Never had one of these before, I've always used the sort of fluffy white bathrobes you would find at say Macy's. Now, I'm never going back. This is relatively thin, but so soft and very warm. I like that it isn't thick, it is easy to wear. In terms of sizing, I am usually right in between an M and an L for American shirts, in this case the M fits me perfectly.

I bought this red one to replace my green plaid identical robe I had for at least 25 (maybe 30) years, it wore out very gracefully and I still use it for a spare by my hot tub! This is my favorite robe. My prior was a medium but I was 175 back then, now 190-200. Fits perfect, not snug like a flannel shirt but rather a comfortable slightly large size which is what I like. I put a nice cuff on the sleeves which if no cuff goes half-way down my hand. If I would have gotten a medium, it would have been a snug fit in the shoulders like a flannel shirt rather than loose and comfortable for lounging. So if you are in my size class, and like a looser robe that still covers you well if you fall asleep on the couch, large is best fit. I guess I'll be buying my next robe when I'm 97 years old if I can get 25 years out of this one!!!

Bought this for my boyfriend for Christmas. He wears it all the time. It fit true to size and the flannel is so soft. Classic LL Bean satisfaction.

I purchased this robe in a tall size as a present for my husband. He LOVES this robe! He calls it his "super suit"! He adores the softness of the robe and is grateful for the tall sizing. No worries about the arms being too short or a funny length due to his height. It is very well constructed. This is not a cheapy department store robe. The price is more then reasonable for the quality. Now I want a matching one for me!

Fits nicely. Closes securely. Sleeves are easy to roll up if you need to get them out of the way. Easy to throw on. Comfortable.

This is the second purchase of the same robe. Wore daily for hours each day. The first purchase was many years ago. Replacing because husband ripped the lower part somehow. Great quality flannel. My husband does not like heavy, hot robes and this has been perfect. The tall size is perfect for his long arms and waist. Highly recommend this robe.

I'm sure after a few more washes it will feel like your favorite flannel shirt.

Purchased for my husband as a Christmas gift. It's masculinely long and covers him well. He is a very triangle-shaped, broad-shouldered man and this robe left him the room he needed without pulling in the shoulders. The sleeves, as mentioned in other reviews, were long, but cuffing them looks great and solves this issue. Great product!

I have a 50/52 " chest and your agent said xxl. Well it was to big, xl would have worked ,but I did not mind the larger size. It is very warm and would buy again.

Philip says he wishes the belt was attached as he loses them or put it in a pocket and then doesn't use it.

Good fit and warm Just the right thing for me

The material of this robe is thinner than I expected, but it is still warm and comfortable. The overall construction looks good and I expect it to hold up for several years.

I bought this robe to go with the matching flannel pajamas! The combination is so luxurious and warm! I think that the unlined robe is sufficient when combined with the flannel pajamas, unless you live in a very drafty old house. Definitely a "thumbs up!"

That's why I chose this over other flannel! Weighty cotton, well woven. And in ample sizes for the new generation of humans with size 15 shoes!

This must be the 5th or 6th Flannel Robe I purchased from LL Bean over the years. I still have two of them in my closet that I've had for many years, and still wear, but which are a bit frayed now. I've always ordered them a bit bigger than I need to because I like to be wrapped around cozily in them, especially in winter, and especially when I get out of the shower. They are super comfortable in my opinion. Frank

I bought the matching pajamas for my Dad last year for Christmas. He liked them so much, I wanted to add the bathrobe this year.

Well made and very warm!

Very nice soft material, runs a bit on the large size, but it's no problem, I rolled up the sleeve one turn. Feels light but keeps warm even in a room of temps of the low 60's. I also ordered a second one in a dif color too, that in Medium, and not a huge dif in the size. I love both of them, feels great in this cold weather and is not heavy. Just right, best I ever bought.

I love this robe. This robe keeps me warm even on the coldest days. I'm very thin and a medium tall is not offered so it's a little big but not a problem. This robe is like everything else at LLBean, high quality, long lasting.

If you put on this robe because you're cold, you won't be. Instantly. Seems to me to be quite well made, I'm actually ordering another one to augment the original purchase that I think I have had for t least four years. The warmth of the original has not diminished during that time. Recommended.

I bought this Robe to go with the Flannel Pajamas I bought to replace a set I've had for years, This Robe is in the Rob Roy style as the Royal Stewart Tartan is no longer available,the Robe is warm and comfortable it fits well,the only change I would recommend is the addition of a belt loop in the back to keep the belt from drooping. When you put this through your clothes dryerw,be sure to check the lint screen about half way through as this robe combined with the pj's can generate a lot of lint and cause the dryer to run longer than usual as the lint blocking the screen will keep the sensor in the dryer from sensing the moisture content of the load. Over all a very good buy.
