played 3 rounds with these shoes and although comfortable and easy to walk in, they destroy the back of your heel, even with high, thicker, athletic socks.

Unfortunately I had to return these. Standing in these they are very comfortable. I walked around the house and both my heels slipped. I believe the heel cups are too big for my heels. I hate these didn't work.

Sorry but the shoe did not fit well, so I returned them. Footjoy were great as they provided a return shipping label and once they received the shoes back, they promptly refunded me.

I've owned many pairs of the SL Carbon and Carbon BOA shoes. Like the headline says, "They are my favorite fitting spikeless shoe." My complaints would be the quality of the leather and durability. For being a $210-240 shoe, this shoe has the absolute cheapest quality leather. You can treat it with creams or lotions and it won't make a difference. It lacks suppleness and will eventually look like crinkled tissue paper the more it breaks in. Lastly, for some reason, the shoe shows age relatively quickly. If you play often, they will look terrible within a 6 weeks. I recently went to a store with a pair for defects and they weren't going to take them because they looked dusty and creased (right foot). The right foot shoe was definitely more creased (upper) than the left looked more broken in.
They tried to say they looked 'extremely worn'. They were only a month old, the spikes were perfect, and the shoes looked a little dusty because of a California drought. Lastly, the shoe definitely feels stiffer, feels like it has less cushion, and the upper isn't as structured as the previous model. This may be due to the introduction of the elastic eyelets replacing the plastic eyelets of the older model (BOA).
Would I recommend them to a friend, NO. Would I buy them again, yes. For now, they are still my favorite fitting spikeless golf shoe.
