These shoes look great and fit as expected from a 65 last. (My first time taking the gamble for factory seconds and I'm very pleased with them.) The edge of the cap presses on the top of my foot a bit when walking because of the super flexible rubber cup sole, but I'm hoping that will soften up/go away as they break in. The only real negative to these shoes is the insole construction - someone apparently thought it would be a good idea to butt two different foam materials together in a straight line right under the ball of the foot with an adhesive that forms a very rigid line. This is immediately noticeable, and it feels kind of like you're standing on a zip tie. I thought maybe it was a defect until I pulled the insoles out to inspect them. At least they are removable, and they will certainly be replaced with more comfortable insoles. Hopefully Allen Edmonds will make a change to these insoles, I'm surprised I haven't seen this mentioned in the reviews. At the price point of these shoes comfort should be a top priority and a simple insole change should be quite an easy and inexpensive thing to address.

my late husband always bought Allen Edmonds shoes and never had a problem with his purchase. I bought these shoes for my grandson for Christmas and they are nice looking shoes but i was disappointed with the workmanship. on one shoe the shoelace holes were alittle off. These shoes were not on sale but look as if they should have been sold at the outlet. I am very disappointed in this product.

I would not buy these again. They are very uncomfortable

You guys have me round laces on one and flat on the other, i paid 300 for shoes I haven't even worn yet because of it
