I'm sure they're great for most people (as they'd always been for me, until now), but I have some random & specific feedback that could posssssibly help someone else out there -- the front/toe part does not fit the same as previous models. I've been wearing the gel-contends for 14 years now, ever since I was fitted for them at a running store. I always reorder and don't care which model/version they are, since I can never tell the difference and they're always reliable, regardless. This time I ordered the Gel-Contend 8, and my toes slide forward after taking just one step. I tried with my orthotics in, orthotics out, orthotics + the included insert, tried my usual lace tightness, and also the tightest they would go... and still the same issue. (And of course this was my usual size, so no error there.) I also ordered 2 pairs of these, so it wasn't just a one-off, either. I checked my previous email receipts, and I've had nearly all of the previous models/versions up to Gel-Contend 7, so there's never been an issue until model 8. I had an extra pair of new ones in my closet (model 4) and those fit like usual, so nothing has changed with my feet. Suuuper weird problem to arise, but I had to return both of the Gel-Contend 8s that I ordered. I actually took a comparison picture (pre-step vs. post-step wearing the shoes) because my mom wears the same ones and I was explaining my confusion/frustration with her. I've been searching high and low for previous models/versions (anything Gel-Contend 7 and earlier) but I can't find them anywhere [even searched the resale websites, but no one has unworn ones in a "normal" color that are my size (which is 9.5, so not anything rare)]. I don't know if there's a way to contact me, but if anyone finds where to get some, please let me know!!! Like I mentioned, I've been wearing these same shoes for over 14 years, and I'd hate to switch now, but it looks like I might have to.

Super cushy and comfy! I have one problem foot, and it really eases my discomfort.

Not as cushy as I would have liked. That being said, I've worn them without getting blisters right from the start, so that's a plus. Overall, I didn't pay very much for them; you get what you pay for. I do love Asics, though. I find they're the shoes I hate to part with the most and hang onto the longest.

Love these sneakers, they're very lightweight and super comfortable.

I have five pairs of these shoes I would completely live in them all the time if I could I wear them to work I match up my clothes for the gym they're the best tennis shoes I've ever owned

Absolutely love these shoes they are true to size, very comfortable, stylish and my go to for work and the weekend. I own several pairs and have told my friends and family about them. From now on i will be buying these shoes. The best hands down even for the gym.

Love the look of these and that they are super comfortable and light!

With my balance and foot issues, these are the only shoes that let me walk with comfort and security.

As a nurse, I am on my feet a lot during my 12 hr shifts. I have tried many different brands of shoes over the years, but I always return to Asics. The comfort & durability is what brings me back time and again.

I love Asics. I really like these and love the blue. They were comfortable right out of the box. I have a narrow foot, and they still fit really well. I may add arch support later but I've been wearing these without issue. I hope the cloth toe is more durable than the light blue pair I had.

Love these! First I love the color. Second is the comfort. The fit is perfect. Quality construction. Nothing feels cheap about this show. Sole is well made and secure. Being lightweight is a huge plus.

Supportive but not clunky or heavy. A great balance.

Not true to size. Gorgeous color but I ordered a 9 and it feels like a 10 and wearing them has destroyed my feet and Im frustrated that I cant exchange for a different size.

Shoes are not supportive no gel cushion and they squeak when walking. The sole is like plastic.

Great walking shoes..very comfortable and light. No breaking in time was needed. Worked well on uneven and rocky surfaces on my recent trip to Sicily.

I am a New Balance wearer. I saw these online and really liked them, so I gave them a try. I am not a runner but need good shoes because I have issues with me feet. So far have been very pleased.

I have several Asics. These were of low quality and the left shoe was cut improper

I ordered my normal size, 9W, and these felt too short. Unfortunately, the 9.5 W was actually worse and really hurt my feet.

The sole of the shoe is not supportive enough for walking more than 10k steps, but the shoe overall is okay.
