I'm a tall slender fella standing at 6',5". I was so happy to see this pant came in a 36" inseam. I ordered one pair to see how it would fit and I knew immediately upon taking it out of the package that it would not be nearly long enough for me. I tried it on anyway. The bottom of the pant was two inches or more above my ankle! Come on L.L.Bean!! There is no way that was a 36 inch inseam! I would love for someone at the company to get back on me about this because other than the terrible length of the pant, it appeared to be a well made pant with good pockets and good feel to the material. If you are tall don't get the 36 in. inseam!!

The water resistant Cresta Hiking Pants were going to be my travel pants, something to pull out of a suitcase and look presentable as well as pants that could withstand spills and things that happen when traveling. I purchased a pair, tried them on, tucked them away for summer. All good. In the meantime I bought another pair same style, size, different color, otherwise duplicate order. I tried the second pair on. They seemed looser and not as snug fitting. I compared, even measured inseam inconclusively. They definitely fit differently, little longer, baggier, a smidgen more volume in the legs and bagged out around the knees. As I compared I noticed something else. Every time I bent over the snap fastener over the fly, that which keeps the pants closed, kept popping open. The waist was otherwise comfortable, but the slightest pressure on the button kept popping it. I REALLY wanted these pants to work. Returned them both and now looking for new travel pants. Bummed.

Hiking pants are a difficult thing to buy. The sizes are all over the place, these are no exception the waistline was way to tight in my size and the straight leg was more like balloon pants. The only high mark is the material is light and I'd imagine comfortable if the size pattern wasn't so off. I'd recommend going to a store to try on various sizes, ordering online will just disappoint / annoy you having to return your pants that don't fit.

I have worn similar pants for many years, purchasing a name brand from one of the big box retailers. I decided to treat myself to the LL Bean version of these active pants.
The Bean pants are about three times the price, but I still wanted to try them. I should have stuck with what I was using.
First, the pants were repeatedly backordered. Close to six months from order to arrival.
When they arrived, I immediately felt that the quality didn't justify the price. The material is thinner and doesn't feel as good, and the stitching is poor; one of the leg seams is frayed. Three times the price and the quality is inferior.
Lastly, to return them requires paying $7.95 postage.
I am a long time customer and generally love LL Bean. My wife and I have lots of their clothes, and we have more LL Bean totes in our home and vehicles than I can count. But they really missed the mark with these pants.

Either is too big or too small, you don't really get the good perfect fit .

The pants would not hold up in the purposed that I purchased. I need pants that would hold up in working in my yard andin my work shop

Normally wear a 31 or 32 waist, but can't keep these pants up unless I chinch up my belt really tight. Baggy, loose, way too big and floppy. Washed so can't send back. A major disappointment. I thought the standard fit would be somewhat trim.

Baggy thru seat and thighs. By description and picture I thought fit would be much better. I returned for credit.

Like the pants but the Snap came off after 2 washings. For how much they cost they should be more durable.

Ordered my size but didn't fit . Was way too small. I have a 40 waist. Don't even think these were 38.

I have three pairs of long pants and four shorts. All same size same style. Have been wearing for seven plus years, suddenly quality is terrible! First pair shrunk in the wash (cold) and air dry, reordered and second pair arrived too small. Not sure I trust LL Bean to order another, will not likely buy again

I order an xl 32" inseam. I received pants that had a tag that said that but inseam was actually 28 inches. The pants were 4 inches short even thought it had a 32 inch tag!!!!!!

They're too expensive for the light material they're made of AND the length isn't even close to being correct. Pant legs are a full 4" longer then they should be despite ordering my size and saying they're my size on the label. Had to pay to have them hemmed.

I currently have two pairs is different colors sized 34 waist and 32 inseam. This pair is marked 34 waist /32 inseam, however the waist is actually too big and probably two inches larger than the 34 inch waist of the pants that I currently have. The inseam and quality of the pants were as good as expected.

I have 36" waist pants from a few years ago. they fit fine. Then ordered more earlier this year- too tight. Returned them and ordered 38" waist. Just got them. Too loose. Will have to return these too. I don't want to pay the return fee. This is getting to be difficult. I really like these pants. I have 36" waist shorts too. 5 pairs of shorts and 5 pairs of the long pants. The waist continues to be the issue.

I have purchased the same brand of pants in the past, however, the current pair are mislabeled. The label is the correct size but the pants are several sizes too small.

I've bought 4 or 5 pairs of Cresta pants. Every few years the style changes. The "standard" fit I recently bought is a baggier cut, with two cargo pockets. I loved the previous version, dubbed "regular," which had a slimmer cut, different belt loops, and one cargo pocket.

I have 2 pairs of Cresta pants already. Love them. Ordered a third pair of the Carbon Blue. Tried them on and they were too long. Even though they were the exact same size as the others 34w x 30 length. I measured them and there was an extra inch of length!
I was shocked that they were defective considering LLBean usually makes suck great products.
Disappointed long time customer.

Nice material and good pocket placement but a bit short-waisted and the waist, itself, was 4-6" large. I ordered 42" waist and got 46"(marked 42) and the 46" stretches to 48". Makes these pants essentially unwearable.

Bought one pair of Cresta Pants and loved them for fit. Bought a second pair of exact same and sizing was baggy but kept them for yard work. Tried a third pair and returning them for bagginess and length. Regular Fit/Natural Fit/ Standard Fit makes it near impossible to judge correct fit online. Inconsistent sizing. Disappointed.

Cheap - I bought a similar pair a few years ago and these are inferior (oversized too) will return for refund.

The pants are very well designed: I was impressed, and would recommend them. I returned both pairs because the fabric is light summer weight material. I live in Colorado and need something now which is more substantial and warm. I suggest the blurb in the catalog mentions the fact they are for warm weather wear.

We waited for weeks for these pants on back order and then when they arrived the sizing was just ridiculous! We ordered the 36 waist and when we measured, it was 39.5 inches!! And the thigh area was HUGE! Not sure what happened with the quality control on this product, but it clearly was not in evidence!
