I read a lot of reviews on here before buying these, and I agree with the general consensus - these are great pants! They do not look like synthetic pants. Both the styling and color (Deep Indigo) are great and will be a versatile addition to my wardrobe. The material is sturdy - feels closer to denim than normal tech/synthetic pants. I do hope it will soften up after a few washes. I normally wear a 33 and ordered a 34 here based on a few reviews, but exchanged for a 33 which feels true to size. I really like the fit - slim/straight but not skinny. As someone who travels for a living I love the zippered pocket. I'm constantly looking for ways to reduce the number of items in my closet and increase cross-functionality...these will be a good step in that direction.

Fantastic customer service. I had to try three times to get the correct size and the staff was extremely helpful in getting my exchanges done promptly. They truly cared about my customer experience and wanted me to get exactly what I was looking for. The pants are great and really durable.

I rarely write reviews, but my experience with both these pants and the company has been so good that I felt like I had to write something! I work in the film industry as a Director and Cinematographer, which means that much of my job is about aesthetics. I'm also a firm believer that if a network or producer is trusting me with his project and I constantly look disheveled then it lays the seed of "how much can I trust him with this show?"... its sad but true, impressions matter. Having said that, often to find beautiful locations means going to some pretty remote and challenging ecosystems. So for years I've been looking for a pant that simultaneously looked good, but also had the durability and performance of "outdoor gear", and I'm not lying when I say these pants are the perfect blend!!!! So far I've shot in rain soaked forests in Oregon, caves in Kentucky, and the deserts of Bolivia all in these pants. The part that is most impressive is in spite of jagged rocks, sharp vegetation, or constant movement to haul gear or find the right camera angle they still look brand new, and on top of that I've gotten multiple compliments from cast and crew (occasionally making fun of me for looking like " most stylish person in a rainforest"). I will say this. The AT Slim are a thicker material, and not a stretchy as the evolution pant (my favorite work pant for really hot environments). So if you get warm these aren't as breathable, but they are still way cooler than jeans, and they wick water and dry super fast. I also like the thickness cause they feel more durable if you working around rough terrain. Basically, I 100% recommend these pants!!! They are amazing. Also side note/ general love for the company. At one point USPS lost my shipment, and Armand who does customer care was absolutely the nicest human to deal with, and fixed everything super fast... which kind of made me love the company even more. All and all, solid pants, cool company.

Western Rise has been the star of my COVID summer. I got these after liking the Evolution pants. While the evolution pants are great warm weather pants, the AT Slims feel tougher and have more structure in a good way. They work great as a bike to work pair of pants.

As expected, a heavier 5-pocket pant. These work work great as a technical pant for the winter, Western Rise knows how to make great pants.

Immediately I knew these pants were next level. Great fit and feel with strong durability. I am 165 and 5 11 and size 30 fits me well. I do need to roll up the pants because the 32 inch inseam is a bit long for me. Overall I would highly recommend to anyone looking for quality pants. Thanks Western Rise look forward to more products in the future!

I finally caved after months of seeing western rise spam my social media feeds and my favorite youtubers telling me I need these pants. I only wish is bought them sooner. They fit amazingly and are the most comfortable pair of pants I ever bought. I hesitated because of the cost and after seeing them in person I have no concerns that these won't hold up for me in the long run. I will definitely be purchasing more from this company. These are worth every penny.

I'm impressed with Western Rise. The customer service is great, as is the quality of the AT Slim Pant. Unfortunately, the fit on this particular style did not work for me, so I ordered the Evolution Pant to see if that works better. The product itself represents great craftsmanship and attention to detail. Hopefully, I'll be able to find a style that has the right fit for me. Bottom line--Well done!! I'm impressed with your company, your concept and your products.

I'm a Father of two toddlers, working from home and trying to get out on my bike any chance I can. Having comfortable, durable and versatile clothes is a necessity and these pants can handle all three of those scenarios (and probably so much more). If you're reading this and on the fence, just try them. You won't regret it!

