I love the wide toe box as I have wide feet. I went through 3 other different trail runners before I tried topo and I must say that they are amazing. I never tried zero drop shoes so I was a bit concerned if they would be comfortable but I was very surprised by the comfort of them. Also the cushioning is amazing as well as the grip on them. 10/10 product in my opinion!

I use my trail shoes on pretty flat trails that are rooty and can be pretty muddy. I also love the fact that even though you pay well for them I feel good about it because they hold up so much better than many other trail shoes I have used in the past. Keep up the good work! Thanks for a great shoe!

I'm on my feet all day as an instructor for a medical course. I stand on concrete and uneven terrain for 10 hours each day and these shoes are what I have been looking for. I finally come home without pain in my feet, knees and back. I'm already looking to buy another pair for daily use. It would be hard to wear any other brand now.

Like Magnifly for the trail. Roomy toe box, secure fit, zero drop, just right stack, just right cushion, great grip on sole. Perfect!

These shoes are amazingthey're the only shoe brand on the market that really accommodates a wide forefoot while also sporting superior durability. I mostly use them for trail running and hiking/scrambling. The secure fit around the heel is confidence inspiring, and consequently, my footwork has improved on long and technical downhills. Very much so the favorite shoe of my quiver!

Previous heavy Altra shoe user, but found that their shoes lacked durability for the rough enviroment that I run in. These pursuit shoes are a near perfect fit for my foot, with a secure heel, and wide toe box. They appear to be much more durable then their Altra counterparts, with over 250 miles on the shoes the uppers are still in great shape, although the tread is starting to flatten out a bit. I anticipate being able to use them for hiking and walking for some time still.

I wear my topo Pursuits on training runs on gravel and rock strewn trails at Palmer Park and Garden of the Gods, in Colorado Springs. I am seeing a few other runners wearing topo brand road and trail shoes. Last week I overheard two women share their positive reviews with each other. One said that her husband likes to wear his topo shoes on trail hikes, and I can understand why. I feel very confident running on irregularly surfaced trails; I've never lost my grip on uphills or downhills. I like the padding under foot very much in the Pursuit. For me it is a perfect blend of cushion and responsiveness: I can accelerate uphill, and run or brake downhill with equal comfort. #sweepstakes

I've put these through the test on some rugged Appalachian mountain trails and they are awesome! I do mostly fast-paced hiking, so having a rugged trail running shoe has been a must for me. I also use the gator on trails with lots of debris and like that I can easily take them on and off. #sweepstakes

#Sweepstakes I recently switched to zero drop and have wanted to get back into Topo for two years. I'm pleasantly surprised.

Topo's wide toe box is great. Totally sold on the fit and build quality. I loved everything about these shoes but found them fatiguing for trail walking as steeply upward-curving soles didn't allow my toes to engage. I found these shoes were happiest moving at a faster clip. After four miles on a trail, I couldn't wait to take them off. I was hoping to replace my Terraventure 3's with these, but will just buy another pair of TV3's. I really wanted to keep these but I just don't run anymore.
I'd also recommend:
Topo all the way!

Using these for a long distance hike. They are a lot sturdier than the Altras I’ve used for years and have a better sole that doesn’t wear out as quickly. Love that they are also zero drop and have a wide toe box.

I use em for everything. Not a runner, but active outdoors. Super comfortable. Zero drop has been my favorite since Merrell came out with their first barefoot models. Until I got these, my Altra Superior 5's were my favorite sneaker. These just kicked the Superiors to 2nd place. I'll keep buying Altra's, but the Pursuit has made me a lifelong Topo customer as well. Generous amount of cushion and the padded tongue and Ortholite insoles are the cherries on top. I got the blue and on the next payday... I'll be getting the olive ones as well! Bravo, Topo!

When other shoes don't fit my wide feet, these Topos are exceptionally comfortable and breathe. I hiked a technical route with snow, ice, mud, rock, dirt, and rock hopping, and under all conditions, these Pursuits out-performed hiking shoes costing 2x as much. I am *very* happy with these and will be looking forward to pushing my limits with them on my feet!

Like many others here, I had been exclusively using Altra shoes for the last 7 years (mainly their Superiors for trail, and Torins for road). They had a good thing going zero-drop and a wide-toe box were really a game-changer for me, and allowed me to pursue (pun) running as a hobby and advance my performance. Long story short, recent Altra models didn't fit me right. They got way more narrow (for some reason my left big toe would get pinched), and I was wearing them out more and more quickly. I randomly found Topo, these Pursuits being my first dive in. Sometimes you gamble and win! These really are exactly what I've been looking for. Everything's just right plenty of room for my toes (and yes, I'm Paul Bunioned out), the right amount of cushion, comfortable heel lock, and they have great grip -from dry-loose gravel, rocky ankle-breakers, to muddy swamp steppin slip n slide. They aren't too heavy, do a good job of thermo-regulating, and dry out pretty quickly. They've also endured more than 200 miles of mixed terrain so far and are really holding up well. Impressive. These checked all the boxes for me. Only minor issue is there's a bit of excess material on the sides of the tongues that can fold over and not feel right on the top of my foot when putting them on sometimes it's pretty easy to use my finger to lay it flat/flush, no biggie. I'm tempted to experiment with the Runventures as well, but for now I'm all about the Pursuit. Thanks Topo!

When someone said "Oh I bought 2-3 pairs because they were so good" I thought it couldn't be true. Well my friends, this Pursuit model might be it. It fits perfectly, extremely comfortable in the midfoot, and the zero-drop makes it fantastic to run. In addition, the entire purchase journey is well done: packaging, delivery updates, and the online stuff. Their sponsored athletes are happy with the product, their customer experience is top notch, and the shoes fit right in.

Finished an R3 of the Grand Canyon and the Pursuit performed above expectations. The durability, the cushion, and the grip all made for a more comfortable 44 miles. Highly recommend. The cushion in the Mountain Racer compacted and degraded way too soon, seems like my decision to stick with the Topo brand and just move to the Pursuit was a good one.

Awesome shoe to kick some trails here in the Arizona desert. If you like the MTN racer 2 then you going to love this shoe. So far I have completed the R2R, Humphreys peak and Mount Wrightson. Happy with the performance

Where have these been all my life? These are the best trail shoes I've ever owned. Perfect amount of cushion, great grip, wide toe box, padded but not intrusive tongue and non slip laces. Oh, and zero drop! I hope this lineup stays forever, this will be the only trail shoe I'll ever get!
