I bought several pair of these from Bean back in the 90's (those had functional fly's) and they were great fitting. Bean quit carrying them and I couldn't find comparable quality anywhere. Now they have these....no where near as good, baggy in the seat and thighs and no functional fly. Overall a little sloppy looking but good quality fabric and workmanship. I could use them to work in the garage or yard but I wouldn't wear them out in public.

The material feel and style were disappointing. The material looked softer in the photo and the style was not very flattering. The quality looked as good as you would expect from LL Bean.

Made it clear that I wanted 30" length, not 34". Cannot use this item as it is way too long so I have returned it for a refund.

I have two pair of the same (stock # 515171) purchased a few years ago and love them. The pants which I am now reviewing (same stock #) are terrible. What makes them terrible is the stretch waist material. The older pants have a robust stretch, where the reviewed item stretch is thin and weak. Thus I must constantly pull them up to keep them from dropping to my ankles. I'll have to go to the store to check the waist material to find a replacement pant.

Ordered an inseam of 32" inseam measured 30-1/2" sent it back and ordered a 34" inseam was told I had to pay over $6.00 to send pants back when it was a mfg error. Called customer service which was absolutely no help at all and told me to reorder the same pant with the original 32" inseam. Are you for real??

These dock pants have no fly making relieving one's self awkward or impossible depending on circumstances. Very big drawback.

This purchase was a birthday present for my brother. He thanked me for the box.

These Men's pants don't have a fly zipper which is essential !!!

I purchased 2 pairs of these for my boyfriend who has Parkinson's, and trouble with buttons, etc. The tie string at the waist is much too weak and flimsy to appreciably hold pants comfortably and efficiently at the waist----they'd be slipping off his waist with normal walking, and pant legs thus dragging a bit. We returned them. There needs to be some remodeling of this design.

Purchased paints in mid-Dec 2023. Pants run big so I returned to exchange for a smaller size. Instead of processing a simple swap of pants and sending back (which any other company would do), LLBean tried to hit my credit card with an additional charge for the exchanged pants. My CC company properly declined this duplicate charge - but doing so befuddled this company and my exchange was now in limbo. I called customer service to see the status of the exchange and the rep went on to inform me they HAD to run the charge for the exchanged pants and then would process the 'return' a couple of days later. What? Really? I explained the CC company will simply not allow a duplicate charge and just send out the exchanged pants as I already paid for the original pair. Nope can't do that. Rep said she needed to process a full refund or it will stay in processing limbo. I said fine process the return but instead of crediting my CC account she processed it as a credit on a gift card being sent back to me. Absolutely horrendous customer service and I audit CC companies so I know how these processes work. Shame on you LL Bean, shame on you.

I have ordered and returned this pant 3 times. I have talked with 3 people and explained that they are the wrong pant. The pant has the wrong name on the item. I order the plain band and keep getting the the gathered band. I was told to hold on to the last pant until I got another order and it was the wrong pant again for the 3rd time. I give up- please credit my account. Please look at the label on the pant and check it with the magazine. You keep sending the walnut pant.

The pants, at first try-on, were too tight at waist. These were ordered as Large, but are too small.

Well, I returned these a few weeks ago. The draw string was uncomfortable especially when I had to ightenr it to keep the pants from sagging. The material was comfortable, so I rechanged these pants for a similar pair that had belt loops.

Pants that have phony flies are unacceptable that is why i returned them i wanted a real zipper and long enough to use the little short ones u usually use are useless

The style is simple and attractive; fabric is soft and comfortable. Size ordered fit well.

The crotch of these pants is too high for a male. I think they were fitted for females very uncomfortable so I returned them and had to pay for shipping.

Ordered both large and medium. The large was too big. The medium too small. Was really excited about the style, but disappointed that I couldn't get the right size.

The pants were too small, my husband needed a larger size. I sent them back to exchange for a different size, but haven't received the new ones, yet.
