Like other reviewers, just a short time into owning these shoes (2 months with extremely light wear, maybe a dozen walks and one run), the rubber tip has started to come unglued from the shoe. I was really excited about these because I *love* the wide toe box. Hokas are great for my arches, but not wide enough. I bought these "used" in perfect condition from REI, so Topo will not provide a remedy for the poor construction. I am wary of buying a pair for running because of the construction issues.

I purchased previously the Phantom 2 in a 10.5 and the fit was perfect with room to spare for the toes. The Ultrafly 4 I recently purchased was 1 full size smaller and my toes bumped into the front of the shoe and causes my toes to jam. There is a very large inconsistency in the TOPO Quality Control and I will not purchase this brand again. I walked around my apartment to test but the TRUE test in on the road and this shoe failed miserably. I feel if TOPO actually reads this review I Deserve a New pair in size 11.

Since my injury in 2022, this particular brand of Topo Ultrafly4 is the only shoe I have been able to wear. I have bought many pairs not only because it is the best color but it is really the best shoe. Because of the color people ask me all the time what they are and where to buy. Most recently in the airport a woman took out a notepad while we were boarding and wrote down the information for herself and a sibling with mobility issues. I sadly had to tell her there are no more as they are changing model and color. I have scoured the internet and bought up every size 8 in the wine color I can find. I have emailed the company and they have no back stock. It is disappointing when something that is already so good changes. Please keep this style, stability and color.

This show is my daily trainer, and it works much better to support my unstable ankle than any other shoeI have tried. I love the wide toe box and the locked-in heel. I have a problem with a lot of other shoe brands that are meant for people with high volume feet. While I have to cinch my Topos down quite a bit to fit my low volume feet, the shoe still fits well and isn't distorted by being cinched down. I like that the upper is soft and flexible, but isn't one of those "sock-like," unstructured uppers. Please do not ever change this shoe! #sweepstakes

I really love these shoes and more importantly Topo's customer support. I initially struggled with excessive heel slip and received some clear/honest feedback as well as some great future product recommendations. After trial and error, I've finally figured out the right way to utilize lace locking with the upper two holes. My only complaint is that the back of the heels of the shoes both have ripped fabric, likely due to the wear and tear from the heel slip issue. Although this makes sense, they developed within a month of wear which is a little disappointing given the cost. Not a deal breaker for me and something I can work with, though! Will definitely purchase Topo's again in the future.

This is my 3rd pair of Topo Ultrafly. I have their trail shoe as well. Good fit with a wider toe box. 5mm stack is my sweet spot.

There are several shoe companies that say they have a roomy toe box. Yes, their toe box isn't that cute little point that no one's feet make, but Topo shoes really have a roomy toe box.

I've been a runner for 16 years, and have an extensive list of overuse injuries to my resume that includes stress fractures, regular fractures, plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendonitis, and IT band syndrome. You name it, I've had it. While I'm not suggesting that this shoe will cure all ails, I will say that I haven't so much as had a blister in these. The wide toe box is roomy enough to accommodate my witch feet (bunions) while the midfoot/heel is snug enough to keep them secure and avoid the dreaded sliding sensation that comes with buying a wider size. They're perfectly cushioned, but are streamlined enough to maintain a good level of responsiveness to conditions underfoot. I will say that I likely need more stability than the shoes offer, as I significantly over-pronate, but this is easily remedied with some aftermarket insoles. In all my years of running, I've never found a pair of shoes I've had zero complaints with until I discovered Ultraflys. I wear them to work, and receive compliments about them daily. For what you pay, they deliver fantastic results and decent longevity before the nagging feet and leg pains alert you that you need a new pair. Since I stumbled upon these at my local Fleet Feet, I've owned 5 pairs, and scour the internet weekly to find more. Alas, the secret's out and they've become too popular, so I'll have to wait around for Topo to drop another model year.

I was having pain in my right foot, under the ball of my foot, when I would go for walks. I saw a podiatrist who said I likely had a morton's neuroma and she also watched me walk and said I overpronate and need stability shoes. I had bought the Phantom 3 already and was still having some trouble with my foot pain. But then I got these Ultrafly's- and they were amazing!! I don't really get the pain in my foot anymore when wearing them. The roomy toe box is great. I use these mainly for walking, occasionally for running, and took them hiking as well.

I was a little hesitant about the shape of the toe box but, once I put them on, I absolutely loved them. I do step aerobics several days a week and these really make sure I have the stability to do my routine. They are my favorite shoe( and I have many shoes). Depending on how my feet feel, I will switch shoes, randomly but these are my go to. I did take the insole out and replace with a superfeet insole, but I always do that. I don’t know if I would use this a running shoe but, for circuit training and other forms of exercise, that are awesome

I HAVE HAD MY ORTHODICS REFURBISHED AND MY FEET HURT AT THE END OF THE DAY. I SPOKE WITH AN ZAPPO AGENT AND SHE SUGGESTED THIS SHOE BECAUSE IF THE WIDE TOE BOX, THE EXTRA PADDING, AND A GOOD ARCH. I WEAR MY ORTHODIC UNDER THE INSOLE AND TODAY WAS THE FIRST DAY WITH MUCH LESS PAIN. I GUESS RYKA IS GONE AND TOPO IS MY SHOE.
