The Brooks Beast is my favorite shoe. I've worn the Ghost's before, however this shoe was a royal pain to put on. I sent them back today.

I used to love the Ghost running shoe the best. The last pair I got was so uncomfortable and felt to tight for my feet. I gave them to my mother who loved them as a walking sneaker. I decided a couple years later to try the Ghost again and am feeling the same way about this pair. They just don't work for me any more and seem to run narrow and small now. I'm bummed because they were my go to sneaker for a long time.

Disappointed: toe box; lower part of shoe was wide and even with an insert was too wide. I purchased a narrow and it felt like a medium width; I do not recommend for people with narrow feet, Also, looks like wide shoes.

I love the shoes but I bought shoes on February 12th, Ghost 15's, and as I was trying my shoes the laces burst through the hole and the shoes are ruined. It looks like the other ones are worn down as well. Searching through the reviews it appears I am not even close to the only one.

First off, I took Brooks up on the Run Happy guarantee and my money was fully refunded. Now, the review. Ghost 15's look great. Great colors and design. That's where the good part ends. I've owned 4 pairs of Ghost 9 and loved them. I owned 1 or 2 Ghost 10 and liked them. I bought TEN pairs of Ghost 12 because they were the best! I had one pair of Ghost 13 but didn't like the feel, so I just wore them for work. Ghost 8,10 and 12 all felt fantastic right out of the box. Every run for hundreds of miles was incredibly comfortable. Ghost 15's felt nothing like my previously loved Ghost 12 and 9. Ghost 15 didn't feel cushy and comfy. I gave them a chance by running at least 35 miles in them. Ghost 15 felt - for the lack of a better description- dead. I ran in some well used, but still okay- Ghost 12's after returning the 15's, and that run felt much better than each run with the 15's. I tried the 15's on two treadmills and outside. None of those runs felt good. Ghost 15 felt similar to shoes I've run in that were more towards the minimalist end, but Ghost 15 had a little more support. Hindsight being 20/20, I didn't think the 15's felt cushy enough right out of the box, so I should've returned them I didn't for two reasons. 1: my love of precious Ghost shoes. 2: Brooks' Run Happy guarantee. I'll be looking for a new pair of half (or full) marathon shoes. Hopefully a different Brooks model. I think I'll have to go to a store to try some new varieties.

These shoes are much larger than another pair I have in the same style and size. The photo shows my older left shoe and the new much larger right shoe. They are both labeled as 9.5 D.

I have been wearing the Ghost since series 9 and average 120-150 miles a month and it seems with each rendition they get more cosy, wear faster and it seems you can't get the laces on the 15 to stay tied unless you double tie them they are a decent shoe but I think brooks has gotten to full of themselves and quality has gone down while the price is 50% more then when I started wearing the

I used to have the ghost 13s, moved over to a new shoe brand for a while but missed the cushioning and lightness of brooks. This one provides barely any cushion or spring for asphalt running. My knee was throbbing after 2 miles. Sad.

There is little to no cushion in the front of the foot. Not comfortable as expected.

The Ghost 15s have less arch support and less cushion than the 13s. The 13s were amazing, and consistent across all the colors I tried at the time. I have tried 5 different Ghost 15s at the store (different colors, same size). They each fit differently. Only 1 - the Empower with the parchment/Lilac - fit well enough to purchase (and only ones I tried that were not on sale!). This is SO disappointing. I went to 5 stores and tried everything recommended for high arch/high drop, neutral. Even though this is much less comfortable than than the 13s, it was unfortunately my best option for running. I also purchased the Trace 3 for everyday wear, which feels fantastic (and fits similar to the Ghost 13s). The Trace isn't as great for real running (less shock absorbing), but at least it feels good. PLEASE BRING BACK THE QUALITY AND FIT OF GHOST 13!!!

This is my third pair of Brooks Ghost running shoes. Ordered by mail because I know my size and fit. But, but what I didn't know was that the design is changed and the toe box is much narrower. So, not as comfortable as my two older pairs but still useable. Had I tried it on in a store I would have passed. Please bring back the wider toe box design.

Although I read the reviews and really wanted to like these, I was not satisfied with the fit. I purchased for work because I am on the go all shift and these hurt my feet every time I wore them. They are fine for casual wear but not for work. Disappointed.

Hurt my feet the minute I put them on. Little did I know there was no arch support in this model which was my own fault. Returned and purchased the adrenaline GTS and they are amazing. Wish they had more lines that had the GTS built in. Makes all the difference.

These shoes are stiff and uncomfortable around the ankles. I always wore Ariels and I wish I would have ordered them again because they were instantly comfortable and supportive.

I didn't love it. The toe area was small. There wasn't enough support near the front of she shoe. It felt like my feet would angle downward when walking. It wasn't super comfortable either. Bummer.

I got the all black shoe. It's a good looking shoe and comfortable enough. BUT the laces will NOT stay tied. It drives me crazy. I don't know if they are nylon or what but it is very frustrating! And I have never had my feet stink so terribly as when I remove this shoe. I don't know what's up with this shoe but I am disappointed to say the least.

The middle of the shoebed has an oddly high arch and "hill" in the center which was literally digging into the bottom of my foot and causing me physical pain. I've read about this in some other reviews on these shoes and others. I don't know if it is a new design thing, but it needs to go. I tried them for a day, and they are just too uncomfortable to keep. Also, the shoelaces are flat, and they don't stretch like the ones on my old ghosts which had a stretchy feel. I liked the stretchy ones because they did not put any pressure on the tops of my feet. Shoelaces are a big part of the shoe, and I think the stretchy ones should come back.

I've always loved Ghosts but these seemed to lose their cushioning within 3 months. Disappointing. I wonder if anyone else had the same issue.

After only have any shoes for six months, they're already worn out and falling apart. I mainly use them for walking and the gym. Too expensive to wearing out so fast.

Really disappointed in this version. They wear down very quickly, the foam support collapses easily. I have bought ghosts for probably 3 years now and this is quickiest they have worn down on me (and I haven't increased my fitness)

Hurts my feet, definitely won't run in them, just gonna use for walking. Not enough cushion! Why don't you put glycerin cushion in all your styles?? Or at least make it an available option.

Insole is flimsy. Brooks used to send good insole at customer request. Now Customer service suggested to get expensive custom orthotics. Considering the price of this shoes, why should I spend more money. Ghost 11 was good. Ghost 14 was worse. Ghost 15 is a little bit better than 14. Brooks made good shoes. Now quality of Dyad also has gone down. Its insole was the best . Now it has gone worse. Why Brooks is ruining the quality of its products. Very disappointed.

I had to give the shoes a low rating, because I didn't even get three weeks out of them before the right shoe started falling apart. I wasn't even using them for running, just for walking. I did think they had good hind foot support but not enough forefoot cushioning.
