One week in and I've worn them every day. I can easily see these shorts replacing at least 3 pairs of old ones. Love the hidden drawstring feature and for the first time ever I might even say that the pockets have TOO MUCH room but that's not a bad thing. Keep up the great work!

I have worn these shorts once for an extended period of time. I am 5' 11" / 160 lbs. I normally wear a 33/34 waist and ordered the 34 inch version. They are comfortable and fit true to size. These shorts have several nice features. I like the 8 in inseam which I think hits the sweet spot between 9 and 7 inch inseams. I am also 64 yrs old and not a fan on long inseam shorts, so that may be a generational preference. The four pockets are big and deep. I have an iphone X with a slim case and it fits in any of the pockets easily. The zippered back pocket is roomy and the phone can rotate and fit horizontally in the pocket. The shorts have 7 belt loops which I like, the two normal ones on either side of the zipper, two on each side which sit on either side of the hip bones and one in the center back. If you wear a belt, having the two additional loops is great. There is a draw string inside the shorts for those who don't wear belts. I find it can get in the way on occasion and may end up removing it. However, having that choice is another plus for these shorts. The material is a little heavier duty and should wear well for a long time. Initial impression for these shorts is very positive.

I've been wearing these shorts everyday since I got them. They are a bit shorter than all my other shorts. I wish they would have a longer version such as 9'' inseam but it's not a deal breaker. it's very thin like the Evolution Pants which makes them really comfortable and breathable. They fit really well. I normally wear 32 and these in 32 are spot on. I probably won't be wearing these for swimming as I have dedicated board shorts for that purpose so I may remove the drawstrings. If I have to change one thing I would add a smaller media pocket inside the right pocket so my smaller iPhone could sit upright all the time instead of sliding around which is quite annoying. Overall these are easily the best shorts I have in terms of fit and quality. Now they need to come in more colors.

Great shorts for casual summer wear day or night, golf, hiking, swimming, beach cruiser or MTB riding or even napping. Comfortable great feel high performance

These shorts are amazing...you can go casual/semi-casual (they are shorts of course), swimming, hiking and biking. I had a pair of shorts from other brands and now have replaced them with these. I'm a minimalist traveler and these are so light weight and replace several pairs. Great work Western Rise - more colors please!!!

These shorts are lightweight and comfortable. They look good and are a nice length as well. Another great product from Western Rise!

These shorts have the same look and feel as the Evolution pants. The only exception is the drawstring which is very comfortable and does not impose in any way. I am 5'10 with longer legs in comparison to my torso and the shorts stop right above my knees. The shorts stretch well in all the right places and these will be my go to for the remaining days of summer and future ones to come. Please release these shorts in other colors (dark red/orange, forest green).

waited a few months for them but worth the wait! Great fit, very nice textured material and the fit is spot on. I like the smaller leg opening. Looks sleek.

I liked the fit overall although I'm not used to their length. They are shorter than my other shorts but I'm sure I'll get used to it. I also bought a pair of pants recently that are Deep Indigo in color. I can't tell the difference between Deep Indigo and black. I thought my first pair was black so I thought if I bought another pair in Deep Indigo it would add variety. Now I've got two pair of "black" pants.

I've been using these shorts for a couple of weeks now. The giant back security pocket is prized when I'm on my e-bike. Additionally, they feel great and I love the length. After I got the seat/waist tailored I have never had a better looking pair of shorts.

The experience has been great. I haven't found a use for the drawstrings (yet), but they are largely unobtrusive so far. I love the stretchy mesh at the bottom of the pockets. The material is light and airy without being stiff or feeling like I have to baby it. Overall solid build and not suffocating given the temperatures and humidity in Miami. These shorts move with you and are comfortable while you do it. I was really excited to try these out as a glimpse of the evolution pants, in the Miami weather. I'll probably be investing in the pants in the future.

These things are killer I got these shorts last week and have worn them every day since. Ive worn these to work, a "fancy" meal, and washed my car in them all in the same day. These guys continue to step up their game with quality and tech in their clothing. These shorts are no exception. Every time I purchase a new item, it's better than the last in almost every aspect. Cant say enough good things about this company and their product.

I backed the evolution pants on Kickstarter and have worn them on more days than not since receiving them. They're my favorite article of clothing that I own. I was excited to see a shorts version, and they're every bit as good. Comfortable, good looking, and the material feels durable.

These are fabulous pants. I had size 34 in all colors. They were loose, but the best I could do. Now that 33 waist is available, I am re-stocking. These pants are pricey at $149, but they are that good. Waiting for 33 in blue/grey and shadow.

These are my favorite pants. I wear them 4-5 times a week at my job. Super comfortable and light weight. I feel like I'm wearing nothing. My HAT off to you for coming out with these pants. Excellent and Superb fit Plus that look.

These pants are the best pants for casual wear or dress them up with a sport coat. These pants are super breathable, flexible, and perfect for long summer days. I've worn the pants multiple days in a row and they still look fresh. Thank you Western Rise!!!! Keep producing the great products.

I highly recommend these shorts. If you like their pants, or really if you like Western Rise, nay, if you're human and are in need of a pair of shorts, then cash in on a pair of these bad-boys. They'll make your life easier in all the ways a pair of shorts can. Oh, and do it soon. They're comfortable, stylish and super durable. Great for travel as they are light-weight. Or at least they will be when we start traveling again.

Needed comfortable work pants.. had to move a size up. They fit and feel great. Excited to put these pants to the test in the Middle East.

Bought a blue pair, loved them so much, I bought a more grey color to diversify. I'm excited to see what they'll do for chinos next.

Ripped open the package and tried them on as soon as they arrived. Perfect fit! What's amazing is they fit my waist AND they didn't look/feel too long in the legs. I have short legs, usually wear a 34" waist & 30" length. The length would totally work for someone with longer legs, but the light weighted fabric drapes down my legs WITHOUT dragging the ground, like every other pair of pants I own. Love them!

I've had a few pairs of the AT Slims (which are also awesome), but I wanted a pant that felt even lighter for when I have to work in really hot places. I work in film and TV so I occasionally do 13hr shoot days in the desert or insanely hot jungles, so I wanted something super breathable, but also something that looked cool... I will totally own, I'm vain and do care how I look even when working in the desert, and to be honest most "outdoor" clothes look like they were cut and designed exclusively for function, and thus tend to hideous... The evolutions how ever.. are amazing! I haven't had mine as long so I cant say whether they are as durable as the ATs (those are indestructible) but I can say they look like pants I go out on dates in, but feel insanely comfortable even when hauling gear in 100 degrees. Also, I had to contact customer service to have a question answered, and they were so helpful!!! Which is awesome. I really loved the fact the company actually cares about customer interactions.... which made me only want to support them more! point being.... if you're online wondering should I get these... yes... buy the pants.. you'll be glad you did.

Unbelievable fit! I'm hard to fit as a short legged, cyclist thigh wide body extramorph! Super comfortable even in 90 degree heat!
