It is a cute umbrella for a normal rainy day. A little small for a lot of rain, but that doesn't happen often where we live.

I live in an area where it seldom rains, but when it does, it POURS. However, a couple weeks ago we had a cold front... with it brought 30F temp with gusty, misty rain. It was not raining hard but the wind was strong. It could have been the way I held the umbrella but I did feel like myself and the umbrella were struggling with the wind. I did feel like it almost could have made the umbrella flip up. So I walked cautiously into my work building holding on to it. In the midst of all that chaos, coworkers thought the umbrella was very cute, as it really is. And I feel this would be an excellent umbrella for rain when gusty winds aren't involved. I would definitely seek a different kind of umbrella for climates where it tends to rain often and winds are strong.

Very nicely made umbrella. It's grest for the grandchildren who have difficulty closing a regular one. At the sale price I ordered four. Would have given it 5 stars however on my phone the color looked more in the reds rather than the pink.

Functionally perfect but not real happy with the Nomadic 'Floral' design. I had expected the two small circles of different colors to have pedaled edges or shaped to look more 'floral' as in the name. Instead they are what you see, just two small circles of different colors.

I like the umbrella. It is easy to use, but I do not like the snap closure. First of all, I have not seen those snaps in at least a decade. They break off very easily and become unusable. Hook and loop closures work so much better. The umbrella, however, is exactly what I needed.

I was informed at least three days later that the houndstooth pattern I ordered was no longer in stock. I could not find out from c.s. rep whether it would ever be in stock again, discontinued, etc. So I ordered a different pattern because I was desperate to replace. Haven't had much chance to use, but think functionality will be fine and hope it will last 12 yrs like my old one. I like this pattern but would LOVE the houndstooth.

This is a nice umbrella because the color pattern is not too feminine. My husband doesn't mind using it. The nicest feature is that the button on the handle works to both open and close the umbrella.

I purchased the umbrellas for my young daughters so they are perfect for their size, but in my opinion they are a little on the small side for adults. They are a little pricey for an umbrella, but the patterns are fun and they love them.

First couple of uses, difficult to open and close, I was actually going to get rid of it. I tried it again and decided to keep it - it was much easier to open and close after a few uses. The small size fits nicely into many bags. It's also good as an extra umbrella to keep in the car. Not good in wind. Best for light rain showers. I'd give it a 3.5 score overall but had to pick between 3 and 4 and it's slightly closer to a 4.

We don't get many rainy days here in Colorado, so I don't really need a heavy duty umbrella. If I did, I probably wouldn't have bought this one. This is great for using occasionally, however I'm not sure it would hold up if I used it all the time. I like this umbrella mostly because it stands out. I have it in Va Va Bloom and it really brightens up a grey rainy day.

I bought an umbrella in store on Sunday July 4th. As I opened it to use it for the first time this Friday, July 9th, it did not stay open completely and it will not close properly. The button does not work at all so I'm not sure of what to do.

I was looking for the miniature umbrella. This is a regular size. The pattern is larger on this as well.

Love the pattern on the umbrella but the umbrella itself does not open and close properly. The button often sticks and umbrella doesn't fully open

I bought this product for myself to use on trips. I loved the colors on the umbrella but when I received the product, it was not the desgin that I ordered. I calked and they replaced it but it ended up being the same thing that I originally ordered. I would love it if they would have posted this design in advance before I ordered.

The day I bought the umbrella it was raining outside and windy. When I opened the umbrella it was kind of small. The frame was somewhat flimsy. The umbrella shook all over when the wind blew. Although it's very cute I don't think I would buy another one.

I have the new umbrella design in Tutti Frutti. My mom has the umbrella in a pattern from a few years back, Safari Sunset. There is a noticeable difference in quality. For example, the handle on my mom's is metal; mine's plastic. When you open my mom's umbrella, the mechanisms are strong - it springs outward with a little force and opens all the way after pressing the button. Mine's weaker - it opens halfway when you press the button, and then stops, meaning you have to open it the rest of the way yourself. However, my new umbrella is still very nice. It does a good job keeping the rain off my head, looks cute, opens every time I press the button, the closing strap seems well-attached, and it came with a matching cover. I'm not sorry that I got it, and I would recommend it over a cheap-o one. Had I never known what the past umbrellas were like, I would love it. But since I know and was looking forward to getting one exactly like my mom's, I'm a little disappointed.

I received this umbrella as a birthday gift after a long wait. I do really love how it looks. The colors are bright and vibrant. It folds up beautifully, and is about the perfect size, both when opened and when closed. HOWEVER, it is most definitely not super hight quality. At all. It doesn't open smoothy, and I always have to fix the little hinges. I can use it for now, but I don't expect it to last through the next rainy season.

I really like the idea of the three umbrellas purchased matching with my other items but...so far I've only used one a couple times and in a hurry to close during a storm getting in my vehicle inadvertently grabbed higher than the small fingerhold pulling downward to lock in place. This resulted in my hand and fingers being paper sliced all over in several strips. I was unaware until seeing blood on console and steering wheel! Its difficult at times to pull down and I grabbed with hand instead which was a big mistake. I have inspected the other two unused ones and they also seem sorta sharp edged but not quite as sharp as the one that caused a rush to clean up while on my way to an appointment. Due to the timeframe from purchase to awareness of this possible issue on the first two (FS Tropics Tapestry) I haven't attempted to return but I am debating about the third (FS Toucan Party). If not I will have to be careful not to repeat this issue and forego using the finger hold to close. Otherwise they are nice looking and sized. Just need a better coating on the splines that can be inadvertently grabbed when closing.

Not very sturdy. Do not use if there is a breeze!

I've had this umbrella for less than a year and it has already broken on me TWICE. The first time was within 45 days, so my local store was willing to replace it. That time my umbrella flat out would not open. This time it's been seven months and now my umbrella will not stay open. It's definitely not worth the money if it won't even last a year!

I received this umbrella as a gift. Used only a couple of times and umbrella would not stay open. I just spoke to a customer service rep and I will be receiving a replacement. However, after reading these reviews, I can only hope that the replacement will be of better quality.

I have mixed feelings about my new umbrella. I love the pattern, and the size is perfect to fit in my new shoulder bag which I purchased in the same pattern. I don't believe it will hold up well with much use however. If you live in a rainy climate this umbrella is not for you. I have yet to get it to automatically close as the instructions say it should. Have had to close it manually myself. I use it mostly to stay out of the sun so will keep it.

i bought to match my tote and lunch tote because i like to be coordinated unfortunately the quality i not very good it broke after the second use.

I agree with the other reveiwer... beautiful, but too flimsy. I used it for the first time a day ago while it was sprinkling and a rather weak gust of wind almost turned it inside out.
