Love it. Light weight. Stretchy. Comfortable.

These pants are great. There's no other way to put it. I'm 6'4, 215lbs and they're super comfortable, versatile, and fit amazingly well. I love the light fabric. My only gripe is that I purchased a pair the Diversion pants earlier this year and they just have a nicer cut, particularly around the calves. The diversion pant has a thicker material, maybe with some more stretch too. The Evolution has a bit of a baggier leg. But both pants are awesome in different ways. I would love if Western Rise would make a Diversion pant in the Evolution fabric, maybe a Summer Diversion? I'd definitely buy a couple pairs of those!

I picked up a pair of the evolution pants in dark blue, and have found them to be very comfortable. They were lighter in weight than I expected, which makes them especially good for humid Chicago summers. I ordinarily wear a 33" inseam, so I decided to take the plunge and release the hem (the 32" inseam that they shipped with was closer to 31.5" on my 36" waist pair). I got a seam ripper out (purchased for taking logos off of bags etc.), and went to work. I found that the 32" hem is on the garment for real - these are not just tacked on temporary-type hems, but serious, permanent hems. Interestingly, the fabric is so lightweight, that you really cannot tell that they are double hemmed - I thought it was possible that when I got inside the hem, I might not find any extra fabric to let out. The material is really that packable. To be frank, it took more effort than expected to release the hem to 34", but I eventually got the job done, especially by the side seams. If I had to do it over, I would probably take them to a tailor/seamstress, as It was a bit of a pain. As far as the pants themselves, I think they wear really well. I see these being a three season pair which will get a lot of use.

As someone who rarely buys pants off the discount rack, these pants are a revelation. They feel a bit thin but seem of stout construction. The comfort and fit are also amazing and I have a stocky body and usually find good fitting pants hard to find. I'll definitely be getting more pairs of these!

Love the fit of these pants and how lightweight and comfortable they feel when wearing them. Perfect for situations where you have to wear full length pants in warmer weather or need to pack light on trip (hopefully soon). These hardly take-up any room in a packing cube. I like that they're very slightly off-black, I much prefer this to a solid black as it makes them more versatile for wearing casually.

I now have 2 pair of Evolution Pants and I am very pleased with the comfort, fit, weight and stretch. I highly recommend these!

I have 2 Evolution Pants from the kickstarter project, where the black one has better water repellent effect than the coloured one. one problem tho, was that 32 size is way too large while 30 could be too small. The new offering of 31 is just fit, love it.

The fabric has a great feel, and doesn't look like the typical techy outdoor adventure pant (at least in the charcoal). It is not shiny or overly loud/swishy. It has a nice texture, and I think they really did a great job of mimicing the feel of cotton here. The charcoal color is actually lighter in person than pictured, which is fine, almost preferable in my case. But be aware if you are expecting a deep, jet black- these are more matte charcoal/dark gray, like the charcoal color name implies. They feel super light weight and will be easily packable. Time will tell how well it breathes in summer heat, and holds up to use. The fit is spot on- not too baggy, not too skinny. Fitted with a little room to breath. The big 5th pocket and zippered back pockets are great! Wish both back pockets had the zipper. The only bad so far is the front pockets are a bit shallow. Not so much that I forsee it being an issue however. Notes on fit: I found the sizing to chart to be a little inaccurate on the waist sizing. These actually measure bigger than listed. I initially order a 34, then exchanged for a 33, and finally settled on 32 which is a perfect fit. 32 is my typical size in pants that use vanity sizing, and I would recommend you just order what your typical levi/vanity size waist would be for these. Waistband seems to have some stretch to it, so I could even sized down to 31 but I liked how the rest of the pant fit. The exchange process and customer service is top notch, so no worries there. For reference, I am 6'3", 175lbs with athletic legs.

So far, I have purchased three pairs of the Evolution Pants - just so that people don't say "Hey, aren't those the same pants you've been wearing all week?"! Seriously. I just got back from a camping/hiking trip to Badlands National Park and Rocky Mountain National Park... I wore one pair for the first 4 days, and a second pair for the next 4 days (and I only changed, because I just felt like i should - the first pair still looked like I had just taken them out of the dryer).

First let me say I initially purchased the wrong size. The exchange process was so easy. Western rise even shipped out the new ones before receiving the initial purchase. These pants are something I've never experienced before. So lightweight, just enough stretch, and look nice enough to pair with a performance button up. I have 2 pairs now and will look to buy more.

Exactly as advertised. Great fit, comfortable material, lightweight. The perfect summer pant.

Love these pants as a sales rep in the bike and run industry. I'm on the road every week. They are perfect for working or riding and two pairs will get me the whole week. Wish they had some shorts for the summer.

My wife is going to get sick of seeing me in these pants. I have a pair of the AT slim rivet pants but they are a little too big since I have lost some weight. The evolution pants are much lighter and better for summer and the size 32 fits me much better. I will have to get another pair in a different color.

Super comfortable. A go to pant. Would love to see additional color ways and more inseam length options.

I am super happy with the Evolution pant, I have been wearing black jeans to work everyday for the past two years until I discovered these and decided to try a pair. I got my correct size on the first try and that same week I ordered two more pairs! Not only are these more comfortable than jeans or chinos, but they look more professional, fit me better, and are much lighter/breathable for warmer summer months ahead! So glad I found these! Time will tell how they hold up to abuse and wear but so far they seem like very good quality/construction.

I've been on the hunt for a great alll day every day type pant and this company had come across as an ad many times. I finally started exploring the website and was hesitant for a long time. They finally came out with 25% off the evolution pant one weekend and i gave them a try. First day i wore them, i was already sold. They look great, feel great, are cool in temp, and the blue grey color matches a lot. I'm going to buy 1 or 2 more! Thanks Western Rise
