I've been running for 30 years, less now that I'm older and dealing with limiting Achilles tendinosis, but I need to run enough to keep doing triathlons. It used to be impossible to find a shoe with a wide enough toe box, enough of a heel to toe drop but not too much, and enough cushioning but not so much that I felt like running on marshmallows. Enter the Topo Ultrafly. This shoe checks all of my boxes, and it's "just right" for my feet and running needs.

Love these and the roomy toebox is great for my bunions. Very comfortable. Will be purchasing more shoes from topo.

I actually use these for my boot camp HIIT, strength, and speed/agility classes and LOVE them! I have had several foot issues, due to sports and dance. I have exposed to nerves, but your nets, numbness in my feet, the list goes on. These are by far the most wonderful shoes I have ever worn for a workout. Every part of my foot feels secure, properly cushioned, and even supports my incredibly high arch. My feet don't slip when I'm going side to side and they look really awesome too!

I prefer a minimalistic shoe with a little cushioning. These strike the right balance. I've had them for about 2 mos and they are still in great shape. I use them on dirt and paved roads.

I wear my Topos for walking. My ingrown nails have gotten so much better since I started wearing Topos. My toes have room to straighten out in these shoes.

I love the room in the toe box and at the same time, the secure feel on my heel.

The toe box is so roomy. I never knew what a benefit this is! The shoes are super comfortable. I wear them walking the halls of a high school all day!

Mostly just for walking

They are my everyday runner. My podiatrist recommended them for the wide toe box and have not had any foot issues since wearing these. On my second pair.

I bought the ultrafly-4 8/23 and the version 3 sometime before (I don't have a record). The 3 version was my first pair of topo because I read about the roomy toe box and I have a terrible bunion on my left foot which makes my big toe cross over my other toes. I can't wear most shoes, some sandals and topos. I used to be a runner, but at 67 I now walk a lot and do lots of aerobics. These have helped alleviate most of my issues, but it's still hard to get the right fit. I am not sure 8.5 W is ok.

I use them for everything. I live in them all day, and walk and low level hike in them.
