These trousers are cut with way too much room for me. I am 5' 9" and weigh 175. The seat and legs are far too roomy for the style of flex/jean I was hoping to receive.

Size runs larger than my usual Jeans that would fit. Jeans are made really well though.

Not really the color I thought I was ordering. The material is really strange. Not sure what it is made out of.

The 37" waist is about 38" (I could buy even sized jeans at Target for half this sale price). The zipper is 5"; 6" is a near universal men's standard (or were these intended to be "unisex"). The watch pocket is less than 2" wide, unlike the Double L 3.5', which easily stores a swiss army knife. The stretchy fabric is much thinner than Double L. Other than the width, however, the fit is OK.

Cheaply made and seams are wearing down after one month of wearing. Moreover the stretch fabric they use is buckling near the pockets. I'm a smaller sized person and these pants fit loose on me so I have no clue why this is already happening. I do not recommend these pants. The only reason I am giving 2/5 is because of the custom length/inseam down to 28 is nice.

After the first time wearing them the back of the legs were all frayed. We haven't even washed them yet.

These are really nice pants but after wearing one time they stretched and the fit changed. They were a"perfect fit" when I tried them on. After a day off wearing they stretched just enough to say in the butt and generality for just a little looser than I like. I will be returning them. That being said, they are very nice pants.

This was one of the best jean materials I've worn. Just the right amount of stretch, but the calves were way too wide, even if wearing boots. I returned them.

I ordered a different Jean with 35" waist that fit perfectly but this Jean measurement was 5" off and I was unable to get anywhere near buttoning them and will have to return

Too big for Standard fit. Too much stretch, not enough cotton %.
Generally too big.

After washing an unusual dot to dot pattern with black streaks on both front and back of pant. Very weird. Nothing else in my washer or dryer got this pattern in black on it.
Exchanging for another color choice.

The front pockets are extremely shallow. Easy to lose a smart phone.

I bought these because of the fit which is good. But the denim is noticeably thinner than my regular jeans as are the pockets.
Poor quality for the price.

Like so many jeans with a bit of stretch in them, these lose their shape too quickly. And once they do, that's it until laundry day. They fit nicely out of the dryer, but within an hour, hang too loosely and stay that way. Very comfortable for bending, kneeling, etc and the color was good, but I'm 50/50 on keeping vs. returning. But I won't be buying stretchy jeans anymore.

This item did not look anywhere near the depicted picture description. It was much more faded then the color shown and had faded bars across the front. I usually order the classic fit in dark wash and these appeared the same in the picture. I was really looking forward to the flex fit which fit well, but did not look as advertised. Returned both ...

They fit great and felt super comfortable....BUT after wearing them for 4 hours they began to bag and loose their shape. Maybe if I bough a size smaller, they would fit like skin tight jeans for 4 hours before loosening up to the right fit. At 57, I do not want to be in skinny jeans for even 4 hours.

My husband is very fussy about his jeans. He's been known to wear the same pair for 10+ years because they fit well, even when they no longer look good. I ordered the Bean Flex jeans and he loved them, particularly the stretchiness. So I ordered a second pair in a darker wash so he could wear them for dressier casual occasions, like casual Fridays at work. We are disappointed the knees on this pair were scrubbed white from him playing on the floor with our grandchildren. They no longer look good, after 5 months of wear. The first pair, in a different wash, have worn great.

I loved the "1912 Performance Stretch Jeans, Standard Fit" and purchased many pairs.
These are not as well made, and are much larger than the size would indicate. I wear 32" in Lee or Levi jeans and 31" in the 1912 Performance Stretch Jeans. The 31" BeanFlex Jeans are at least an inch larger in the waist than the 31" 1912 jeans, the legs are oddly wide through the thigh, and the rise is slightly lower than the 1912. I can't see whether the 30" BeanFlex jeans fit the same as the 31" 1912 jeans because these are not available in 30x29 dark wash.
If you are relatively slender and want a stretch jean for office wear, these may be good. Just be aware of the sizing issues. Buy an inch or two smaller than you would normally.

Let me first say that I love the fabric and fit. Unfortunately, the sewing of the left front pocket was to close to the exterior pocket so that with every movement the white interior lining would bulge and become exposed. So, before you go there, I am NOT over weight. I just expected better quality at this price.

I have bought these jeans for my husband for several years. I ordered the same item number and size but fit was very different. Very baggy, not flattering at all.

Pant length changes depending on color. A 29 inch inseam is 29 inches on medium wash but 29.5 on dark indigo. Waste size changes depending on length. A 33x29 and 33x28 gives you a 34 and 32 inch waste respectively. I contacted and sent pictures to llbean. They had no explanation for either. If you can find a pair that fit, they are good jeans for the price, but don't order more in the same size as you wont receive the same fit.

The jeans smelled terrible (formaldehyde maybe?). Washing didn't help remove the odor.

I have reluctantly had to accept the reality of stretch jeans, although I will never know why you changed from the older, lighter weight 1912 denim. Seriously, what were you thinking!? Stretch is one thing, but this "BeanFlex" fabric is like wearing plastic; it is one of the most artificial feeling fabrics I have ever worn. This is the most negative review I have ever written for an LL Bean product, but honestly, but these jeans are terrible. What I wouldn't give for a pair of the older Vintage 1912 jeans, before you started playing with the fabric!
