bought these and the advice was to size up, dont. either hiking socks they are snug enough to stop your feet moving around in them without being tight - haven't tested the gtx yet

Second pair of free hiker boots. the last ones lasted 4 years of regular autumn and winter use so hoping the same for these.

So far so good. Ended up walking the dogs through a bog and my socks stayed dry.

I've been using these boots daily since purchase (minimim three miles a day and some longer hikes). After some initial breaking-in, the boots feel very comfortable (particularly important for me as I have plantar fasciitis). They look great, provide plenty of ankle support, and have faced muddy and wet conditions - including the challenge of rain and wet grass! They have remained fully waterproof and warm. Really impressed so far!

I love these shoes, I have the high tops pictured with the gore tex and also the low top versions both with gore tex and without. What's all the fuss about? Its the boost sole. Supremely soft and comfortable, making walking on both hard surfaces and dirt trails so much easier on your feet, and the feeling is a much more capable shoe, providing you with the confidence your wearing some of the best hiking or off trail shoes around. Get them. you want be disappointed. They're really that good.

The Adidas Terrex Free Hiker 2.0 has been a great pick for me. The fit is excellentsecure without feeling tightand it really molds well to the foot. On top of that, they're very comfortable, even during long walks and all-day wear. Lightweight, supportive, and stylish. Definitely worth it if you're looking for a reliable hiking shoe that feels good right out of the box.

Great boot for someone looking for a fast boot that can stand the elements. This boot is perfect for the late fall to early spring to keep you moving. I wear trail shoes most of the time but these are great for when the weather gets harsh and you need more protection.
