The quality of LL Bean clothing has always been top of the line and we've shopped there for quite some time. The jeans I purchased for my significant other were not the style she prefers but we misplaced the receipt. I was hoping to return the jeans and get a credit towards another item from LL Bean but they refuse to take them back. The jeans were never out of the package they arrived in and all tags are still on the jeans. Knowing how customer focused Your company is I was hoping they will allow me to return the jeans for credit. I would really appreciate it. I'm retired and living on a fixed income and I can't afford to purchase another pair without the credit.

These jeans fit well and are very comfy. But beware of putting them in the dryer for very long! They shrink at the abs and waist, which is where I like them on the comfortable (read: not skin tight) side.

These run quite small. I am usually a size 10-12. A size 14 in these jeans was slightly to small (around the waist only) but I'll keep them because the fit is really cute.

When the reviews say to size up, believe them. I sized up from 10 to 12, and the waist was still too tight. I got them zipped, but too tight for comfort. I reordered in size 14. For reference, I am 150 lbs 5' 6", usually wear a size 10. Other than that, they were nice looking jeans and I can see why the high reviews. I'm hoping the size 14 aren't too big, but will see when my new order arrives.

The mid-rise fit is best for me and these jeans are a comfortable breathable joy to wear. I have had them for a while now and they wash up well. I like how I look in them. The only con is the lightness of the materials, which means they probably won't be very warm in the colder temperatures of winter.

Larger size did not come with smaller inseam. ordered a petite 4 but needed a 6. The only issue was the 6 did not have the smaller inseam necessary for the customer.

Although I went from a Size 16 to Size 14 in the unwashed jeans, after washing and drying in the dryer, the Size 16 became my go-to pair. The waist seems to be the reason why, even after losing weight. These jeans are comfortable, look presentable and the straight-legs are stylishly slim, even as a senior. I don't know if they will be warm enough in the winter. Time will tell. They are my new replacement for the Tru-Shape Jeans, which no longer fit comfortably after my weight loss.

Love these BeanFlex mid-rise, straight-leg jeans, as I have for the past several years. Though by the size charts I should wear a 2 or 4, the 8 is perfect--maybe slightly long, but that's never bothered me. I'd previously worn size 10 when I was about 120 lbs. but have lost weight. However, I ordered Vintage Faded, and they smelled as if sprayed with pesticide, and 3 washings did nothing to help! The replacement pair was exactly the same. These were replaced with the Stonewashed color (my old favorites), and they are just fine. They washed and dried well, losing only about 1/2 inch in length. Customer Service was very courteous and helpful, and each replacement was processed immediately. Except for the good pair, Bean did not charge me or make me send the bad ones back when I explained that nobody should be exposed to that smell. I threw them both in the trash. I am delighted with the end result and am ordering another pair of the Stonewashed.

These are nice, but not as nice as the same ones I purchased several years ago. The fabric and fit are different.

Review for Zappos VIP Points(What's this?)
I ordered size 4 as this is my usual size but these are too tight in the waist. Otherwise I really liked them, the color, the length M/T and they fit my hips well. These seem to be higher waisted than my other jeans so maybe that's why the waist was tight. I returned them.

I'm 5'1" / 115 pounds and needed an 8 petite in these! I went by the chart and ordered a 6, which seemed large but was actually too small, and I had to go up a size.
The jeans are fine. They're jeans. I like when things come with petite inseams :)

Purchased a low-rise pair of jeans from L L Bean and the fit was horrible on me. So I returned them which was so easy and purchased this pair of jeans. Now I own two pair of this style in the same color and I am happy.

Was disappointed not to be able to reorder a couple pair of the TruShape jeans, but decided to trust LLBean and it's new leader. Sad that the styles are heading towards the high rise jeans, while also glad to still being able to find mid rise. The BeanFlex seem to be about a half size smaller than TruShape, as well as about an inch longer. While I'm concerned how the wear will show up on the hem, since they gather a bit above my shoes, I'm mostly happy. Some information about sizing during a change like this might go a long way to paving a better relationship with long time shoppers like me. And I don't mean reading the information in reviews -- I want it from the people selling the product.

Well made as usual but not stretchy at all. Also about 1" too short for me (28").

I like the way the pants fit me. Not too snug or too loose. It spells comfort all over. Thank you for a wonderful jeans that moves with me fluidly and not too stiffly.

Like the jeans and they fit well. Love the flex. Not wild about the midrise -- prefer high (at waist); but, Bean didn't have a high rise choice in this fabric and style. These will do until I find a source for the high-rise flex.

Still a little too stretchy so that it pulls down while wearing. Unfortunately all jeans seem to be made this way now. Otherwise pretty good jeans.

I haven't worn these jeans yet. Historically I wear a 4 in LLBean jeans. I ordered the 4 and 6. Sent both back. The 8's are a perfect fit.

I frequently purchase L.L.Bean clothing, so I realize that while the tops run true to size, the bottoms often run small.
I typically wear a size 6 or 8 in jeans. When I ordered these, I chose a size 10. When they arrived, I happily pulled them on. They fit well everywhere but the waist.
While I could button them, the muffin top they created was too great. I exchanged them for a size 12 and they fit well.
So, in short, I had to go up 2-3 sizes for the best fit.
As other reviewers noted, they do have a chemical smell to them, so I washed the pair before wearing. The quality it great and I love the color of the darker rinse. I will likely order more.

When LLBean discontinued the Favorite Fit option for their Trueshape slim jeans, I was very disappointed since I had ordered many pairs. I cannot wear the Classic Fit/high-rise. So I tried these Flex Jeans with the mid-rise. They are almost perfect, I just wish there was a slim leg option. The leg opening is just an inch or so too wide, as is the lower leg. And I don't care for the "faded fold" look on the upper front (stonewashed), it seems to be the style for all brands of jeans now--maybe it will pass out of fashion eventually. Otherwise the jeans are great.

I have not purchased jeans from LLBean in a long time and wanted to give these a try. I love the cut...they fit well at the hip and at the waist and are just the right height...not all the way to my waist but not too low either. I am disappointed in the fabric which is thinner than I was expecting. I am thinking that they will lose color and body with each wash and was hopeful that they would last longer for the price.

Last January I bought this style in Light Indigo (5'5", 125 lb, 8, med/tall). I very much like how they fit but they are longer than my usual med/tall jeans from LLBean (and definitely don't sit low on the waist). So, when I next ordered these jeans in Stonewashed, I went with the regular inseam, which turned out to be a tad short but I can live with it. I decided I like these jeans so well that I just recently ordered another pair in Bright Indigo. I went with the regular inseam and these are longer, more like my other medium/tall LLBean jeans, which is great. However, this color is quite a bit tighter, and the jeans do sit lower on the waist, so I feel like they are an entirely different style of jeans. The two darker colored jeans have a horrendous odor, though, which is persisting through several washes. It's the odor I associate with black jeans, not blue jeans. I do hope it fades away soon. Much as I like them, I think I probably won't order any more.
