I gave this robe to my boyfriend as a Christmas present this year. He loves it, and has been wearing it every morning! It's made of the softest material, and is thick enough to keep him cozy without being too heavy. As far as sizing goes, he's a lean 6'5, and normally wears an XL in t-shirts (mostly to ensure the sleeves are long enough). I opted for the Large-Tall option, and it fits perfectly. Loved that I had the option to add monogramming, too. Thanks L.L.Bean!

Who wouldn't recommend anything from LL Bean...I bought this for my self...I don't like fleece robes because they are to bulky...this is perfect...it's well made and just plain perfect for this short pudgy female...I would recommend this

L.L. Bean is one of the only companies to still offer Tall sizes in so many of their men's clothing line. It is my go-to company when finding clothes for my tall (6'4") husband. This robe features a beautiful flannel -thick but not too thick, with all the warmth and fuzziness to make it perfect.

I bought this for my 92 yr. old dad who hates to give anything up, including his velour robe that must be 40 yrs. old...at least! He started wearing the new one immediately because it was so nice and warm. The only change I would make to it would be to tack down the belt at the side seams. I ended up looping the belt through the loop so that Dad wouldn't trip on it.

I bought this for my husband and I wear it more while I am home with the kids in the mornings. We have been through a few different robes and this one is the best. There is just something about the simplicity and comfort of good flannel.
It is on the thinner side, but soft warm and stays in place. The edges are reinforced for a more solid structure unlike other flimsy robes. Luckily I found this on sale and used coupon on top of that so I bought the robe for $50 and went ahead and added a Monogram for fun which turned out to be a nice touch. My husband loves fit and feel, and especially the lapels. I think it is a handsome looking robe and love staring at him in it!

I bought this bathrobe for my husband and he wears it all the time! He says "it's cozy, warm, and soft. The only issue is that the belt material is a little slick so it comes undone a lot. But overall it's great."

Excellent robe. Light and warm. Much better than the slippers that I ordered at the same time.

I'm very happy with this selection. The robe is generously cut, soft and warm, and the Freeport plaid, with its rich, deep colors, is exceptional. Thank you.

I ordered this and the matching pajama set for my boyfriend, as being comfy in the evenings, but also looking put together is awesome. They are so soft, and even softer after a wash. Looking forward to these lasting a long time!

Soft flannel, luxurious fit, beautiful plaid, and not too heavy material for easy packing in my suitcase. Just what I wanted. LL Bean wins again!

Husband is one of those annoyingly hot blooded people; he rarely wears a coat, even when we lived in the arctic freezer of Edmonton Canada. He had a non-tall fleece robe and wanted a thinner, better fitting robe. His birthday was approaching and I had a serendipitous 20% off email from LL so I checked their selection and the reviews.
Many of the reviews remarked that this robe was fairly thin (check), and it had all the LL good factors IMO, such as material, workmanship and fit, although there were some complaints about it I figured LL would make it right so I purchased with confidence and waited. I bought the Black Watch pattern, since Husband is an understated kind of dresser.
Finally the birthday arrived and his requested gift was opened and donned. Husband is quite pleased with all aspects of his robe as it met all his requirements for heft and fit. In fact the sleeves are actually long and need to be rolled up a bit. I'm hoping that that does not mean when I wash it that it will shrink 3 or 4 inches but if so I trust it will either still fit or I can return and try again.
The old fleece robe went to Son, who is of similar height and build but only has freakishly warm feet and is otherwise cold intolerant. Husband considers this robe winter weight whereas I would wear it in cool but not cold weather.

I bought this to replace a robe that I had bought in Macy's in 1991 that had literally begun to fall apart. I am a woman but I prefer men's robes because it's difficult to find a nice, ordinary, regular flannel women's robe.
This is just a robe. Nothing fancy, but it's a substantial, soft flannel and is very comfortable. Which is exactly what I wanted. I've only had it a few weeks but it is well made of quality fabric so I expect it will last a long time. It is a very nice color plaid, too.

Three pockets, wide lapel, generous cut. The ideal bath robe. I have the winter lined model and the summer weight model. Excellent quality for the money.

A mid-weight woven plaid flannel, very comfortable and soft. The length is below the knee and the front overlaps generously to keep the robe closed when my husband is sitting. We tried a cheaper national brand which was thinner than percale and skimpy, poorly constructed. Bean wins every time!

I bought this robe based on an article in the NY Times that called it the best flannel robe. The price was very reasonable. The color is great. And the robe is lightweight, soft, warm and very comfortable. It's generously cut for my large frame. It washes and drys easily. It even has a breast pocket for my phone. All in all, a truly satisfying garment. I wear it every morning now when feeding the dogs and cats, and again in the evening after dinner. The NY Times was right. It is the best flannel robe.

Wanted an "in-between robe" for spring. Perfect weight, still warm enough to keep evening/morning chill away and light enough to move about, although I did have to roll up sleeves a bit. Sizing perfect and well-made. Didn't want the fussy, fru fru of a woman's robe while sitting and writing at my computer. Robe has great pockets for eyeglasses, cell phone, and doggie treats. Thanks for such wonderful products.

What a robe! This is the 4th robe I have tried, attempting to find one that fits properly. I have worn it every day since receiving it, and it was worth waiting 2 months for the new order to come in!. I am 6'1" tall, and average about 215 lbs. I wear an XL/Tall turtleneck, but sizing at Large/Tall is right on. The pockets are right where they should be for the size, enough overlap. LONG enough; it is lighter weight flannel, not flimsy, and not the heavy kind that gets all board stiff after washing, even with fabric softener. Warm and comfortable, even if our winter has been unusually mild this year! It washes up nicely, and does not need much ironing, after hanging to dry.
Did I mention I LIKE it?
