I use this pair of socks during the winter months while working on a lobster boat. They stay in place on my foot while working and keep my feet warm, in insulated boots, most of the year.

In the cold, you really need the right equipment and these socks are your ticket to not having cold feet (heh!) when running outdoors in the cold weather. They keep my feet effortlessly warm without overheating. Perfect.

Hicking in national parks

Cannot wear any other socks!!! I use partial cushion for regular days in crocks or sport shoes, zero cushion for biking, hiking, snowboarding, or even with dress shoes!

I bought this last winter, and found very good for winter run. So, I decided to give me second one, which is also excellent. I always put this on very cold winter day.

While I have been using this socks from last winter, I feel like to buy a spare for this winter. So, i bought this, different color I had before. This is also nice and make my running days happier.

My favorite winter running socks. I purchased 3 pair of different colors. They stay on your feet and don't slip around. Keep my ankles warm and look nice.

Nice quality like all the Smartwool socks I have purchased. They don't seem to be significantly heavier than their regular cushion socks though. I would not consider these cold weather socks.
