This is a great little purse. Notice I said little. It is smaller than I like but very chic and handy for dressing up!

This bag was a little larger than I thought it would be, but still works well as a cross-body purse. Quite roomy with great interior pockets and a zip-pocket on the outside. The pockets located on the ends of the bag are not large enough to hold my smart phone, which is on the smaller side as those phones go, but the phone fits nicely in one of the interior pockets and is easy to reach there.

I bought this bag based on the reviews that it was a nice size for a day trip kind of bag. It's not. It's a little smaller than I would normally carry, but I love the color pattern Heather, so I'll still use it. Pockets on the ends of the purse should be strechy in my opinion to aid in the ease of getting to the bottom of the pockets.

I bought this for my daughter for her birthday. We were going on vacation and I was tired of watching her jam everything in a small purse. She is very particular about her colors, if she carries a black purse she will only wear a black or white jacket. At first she didn't like it because she has a brown winter jacket. She bought a wallet because she didn't own one, always crammed everything in small change purses. She was able to carry her IPad mini in the purse and liked the straps. I have one in a different pattern and love it, even have a hat to match. My daughter will be 45 in March and I think it's time she started to add a little color to her wardrobe.

I love this On the Go Bag but wish it was just a little bit larger (maybe a little taller and wider). Love the style though.

I think that as long as you name your bags it would be helpful if you changed/amended the name to indicate this. It is very difficult to see updates on line and if the names are the same I really expected the bag to be too.

I went into the store to buy the On the Go bag last night and was shown the new style. I was looking forward to getting the Lucky You pattern in the On the Go bag I've been replacing yearly in a new pattern. It wasn't meant to be. I then asked if any of the older style was available, and bought a left over from the remaining 4 patterns in stock. I do love my purchase of the old style On the Go bag in the Cherry Blossoms pattern! The newer style was larger, didn't have the front zipper pocket, and the side open pockets were too narrow to fit my iphone. I was not happy to have a great bag redesigned. It was an easy purchase for a few years. Have fun choosing a new pattern in a bag I know works for my everyday use. Oh well, can't have things remain the same forever.

Let me start off with, I LOVE Vera Bradley. The On The Go is perfect for a well, a girl on the go. It is so easy to get essentials out of the purse and put essentials back into the purse.The zipper for the main pocket is so easy to unzip. I love it! The only bad thing about this purse is that after awhile of carrying it around, it gets very heavy and uncomfortable on your shoulder. I took this bag to New York City for a trip, and after the day of walking around was over my shoulder hurt. This problem though isn't only because it's the On The Go. Don't all purses get heavy after awhile? What I Can Fit In My On The Go: -phone in the zippered pocket on the outside -bracelet in the zippered pocket on the outside -wallet -VB medium cosmetic -pen in the inner slip pocket -mints in the inner slip pocket -some random papers thrown in there -and a small ziploc bag filled with a snack After wearing this purse for a month, I would recommend this to anyone and everyone looking for a purse for on the go ;)

I've wanted to order something in the Ribbons design for awhile, and saw this. It's just too small for me to make it my everyday bag, which is why I ordered it. I will be returning it, sadly.

I love the On The Go bag because it is a cross body bag. It is great for travel!! It could be just a little bit bigger so that the zipper opening would be longer -- easier to see down inside. I also look for a lighter colored material for the lining so the contents don't get lost in the bottom of the bag.

I truly wish more of the fabric bags were made with less height. I have one bag, name forgotten, that is perfect...very organized and not too tall. Also would love straps about 3-4 inches longer. Ordered 2 other bags but returned as too tall for my taste.

I really like the outside pockets on this bag. The small ones are the right size for my car keys and my ID badge. I wanted an attached clip for my loyalty cards, but the zippered compartment is adequate for this task and a good place to store my cell phone. I would prefer 6 inside pockets instead of 3 to keep it more uncluttered and a little bit more height so it's easier to fit in a water bottle when the bag is loaded. I wasn't sure if I'd like the single wide strap, but I really love how I can adjust this bag from a shoulder bag to a cross-body bag with a single slide of the buckle (a great feature when shopping or walking in a crowded area.) My only real complaint is that the fabric wears out along the edges long before I get tired of the bag. I love these lightweight, functional bags.

My granddaughter asked for this bag to use a small Diaper bag!!!! She loves & it meets her needs.

