Chubby ankles? Then not for you - If you have chubby ankles then these won't fit you. I had to take these to the cobbler and have a gusset put in. Love them and they are super comfortable but adding the extra width on my ankle ruined their waterproof feature. Otherwise these are great!

Tall Boot Shaft - I have wide feet and the shaft on this boot was too tall for my ankle/calf since it doesn't have a gusset.

Good, but not great - Wore these all over Paris in the rain. They held up very well, but I needed more arch support a la Naot (but they aren't waterproof).

Comfortable shoes but the style is just too pointy for me.

These are extremely uncomfortable for me. I have worn this style of boot and the same heel height for years. I had these on for 2 hours and my feet were in considerable pain. I took them off immediately and still had a bruise on the ball of one of my feet even though I was wearing cushioned socks. After taking these boots off I noticed areas of the bottom sole seemed warped. I believe I must have received a defective pair as other reviews state these boots are very comfortable.

Incredibly comfortable, high quality shoes. Fleece lined to keep your feet warm in colder months. Worth the investment.

This is a fabulous-looking pair of boots! The quality, like all La Canadienne boots, is outstanding. Sadly the toe box is so narrow, I’m afraid they would be uncomfortable for walking. My foot is a true medium width. If yours is on the narrow side, then I totally recommend these.

Comfort out of the box - Rarely am I able to wear new shoes without a break-in period. I could tell the minute I slipped on these boots that they were winners. My feet felt cushioned, comfy, supported, and free of pressure spots. They look great with jeans and are streamlined enough to avoid the clunky look so common in comfort shoes. I can hardly wait for cooler weather to wear them!

La Canadienne Faye - Great, comfortable boot - This the most comfortable boot I've ever owned. I bought one in brown & one in black for a trip to France because they are good looking and waterproof. I couldn't wait to wear the black pair and walked all over town for hours the first time without any foot pain. I had to buy a size 12 (I'm an 11-1/2) and with a pair of socks on, they fit perfectly. I've had bunion surgery and still have problems finding shoes that are this comfortable. Susan

Sheila - Just the Best! Like wearing slippers...warm, comfortable, and stylish. I can walk for miles in comfort. The only boot that I have had that stays completely dry, yet never changes the beautiful suede finish.

Great boot...stylish...comfortable... Finally I found a boot that is stylish and comfortable. I bought it to walk around NYC in February and it served the purpose very well. Even with all the walking, my feet were comfortable and warm plus they looked good. I didn't have any issues with the narrow ankle and calf and the width of the shoe was perfect - I could wear a light wool sock without feeling cramped.

Love Them - I live in a Ski town where we always have lots of snow. These are the first fashionable AND functional boots that have withstood the weather here in Steamboat Springs CO. Super comfy, waterproof, decent traction and attractive. Timeless piece that is worth the investment.

I love these boots - These boots look great and feel amazing. They are soft and warm and perfect for everyday wear. Definitely worth every penny.

Stylish and comfortable everyday winter boot - This is my 3rd pair of La Canadienne's in 3 years. I wear all 3 pairs all winter long and they don't look like a heavy boot, but yet they are warm and can handle the NE snow and rain. I don't worry about getting them dirty outside with my kids, and I can still look stylish. This particular boot is narrow at first (much narrower than others by the brand), but stretched out after 1 day and are 100% fine now.

These boots were made for walking! I first bought these in brown and purchased a different pair in black. After comparing the fit and look of the two for a few weeks, I was so much happier with Faye that I ordered them in black too. They hold up well to slush, and they're comfortable after a long day of urban navigation. You'll love them!

I like them a lot...cute with jeans and good for work. Casual choice instead of sneakers. They feel a little big...maybe a half a size.

Very nice, comfortable boot! Good quality, nice leather, waterproof. True to size. Looks great! Very narrow around the ankles - I have thin ankles and they are snug, so if you have average or above average ankle size, you may not be able to zip them up! Worth the money!

Great boot - I choose this boot after trying on several pairs . I need a warm boot for a holiday trip to the northeast. I knew we would be walking a lot on our visit to NYC and comfort was key. I am completely happy with these boots. They are so comfortable with a nice slim fit up the ankle and also warm.

Amazingly comfortable - Super comfortable from the first time I put them on. I am not a heels person, and they feel like wearing flats. Ankle area is a bit narrow - I exchanged the regular for the wide and these fit great.

I purchased a size 8M in the coffee suede color. They were comfortable right out of the box. I am a true size 8M. The only potential problem with these boots is that they are tight at the ankle and above (but not in the foot area). I'm a thin person too. I find that the boots fit best with a thin trouser sock rather than thicker socks. I love the color and look of the boots! Practical, warm, and stylish!

Amazing boots - I love these boots. First, they are available in Wide, which works better for me. They are the most comfortable shoes--I am an attorney and I walk all over downtown Chicago with these. They look great with jeans or dress pants at the office. They are stylish, yet durable and practical. They will be great for a Chicago winter. Many people have complimented me on these boots. I bought them in 2 colors!!

Great boot! I needed a boot to wear with jeans and I found it! They are very comfortable out of the box. I wore these all afternoon on the first day and loved them. I may get a little arch support to put inside, but they are ok even without it. I ordered my normal size. I like several shoes and boots this company has to offer, so it was a hard decision. Of course, Zappos is the BEST!!!

Good city all weather boot - I was looking for an attractive (relatively) stylish all weather boot. I live in a city and need to walk everywhere, but I get tired of looking dowdy in sneakers. Plus, with autumn and winter coming, I needed something weatherproof. These look good with jeans, are comfortable enough to walk all day in, and are waterproof. Hard to find an attractive practical boot, and this is about as close to that as possible.

Stylish and comfortable - Love these boots. Comfortable, if a little snug, out of the box... I know the suede will stretch. Look great with jeans. Love that they are waterproof.