I've purchased a couple of 'tech' pants before and they've all felt relatively rather delicate. I usually commute on my bike so I need a sturdy pair of pants to withstand friction while I try get to work on time. I heard these might do the job. So far I have no complaints, the AT pant feels durable and lightweight at the same time. I'll definitely be ordering another pair!

I ordered two pairs of these AT Slims and they fit great and true to size. I'm a 30W in Levi's and the sizing is comparable. The material has a slight bounce to it making it super comfortable to wear all day. I'm happy to see that they've actually made the coin pocket useful by making it basically 10x the size of your traditional ones. I will note that I am on the slimmer side and these fit me well in the thigh area. The zippered pocket that comes on the right rear is nice though I haven't really had to use it since I keep my card holder in the front coin pocket... where I feel like it's pretty dang secure. I've officially started wearing these everyday to work and even ordered a third pair.

I've been looking for a jeans alternative (my skin doesn't play well with denim for some reason) and these are a perfect alternative. The fit is great and the waist size was dead on (I'm a 32 but always size up to a 33 because I've got big legs). Love the material too. Should fair well in the fall/winter months. Highly recommend these!

Western Rise makes phenomenal clothing with the customer experience that you would expect with a top tier clothing brand. Big fan of the AT Slim pants for both working in the office and tackling hikes on the weekend. Might be the ultimate weekend warrior pant.

I've been a WR customer for a while, now, with the original "AT Slim Rivet" pants being among the first items in my collection. As much as I loved those pants, I will say that they always seemed to be just a smidge on the slightly-too-tight end of the spectrum, through the thighs. The material, too, in the original version of the pants, seemed just a bit too stiff & beefy for all-day comfort. They were also just a bit too much to wear on warmer days. Great pants, but with those slight drawbacks. As soon as I saw the new Evolution pants available, I tried those, and have loved them. They seem to have fixed every issue I just mentioned. The cut is just a bit more generous than the AT Slim Rivet, and the material much more lightweight. I decided to give the updated version of the AT Slim a chance, and am so glad that I did! The new version is fantastic. They seem very much like just a slightly beefed-up version of the Evolution. The cut is so much more wearable than the original Slim Rivet, and the fabric seems to drape and give much better, too. Simply fantastic. Between the Evolution and AT Slim, I don't know that I could possibly need any other pants. I can't believe how versatile each is.

I've been in the market for a pair of daily bike commuting pants for many years. I've tried pants from Ministry of Supply, Outlier, J Crew, Bonobos, along with several other brands that I didn't purchase, but they all had issues of one sort or another. The problem was finding pants that fulfilled 3 criteria. First, the material needed to have stretch but be reasonably water-resistant, as I'd be wearing them in rain and snow. Not necessarily waterproof (I'm not looking for a raincoat for my legs), but more effective at shedding water than a nylon windbreaker. Second, they had look like regular pants. I didn't want reflective stripes, cargo pockets, or other technical flash that made them look too "sporty". And finally they needed to fit well -- slim, non-baggy legs, waist not too low for riding. I'm happy to say I found all those things in the AT Slim Pant. They look and fit great, like most brands' versions of "slim jeans" (e.g. I fit my same size in J Crew 484 jeans as these). The material has nice amount of stretch to it for biking, yet feels really sturdy and densely woven, like it'd take a lot to tear it. I haven't yet worn these in heavy rain yet, but I did hold them under a shower for a bit and could see the water-repellant material in action. I don't think these will keep you dry under prolonged or heavy rain, but being realistic here I don't think anything short of rubber pants will do that, and these seem to do a decent job of repelling enough water to stay more comfortable than riding in jeans. And although this wasn't a criterion of mine, I also really like the gusseted crotch; I've had other biking pants' seams give out there so that's a great touch. At first blush, I'm really pleased with these. If I still feel the same way after a few months of riding in them, I'll almost certainly pick up another pair in another color. They're the best combination of fit, water repellance, and style in any biking pants I've found to date.