Have purchased this style before but the quality of this fabric is not as purse is not good as previous one. Do like it for travel as it is roomy enough to carry a lot in a rather compact silhouette.

This is perfect crossbody bag. . But if have one pocket for front.... it would be great !!

I have several of these bags in the old style. The changes in the outside side pockets makes them unusable now. My sunglasses keep falling out of the new style. Please bring back the old style, deeper pockets. I love the new zippered pocket that was added on the inside, however.

This bag is cute and it holds alot. I was looking for a bag that can hold my camera (normal not fancy), my phone and especially my sunglass case which is very bulky. This bag can hold it all and more for vacations! It is a very nice bag for a road trip and for a carry on bag for the airplane. The only thing I don't like about this bag is that it has a cardboard bottom which makes the bag look very bulky while having it as a crossbody. But other than that this bag is fantastic and I highly recommend this bag for anyone.

I bought this bag in the fall and just started using it again. I like the overall look and feel of it but what I have been noticing is the outside pockets. I have 3 things I like to keep in separate outside pockets: cell phone, keys and ID badge and this doesn't happen. The problem is the side pockets, they don't really hold anything except lipstick. They will fit my key chain if I put them in carefully - you can't just throw them in. Also my ID badge does fit, it just sticks up over the top and doesn't seem safe. But I do still like it. My cell fits in the outside zip pocket great, my keys I throw in the inside zippered pocket and the ID badge goes in one of the inside open pockets. I would buy another one if the 2 outside side pockets were more functional.

I have always tried different Vera Bradley bags but I always come back to the On the Go. It's not too big and not too small, just right. I love how the border is on the side of the bag instead of going straight down the middle. I believe it shows the pattern better. Though I love this bag, the outside zipper needs to be larger. I cannot get my nook hd to fit. I have more room in the bag if I can put my nook there.

The old style OTG had a too short strap drop. Problem fixed! The On The Go is so awesome (to me) because the front is bare. You get to show off your beautiful pattern without a pocket, piece of trim, or some design break messing up the pattern. A lot of Vera patterns require space to show it's beauty and not look misaligned or odd. On The Go gives you that in a crossbody style. A minor concern is larger phones such as the Samsung Galaxies probably wont fit in the side slip pockets. My iphone 5 with a Hybrid Hardshell case fits, but it's very snug.

I purchased this in Citron and couldn't be happier! The size is perfect! Just big enough for all of my things, but not too cumbersome. It can be comfortably worn over the shoulder or cross-body. Love having the back zip pockets and the side slip pockets (snug fit for an iPhone). Would purchase again!

I have carried this purse in the Java Blue for a couple years now. By far my fave purse! But realized it was time for a new one when the strap started to show major wear along with the side where I carry lip gloss and such in the inside pockets. I figured I couldn't go wrong by ordering the same style... But not happy with all the changes. I used to carry important papers in outside pocket such as mail but the size has been cut down and not as useful as before. The pockets on the inside use to be on the opposite side as the outer pocket but now they share the same wall and makes that side of the purse a bit bulky. I do love the fact that the hardware is now metal instead of plastic and that a small zip pocket was added to the inside. Pros outweigh the cons so I won't let it stop me from considering in the future but think I will check out in store before buying online.

I have numerous VB bags, but like cross body hobo's for travel. This bag is a great little bag, but really needs to be larger. For those of us that like a little extra room to carry additional items: it needs to be larger. Say 3 wider and 3 taller. I'm always elected to carry hubbies extra glasses, as well as hand sanitizers, etc. VB had several hobo's in past that was perfect, but no longer has. Please bring back some of the older versions, in new updated fabrics.

Love the On the Go, it is a great bag! I was so happy when Vera came out with the solid black and ordered one. I did keep the bag but I really do not like the strap, it is EXTREMELY STIFF and nothing like the straps on the bags.

I agree with some of the previous users of this bag. Why change a good thing. I also miss the removable hard bottom from all the bags. The new styles are starting to seem chintzy and not quality for some reason. They just dont feel right. The only bags I would buy from the current bags are the - On the go and the Mailbag. I cant believe they still havent perfected a computer bag for a laptop. I have a prototype from years ago which is great. Too bad they cant make that again.! Ps I have about 50 vera products.
