very comfortable

Asics are the only sneakers I feel comfortable in. These are no different. I can walk in them all day. Toe box is a bit roomy, but that is better than not enough room. Especially on a long walk.

I am in need of walking shoes that are supportive for suppination, and these came up when I searched for such. Now, I have short, frog-shaped feet...narrow heel, wide toe and high arch. Generally wear a 6.5 - 7 W or WW. When these arrived, I put on the left foot...oh, very nice. I was hopeful. Put on the right shoe and it pinched my little toe a bit (to be fair, I broke that toe 40ish years ago and it is a little non-standard). But the more I walked around in them, the more it rubbed on the toe and pinched in my forefoot. I also have Morton's Neuromas, and the toe box was putting just enough pressure on that toe that I felt the pinch in the middle. I was sad, because the length was perfect and the soles were comfy and supportive. But I couldn't deal with the potential painful pinching. I took them off and tried them again later, but the pinching set in even quicker. They were very, very close...but just didn't work.

Comfortable right out of the box. These shoes are a good basic walking/running shoe with good cushion and support. No break in period needed

I ordered these in my usual size of 8.5 medium width. The shoes themselves look nice and are very comfortable. Unfortunately I have an issue with the right shoe - it's a bit too wide for my foot. This is the first time I've had this problem with Asics. 8.5 is always a little big on my feet but size 8 is always too small. Too bad manufacturers don't make 1/4 sizes.

I ordered my regular size 8.5 and I got both a regular and wide width to compare. The regular width would have worked OK but snug, and I would hope for it to stretch out to comfy. The wide was more comfy right from the start. Plenty of toe and instep room. Very good arch support, I wear over-the-counter orthotics for other brands and I will not need them for this pair. I wore them all day with not-thick socks and glad I chose the wide to wear. Asics have been my go-to shoe for 10+ years now and I always recommend them to others.

Typical Asics Fit ( I wear a 9 in other shoes, 9 1/2 in Asics ). Show is a bit stiff, but it is breaking in. Good overall fit. Will be a good walking shoe. Overall a good value for Asics.

overall I liked these shoes, but for me the Asics Excite 6 just was a bit more comfortable. The heel padding and the padding in the shoe was just slightly better. If you like a bit firmer - or maybe if you are more of a runner, then these may be better. I am getting shoes for walking, so I kept the Excite 6 instead.

I thought at first they were too big, but the toe box is narrow enough that this ended up being the right size. Toe box could be wider. Shoelaces are too long. Because I use orthotics I took out the footbed, which had no arch support anyway. Comfortable and functional.

These shoes are true size they don’t slide on my narrow heel. It’s more navy blue than black.

I wear a size 9.5 Wide in the Gel-Venture 6. I ordered this shoe (Gel-Venture 7) in the same size. Compared to the Gel-Venture 6, the Gel-Venture 7 toe bed runs narrow.

I gave the ASICS Gel-Venture 7 a try to switch up my go to Onitsuka Tigers - Ultimate 81and New Balance WL574. For my wide feet that like good arch support the Gel-Venture 7 were great. I found the toe box a little wider than the Ultimate 81and a bit longer than the NBWL574. The arch support was not quite as good as the Ultimate 81, similar to the NBWL574. I liked the color combo black and silver(not a true black or silver, looks like the picture online).

The shoes fit well and have good support. The only issue I have is that in daylight they look purple, not black.

The toe box is too big, love the "chili" color, shoe laces are very thin and replaced with a more substantial laces. I will keep them, just wish the fit did not feel so loose, width wise.

I've been wearing Asics GEL for several years now. I change them out every 6 months. What I like about them is the fact that I can take out the innersole (which frankly has little support for me) and then I can put in my own orthotic to improve the arch support. There are a lot of active wear shoes now that have glued in cheap innersoles. If you purchase one of these to put in your own orthotic you have to rip out the innersole which then leave a glue residue - UGH. Asics GEL gives me a clean option. I also like the different colors.

This shoe looks good and love the color. If you want arch support and cushioning...these aren't for you.

I always wear this brand and I felt this style ran a bit smaller than previous pairs. I have returned and ordered a half size up.

Ordered these but unfortunately had to send them back. While they were very comfortable, there was not enough arch support for my foot. Wished they could have worked. Thank you Zappos for your great return policy. That's why I continue to buy shoes from Zappos.

Felt great the first 2 times I wore them. I wore them with and without my inserts for plantar fasicitis, not much room if you don't remove the shoe's inserts. The 3rd time I wore them without my insert my small toe began to hurt. It appears there is a seam of some sort that presses up against my toe on the left foot.
