I really wanted to like these pants as many reviewers gave positive feedback. Two things (echoing other's comments) made me return them. Wrinkles: washed per instructions but folds and wrinkles are apparently permanent. Back pocket: what was the designer thinking? Too small to hold a phone or anything of size.

I wear 29' inseam, 28" too short and 30' too long. 2 inches makes a big difference!!! I had to have them altered because 30' dragged the floor. Will order from other sites to get my size.

I like the pants but found that 30" was too long and 28" was too short. Sent back.

I like these pants for lounging around the house and walks around the neighborhood, but the back pocket (only one) is very small and there is no fly which is a drawback if you wear them for other events.

I bought these when LL first started carrying them, maybe a year or less ago, and I raved about them because they fit, looked good, outdoorsy, a little technical, and they are good for hiking and biking. I like the combo right side pocket with a zippered secure pocket for a driver's license on a bike ride or whatever. Convenient feature. Over time I came to really dislike the back pocket. It secures with a snap flap which is fine, but the pocket is so undersized that even a standard billfold is hard to secure and depending on where you sitit is annoyingly easy for the pocket to extrude whatever is in it. Yep, I have almost left my wallet and comb a bunch of places. If they'd remedy this one flawyou'd have a real winner. Other annoyance is that this polished cotton fiber becomes immediately cold the minute a breeze hits it. Maybe to be expected but these pants would be more versatile if the fabric was a little more suitable to the outdoor activities the pants inspire. I just use a base layer, but the point still stands.

Good material. The fit was a little too loose for a medium size

The zipper broken after a few wash. Scratched my son's phone screen and his hands . I have to take it to a replace the whole zipper. Fiber material are good. Zipper quality need to be improved. I ordered more than 5 pants. Hopefully others don't broke as fast.

I've had three pairs of these. The black is great and looks like new. The grey pair hasn't held up as well. Material has pilled even though I haven't worn them as much. A blue pair I received even though they were they were allegedly the same size as the others were very snug. If you have pets with sharp claws beware. My daughter's little dog snagged a thread on the blue pair.

Comfortable for hanging around in. However it desperately needs a fly. Quite inconvenient several times a day if you know what I mean.

The fabric is thin, the pants are not as ventilated or cool as khakis, and they are not dressy enough to wear with travel or w/ leisure touring on vacation. They are more akin to nice pajamas or extremely casual pants for work around the house.

I recently purchased a pair of these pants thinking they would be ideal for a long plane trip as well as to wear to and from the beach area once at my destination. After pulling them out of the was and dryer the came it so wrinkled it would be shameful to wear them on a plane. I checked the label and because to the fabric it says not to iron. Checked with customer service and their answer was to dampen them with a spray bottle an smooth them out by hand. Not a great solution. I know these are a casual pant but they look as though the wearer could care less how they looked.

I bought these a month ago. Material is good but the waist drawstring is made of a silky material that is difficult to knot and will not hold a knot when it is accomplished. That is not helpful and the pants slide down easily and will not hold at the required spot.

The pants are exactly what I wanted. The negative point is: the front pockets' opening is very tight. My hands are not overly large

Love the material. And the pockets, especially the wallet pocket. I find the xxl too baggy in the legs and the xl too tight around buttocks. I went with the xxl just wish the legs were a bit more tapered.

Legs were too long. I wear 30" and ordered such. These drag on the ground under the heel of my shoes

I like the fit but was expecting the material to be more comfortable, meaning soft.

Whoever creates the specifications for the manufacturers is not qualified, maybe even less than that. It would have been surprising for Bean's years ago. Now it's routine - Bean's no longer stands apart, maybe not even even.

The waistband does not have sufficient elastic strength to keep the pants up, and the draw string does compensate for it. Also the pants could be improved with a fly front, even if it just had a Velcro closer.

Elastic waist band is not strong enough to keep pants from sliding down. Have to tighten draw string tight enough to work but that causes to bind.

The leg lengths were off almost an inch. I brought my tape measure to the store to show them. One pair was okay but several of the others were not. Excellent service by all employees.
